This fridge has been performing flawlessly since i purchased it in early 2019. It keeps everything cool enough in the fridge & freezer & is a good size space for me as a single person, would also be ok for a small family. There are only a few issues i had which is why i did not give 5 stars. Firstly it is quite noisy, i haven't found it unbearable… Read more

like some people have said, but its definitely noticeable. Eg if i am standing in the kitchen only about 8 meters away i can't hear the TV when if it starts on one of its cycles, i have to turn the TV up to a much louder level. The second thing is the ice tray, in the last 6mths it has started to get a strong smell about it, almost like a gas smell. I have tried washing it & it has not helped, so if i will have to buy a replacement which costs $44. And thirdly, the temperature control slides are not really located in a convenient space, but that is probably the case with alot of fridges. This is a discontinued model but if you're looking to buy it second hand take these things into consideration & ask for a bargain price.

Broke at the 1 year and 11 months mark – Avoid Westinghouse like the plague, this fridge has been nothing but problems from day 1. First the temperature would be inconsistent inside the fridge. Then it died the other day for no reason. Absolutely useless Westinghouse service people made me wait a week without a fridge to get the service person to come out. While all my food spoiled Show details

I hate this fridge, it is so loud! – I thought this fridge was everything we wanted in a fridge, it checked all the boxes for the small size of our kitchen and had ample fridge space and a decent crisper! It looks nice and is well presented - but this is where is pretty much ends. This fridge is the LOUDEST, noisiest thing I have ever heard. It often sounds like it is growling, or… Read more

like an animal in pain. I have a small-ish apartment, and I constantly think someone has left the extractor fan on in the bathroom down the other end or something - but NO, it's the fridge! It is sometimes a little quieter when it is going through the different cycles, but this is short lived. Overall, it is loud 85% of the time - and to the point where it actually annoys me when going to bed. I initially demanded that they provide me another fridge because it was so loud - but low and behold, it is just the way it is. The sound often dwarfs the aircraft noise in our area.

It's not the most expensive fridge, but for the price I would have thought it could have been less scrappy. Most of it is plastic, and the butter/egg compartment is always too warm (despite the fact you may have it on the coldest setting).

The freezer space is very on the small size, and if you put larger items in e.g. frozen pizza box, it definitely won't fit. I also find that many of my items get freezer burn well before the suggested time frames, and no the freezer isn't too cold.

If you were purely staging your home and not living in it - or you are deaf, this fridge would be just fine. Also if you just wanted a fridge, with only minimal freezer space, it is fine too.

GOOD FRIDGE FUNNY NOISES – Nice fridge but at POS I wanted a model which had left handed opening door due to a very compact kitchen design. When I went to The Good Guys to make final payment I was handed a small cardboard box and was told "that was my left hand door hinges" at an extra cost of around $40. So after the fridge was delivered I had to remove the door and modify… Read more ·  1

the hinges myself! Also noticed after the fridge was moved (extremely carefully) into it's kitchen position that there is a number of small dents all over the doors. I did not make a complaint as I expected them to say I did it myself changing the hinges. Also something I wasn't told at point of sale that the instruction book contains a list of "normal" noises in this fridge, something you have to live with. Apart from that the fridge works okay but if I buy another fridge I think I will try a different brand altogether

Good Size, Slightly Noisy – I bought this fridge about 4 months ago and It is a great fridge. I like that the fridge has a inbuilt ice tray even though it does take up a large space in the freezer. The fridge shelving is great and the noise the door make when open for too long has already been quite useful. The only issue i have with the fridge is that it is a little noisy. its manageable and doesn't take over but it is noisy than the fridge i had before.  Show details

Energy efficient fridge for decent price – Good little fridge, adjustable shelves. Big without being bulky. Inbuilt ice trays which were appreciated but would've - in hindsight - liked a bit more freezer space. It makes no noise but it will beep if you leave the fridge door open too long! (This is a positive, not a negative!) Three and a half stars energy efficiency, which for its' price was excellent.  Show details

