Oven door – Oven and stove top very functional. Issue with small area of pitting/rust of metal door where it meets glass. Electrolux Customer service offered a satisfactory resolution to fix problem. Thank you Denise. Show details

Brand New 1 Day Old: Enamel top getting hot like Oven – Just bought a new and got it installed today. After the electrician left just got it started to check, the enamel top gets extremely hot in 15 mins. Customer care says its normal and technician may charge $145 call out fee if its not manufacturing fault. I wonder whose fault is it for a brand new oven 1 day old. Thanks Con  Show details

Perfect cooking – My top of the range is Westinghouse I have had a few ovens over the past few years which only last for around 4 Year’s compared to my previous Westinghouse which lasted for years. I have now purchased the Westinghouse and love the way it cooks Top elements go on fast and when turned off don’t take too long in heating up Love the grill Love how… Read more

easy it is to clean the top and that there are no element trays just one large tray that slides out for easy cleaning

Only thing I don’t like is the oven door with the double glass that has a divide between them which stuff get in and is very hard to clean almost like one glass needs to slide off for cleaning, but that is the only problem

So great cooking and easy cleaning

Exellent! – Love that it heats up quickly. Easy to clean, both inside and outside. The oven's temperature is spot on. I like the big oven space. This is value for money. Good for the budget conscious. It is not fan-forced but it is still ok. The oven cooks evenly. Love it.  Show details

It's not a good stove top – The hot plates have gone rusty the second time I used it and I can't get them clean . It looks terrible . It was new when we moved into the house . The hot plates take too long to cool down and food starts to burn if I don't take it off the hot plate  Show details

Overheating top with no appropriate customer service – The stove looks nice and appears easy to clean, but the top solid elements heat up for so long and take a while to cool down. I noticed INSTANTLY a massive spike in my power bill and the risk of burning as the top enamel heats up to scalding. I rang customer service who advised me I can gamble the $145 call out fee to be advised if this was normal… Read more

or not. Being a rental my landlord won't care and neither was customer care.

This is not helpful and not safe.

Poor performance – Okay it's a cheapy but this stove is not even worth the cheap price tag. The hot plates take a good 5 minutes to cool down by this time your food is burnt if you don't remove it from the heat and if you do the food has stopped cooking. Off to the dump with this one as I wouldn't sell it to anyone else.

thermally Dangerous. What is the standard for outside surface temp on an oven – We have only used the 535's oven twice, and both times were amazed at the surface temperature of the units outside. It would appear to reach dangerous levels, where it is scoldingly hot to touch. Not just on the glass but the door, sides and the stove top, all from the oven. I am sure in winter this will be of great benefit, but in summer… Read more

none. With this much heat conduction it must be an enormous energy waster as well, though I did not get to see the energy rating.

My advice, walk on by unless you are looking to weigh something down out at sea!

Bakers beware in my opinion this is a double grill Not an oven – I have this model and in my opinion it is the worst stove/oven I have ever had the misfortune to have in my home. Buffy is right about the hotplates but even worse is the "oven". It only has a top element and is unsuitable for baking cakes, pastries, biscuits or roasting meats. I stopped using it after the third time it set off the smoke… Read more

detectors. As a matter of home safety do not put any of the above into the so called oven and then leave it unattended as it may, in my opinion, cause a house fire, it has certainly burnt things enough to trigger the smoke alarms in my house and carbonized the top of my orange cake whilst the bottom was only half cooked.

I used to love Westinghouse products but after using this useless thing I will never buy any of their products. Falcon wrote about how easy it is to clean and I agree except for the fact that it is useless to cook with,I suppose if it does burn my house down it would make cleaning redundant.

Dreadful - all around disappointing – Bought the WLE535WA a bit under a year ago and so disappointed will have to chuck it and replace. Tried discussing disappointment with Westinghouse customer service, who suggested I sell it on ebay and try again. The solid elements are the worst. We had a Chef stove before with coil elements and it was just fine, even though it was at least… Read more

25 years old. The solid elements take forever to heat up, and then you just cannot bring anything down to a simmer in a reasonable time. The elements stay hot for ages. It is just a

monster to cook with. Lesson learned. The elements are also hard to clean and they look messy. The unit looks neat. Too long to heat up, too long to cool down to a simmer.
