Just had a Westinghouse top loader washing machine delivered. Machine not levelled properly. Will not go. Rang up and person who sold machine not interested in helping. "Should be able to figure it out!" What are my options. Feel like having it refunded!!
I just purchased a Westinghouse 8kg Top Loading Washing Machine WWT8040 and two of my thin sheets have been caught under the plastic cover of the agitator and have been wrapped up around the metal mechanical part resulting in my sheets been ruined. Has anyone come across this as I am told that it is something to do with the volume by the guy at harvey norman (sounds like bs to me)?

I have a 6 month old westinghouse wwt8040 washing machine right from the start it has never washed the clothes very well. I've tried doing only half loads, using different washing powder, using different amounts of washing powder, I empty the filter before every load. But some clothes still come out with the same dirt if not more than when they went in.I'm about ready to trade it in on a different machine as it's driving me nuts having to wash clothes twice. Any ideas would be appreciated

Yes it means the lid is not closed, or if it is then the magnetic sensor is not working.
My washing machine is bleaching some of the clothes even though I don't use bleach in there, what could be the problem?
I'm also chasing a manual for a Westinghouse Model LT955S Washing Machine. The machine is displaying a "SF" message with some beeping & I'm unsure what it means. Can anyone advise what the message means & where I might find a manual ?
I have a Westinghouse LT959S. The lid has broken at one of the hinges. How do I remove the lid so I can fix it?
There are two pins that hold on the lid. Simply press down on them and slide inwards.
Where is the filter to clean out on this washing machine?
The filter is located inside the agitator, easy to clean just pull it out and rinse.
My 9.5 westinghouse top loader has just started showing an error message it wont agitate. Taken agitator out. Cleaned filter. Its a direct drive machine..any ideas? (

My Westinghouse 9.5kg washing machine won't turn on after moving house. I blamed the removalists but my question is how much at the very most to get repaired?
It sounds like the 'on' switch may be the problem....my machine has a dodgy switch and sometimes I have to keep pushing the button in until it clicks... I don't switch the machine off for this reason.
It would appear my magnet has corroded on lid of my washer. Where can i get a new one.?
Hello Kelly.. my magnet has just corroded as well.. were you able to buy a magnet for the lid?.... how did you fix the problem??.. and how much was it to fix??... if you dont mind me asking.. i am led to believe i have to buy a whole new lid (mine is perfect except for magnet) @ $160 plus postage of $30... for a $2 magnet. Aaarrrggghhh.... but i do love my washer... thanks in eager anticipation.. suzanne
To be honest I've had little luck as far as Electrolux / Westinghouse goes .. They told me I needed to buy the whole thing too .. But I found a nice thick fridge magnet which I shaped to fit & got the machine going .. Am going to try out some hardware stores to find what I really need .. The good news is my machine is going ..

I have a Westinghouse LT955S washing machine
The machine has an agitation problem in the WASH cycle - it will only rotate in a counter-clockwise direction (when viewed from above)
I emptied the machine and restarted the wash cycle.
As the machine fills, it will rotate the bowl and agitator in a clockwise direction to disperse and mix the soap powder.
It does this normally ie. there is nothing stopping the mechanical process of rotating CCW.
When it gets to the wash cycle however (the wash cycle agitation, it will only rotate CCW - stop - CCW - stop - CCW etc. Never clockwise.
As a result, clothes wind up around the centre spindle
Any suggestions please?
I have no idea why it would do that but whenever I get problems with the computer function...(sometimes the machine decides to go a bit mental)....I always switch the machine off for a short time then back on and it always resets itself and works perfectly. Hope that helps, good luck!

Hi I have the same model and it keeps giving an error about the agitator. It suggests to press the start|pause button. After pushing the start|pause button it will try to wash (agitate) but same thing happens. Now, I checked a lot of video how to remove the agitator to check couplings or dogs but I can't find anything for this model. I have removed the agitator but I can't remove the agitator plate. I wonder if anyone at Electrolux could guide me how to remove the agitator steel plate. Any advise or help would be very much appreicated.
I have exactly same problem with beeping and error about agitator. Am getting someone to come out for service. Will report back what happens!
