Purchased a month ago. This fridge makes a low hum constantly, but it is not annoying unless you are easily agitated. Seems to work well otherwise with regards to interior lighting and temperature consistency. An issue is that the top mount door needs to be manually closed on occassion because it doesn't like to self close unless from a fully open… Read more

postion (we don't like it slamming shut all the time as it is heavy enough that it tends to pop open the freezer door momentarliy (which is stated as normal in the intruction manual)). Freezer compartment is well designed. Controls are straightfoward and you don't need any online or AI gimmicks to get it working as per your own preferences (which are basic). Is OK on power as we have not seen any power spikes after changeover from previous fridge.

Quieter than I thought it would be given the bad reviews here. I had an old Westinghouse which was on the way out, so thought would get the same brand. We let the fridge sit for 24 hours before turning it on after putting it in place, giving it time any for gases or oil to settle in the compressor. I was told that these potentially get moved… Read more

around during transportation (especially if the fridge had to be carted horizontally to get it through a door frame, or similar) and that if the liquids/gases are not settled in the compressor, and the fridge is turned on too quickly thereafter, this can lead to damage to the fridge / compressor and possible the noise issues that people have been raising here. The fridge is as quiet as the old one.

sadly bought this Westinghouse WBE 4302AC, from JB HiFi on the 7th of June 2025. Called Electrolux about the noise after the first week and cancelled visit as tech' friend said they might take a while to "bed in". Motor is going 90% of the time!!! Since then I have had Elecrtrolux out twice and they say for this fridge to run 90% of the time is… Read more

normal. It is a drinks/ spare fridge and is hardly ever opened, yet we have an 8 year old Westinghouse we use as our main fridge and it runs for twenty minutes and is off for an hour and a half. This new fridge runs for 2 hours and is off for only twenty minutes, - door unopened!!!!!!!!! If you have one of these fridges in an open plan/ kitchen area it will drive you batty. still fighting with Electrolux to return it.

Very noisy after 6hrs of powering on – I bought he fridge on 2/12/24 and was delivered yesterday. The fridge is very noisy. The noise stops when I open the fridge door. By noisy I mean it is beyond the acceptable level. I can hear the noise from my study room at the other end of the house. Very annoying in the kitchen and lounge area where the fridge is setup. It's less than 24 hrs… Read more

and I can't take the noise anymore. Will give 24hrs and then go to Bing Lee to report the issue. My previous fridge was Westinghouse too and did a great job over 24 years. Was still working but though of getting a new Westinghouse and repenting for the decision.

Good design and well lit – Early days but a very quiet unit, bright, well lit interior. Same size as previous fridge but appears much more internal space. Very happy with bottom mount freezer which has reduced bending for fridge use. No problems to date. November.... Four months on no problems, still love it. Show details

Very loud fridge – Purchased this fridge after our Samsung fridge died after 8 years. This fridge is extremely loud and the motor runs 90% of the time. The noise is very annoying almost like a family of crickets live behind our fridge. Complained and had a technician out only to be told it's normal, and that new fridges run louder due to a different type of gas used? I purchased this because I thought Westinghouse was a reputable brand but I guess not. Show details

Nice fridge but teething issues and a clunky drawer – The first one we had delivered had been damaged in transit. It was incredibly loud from the moment we turned it on. Once we opened it up the interior of the fridge was cracked and indented in multiple places and the shelving was all out of place as if it had been knocked over or someone just threw the shelving in and forced the door shut. The good… Read more

guys instead of offering a replacement said they would just replace the door only. Thankfully Electrolux were onto it and told us to ask the good guys for a replacement and the second person I spoke to at the good guys was fantastic, organised the replacement and upgraded us to their gold service membership which has a range of bonuses.

The new fridge has been good. Ours is so quiet to run, maintains a consistent temperature which is simple to adjust and monitor as the panel is easily accessible at the side of the interior instead of at the back. It’s easy to open and close, has a great seal, it’s the perfect size for our family of 4. It’s been easy to clean and keep organised and looks nice and sleek in the kitchen. The ice maker is great with nice sized ice cubes, easy to use and it seems to freeze the water really quickly.

My only issue is the bottom freezer drawer seems to be a little bit too small and it falls off the track every time we touch it. It’s really annoying as we use this drawer a lot and it’s quite tricky to get it back on the tracks as you can’t quite see what you’re doing unless you lie on the floor. If we’d known about this issue I would have opted for a different model as my parents have an older Westinghouse bottom mount and their freezer drawers work flawlessly compared to ours. It’s quite frustrating when you just want to quickly grab something out and it turns into 5 minutes trying to fix the drawer again. I’ve given 4 stars as if it weren’t for the drawer I’d have no complaints at all!

The freezer drawers are terrible! – Fridge is noisy and the freezer drawers are terrible - they don’t fit and keep falling out - meaning the door doesn’t close properly and everything over- freezes - terrible cheap design. The profile of the runners on the drawers do not match the profile of the runners inside it’s as if they are a mis-matched model. Mine have all broken .I’d never buy this again. Show details

Drawers keeps sliding off the side rails! – Should have checked the reviews before I purchased this model! Seems to be a common problem where the drawers don't fit well and keeps falling off the rail when sliding it. I had just received the unit yesterday, 16/3/23. Before I turned on the unit, the drawers already felt it wasn't gliding smoothly. Once the temperature was cold, the drawers… Read more

falls out when drawed. My previous Westinghouse fridge was good and I assumed would be as good, but clearly not. Seriously disappointed as my partner wanted me to get LG. I hope this gets fixed cos its annoying to have to lift drawer up snd slowly carefully close it. Else I'm going to return it and get LG.

OK fridge but the freezer drawers don't fit properly – As for other reviewers (wish I had read this before buying) the freezer drawers don't fit properly. They are too narrow (by around 1cm) for the holding groves on each side and only work if are exactly aligned. If you are not super careful then they fall off. This is a design flaw. I would NOT recommend this fridge. I've attached a picture that shows how the drawers fall off the holders. Show details

Looks good and works well – Fridge and freezer are both operating well . At first I thought it was a bit loud but having checked out a lot of peoples fridges it seems to be standard. The freezer is quite spacious and much better placed at the bottom Show details

A BIG HEADACHE WITH FREEZER DRAWERS – The bottom drawer in the freezer is just a nightmare. It's not made with the proper size/dimensions. It drops down in the middle when we slide it out. And we have to actually lift it and position it properly to slide it in again. It is a design issue. I have read the same problem in one of the reviews on another similar model as well. And there's… Read more

no response from Westinghouse / Electrolux.

I bought this from The Good Guys (TGG) and on the very first day, I noticed this and mentioned the problem to TGG within 3-4 days. They lodged a service request in Electrolux. The service guy came after 25 days with a new drawer and no wonder, the problem is again precisely the same as before. In my opinion, the drawer, after getting frozen inside, is getting shrunk and losing its original dimensions. There's a difference of almost more than 1cm between the fridge's internal width and the drawer's outer width. Maybe the design team did not consider this while designing the product. It's a big headache every time we had to slide it in or out.