Very cheap material used – Bought this fridge about 6 months ago. It looked good and price was reasonable, however, the material used to make this fridge is as thin as cupboards! It can dent SO easily you won’t believe it. I had another Westinghouse fridge which lasted for 15 years. Was a solid performer, this new one doesn’t come any where close. I wish I’d pay a bit more and bought another brand. I won’t recommend it.  Show details

Nice Fridge with ample space – We bought a Westinghouse Fridge WTB3700WG in first week of April from Harvey Norman Maribyrnong branch. Experience was really good, staff was so helpful & guided us about the product & features & also convinced us to buy 4 years support in addition to the 2 years support provided by the manufacturer :) Fridge is 370 Ltrs which is perfect for a… Read more

small family & really nice & silent with ample space & good design. Delivery was also on time as committed & we received a follow-up call too from Harvey Norman later asking about the overall purchase experience. We are happy with the purchase & shopping experience with Harvey Norman.

Excellent small fridge so far – Context: I currently live alone so I didn't want to get a huge fridge for my apartment. This seemed to be on the smaller end, and Westinghouse is a well known brand. I didn't really care about whether it was top or bottom mounted, as long as it was reasonably energy efficient. Pros: Perfectly sized for one or two people. Even with one person,… Read more

I still manage to fill it up... It has a strong seal, doesn't seem to have significant cold spots and doesn't seem to be too loud either. Everything seems to be relatively intuitive. The number of compartments for condiments in the fridge section are also easily moveable so cleaning is easy. You can also swap the compartments around for taller condiment bottles etc.

Cons:

None that I can find yet.

Overall:

It's a decently priced fridge that's good quality. I'd recommend it to people who want a good quality fridge, but only for a small family!

Broke with a week, but has been great since replacement – I brought this fridge from the GoodGuys and it broke within 5 days of delivery. Overnight, it began cycling hot air into both the fridge and freezer, spoiling absolutely everything inside within hours! However, the GoodGuys picked it up and replaced it free of charge two days later. Since then we've had no problems with the new one. It's quiet,… Read more

you can rearrange all the shelving, temperature throughout is how it's supposed to be, and it's more than big enough for two people. I like the fridge in general but hate the fact it broke so soon!

Water leak – I need to keep replacing the seal because it's always leaking. Apart from that it's perfect but for the leak. I've replaced the seal once, since then have had to restock but it's come apart again. I would have expected the rubber seal to last more than 9 - 12 months.  Show details

Decent fridge, works well – Fridge and freezer compartments both work well. The adjustability of the shelving compartments on the door of the fridge and within the fridge is excellent and allows for optimum configuration. Freezer compartment is a bit small, with the ice making area taking up a fair bit of space. Unfortunately that is the downside of buying such a small fridge/freezer Overall: Good value for money and no major issues (yet)  Show details

Small but fit purpose – I have been using Westinghouse for more than 7 years and their fridge is very reliable. This one is small to fit our living space. The manufacturing quality is not as good as the old ones we bought 7 years ago but it works perfectly. So I think it is still good for that value.  Show details

LOOKS GOOD – I recently purchased this fridge after having my previous Westinghouse fridge for 16 years, i love the look of the silver, it is a lot quieter than the older one, and keeps a good temperature, if it lasts even half the time of the fridge it replaced i will be more than happy.  Show details

Unbearably noisy fridge – Purchased this fridge from Stan cash. Upon turning fridge on I discovered it makes Irritating noise You can’t listen to the fridge running at a retailer before purchase. Westighouse Electrolux responds with a cut and paste detailing normal noises

such as gurgling poping etc. and advising I can request a serviceman.

They will not arrange a time for serviceman, he/she will call half hour before arriving

meaning I would have to take whole day off work and wait for call at home.

If noise is deemed by serviceman to be normal service charge applies.

It’s either a crap fridge or faulty. To save the inconvenience I requested exchange for

more expensive Electrolux fridge and pay the difference, to no avail.
