Stay away from Northern General Bodyworks, Bundoora, Vic – I got an appointment from them to inspect my car on 5th March 2021 at 10:30 am. After inspecting the car they said it required 10 working days to fix it. And they ask me to bring in the car on 16th April to start the work. I dropped the car on 16th April at 10:00 am. After 1 week exactly on 23-04-2021. I got a call from them saying that they don't… Read more

want to fix my car. And ask me to take the vehicle to some other panel beaters to get fixed. I choose them just because they are the one that has an earlier available date in the RACV approved panel beaters. As this is an insurance claim I just want to get fixed asap. But later I realized it the big mistake taking the car to them and waited all these days. If they could have said that earlier I would have taken the car to somewhere else to get fixed and got the car back by this time. Avoid them and the same time.

No customer service here! – My car was taken to Tullamarine for repair and was told it wasn't much and should take about a week. After 1 week I was told on Wednesday 19/9 there was a delay and the car wouldn't be ready till the following Monday. I rang Monday afternoon and was told the car would now be ready Tuesday morning and it was now at the Bundoora shop and was… Read more

given the choice of waiting for it to be towed back to Tullamarine or go and pick it up in Bundoora. I opted to pick it up and was told I'd get a call in the morning confirming it was ready. I rang Tullamarine at 10am and was told the car was in the wash bay at Bundoora and they would ring when it was finished. No call so I rang at 11.55am and was told the car won't be ready till 3 or 4pm, I asked what happened - the car was being washed this morning and now its not ready? [Name Removed] stated she didn't know. I rang the Bundoora shop and asked why there was a delay when the car was supposedly washed and ready - the lady put me on hold and asked the manager and returned and said they didn't know why [Name Removed] had said the car was being washed. I rang back [Name Removed] and asked why she had told me the car was in the wash bay and she said she had spoken to the Manager [Name Removed] and that's what he had told her. There is no customer service here at all, this was a relatively minor repair and I only put my car in there because the RACV recommended it. I'll obviously be changing my policy as well as my repairer - if I ever get my car back!
