WIDE AND TRUELY COMFORTABLE!! I've spent literally thousands of dollars on Australian work boots, tried every brand and always been highly unimpressed. Boots that are comfortable in the shop but dreadful after 5hrs on your feet. The only pair of boots I had in 20yrs that were comfortable were Keen and they no longer are sold in Australia. These… Read more
boots are the closest thing to not wearing boots at all, they're that comfortable. Even after a 15hr day, they're still comfortable. The only slight negative is that you can't put any old insole in because they won't fit BUT the standard insole is good but their ORTHOMAX is better. They run big which is actually really good because they don't get crazy hot but your foot doesn't slide around, zero blisters. They do take a good week to break in!
I’ve just purchased by 3rd pair with the previous two pairs lasting well over 12 months. Not only are they comfortable but they last much longer than any other brand I had previously tried. Show details
Very comfortable, but the soles fall off – Width wise these are fantastic, but the soles are detaching from the rest the boot. Thought the first pair failure might have been an isolated incident, but 2nd pair with the same problem. They are out of warranty but I only wear them one or two days a week [and there have been some months where I don't wear them at all]. I'm IT so they really… Read more
only see the very occasional 'rough use' as most of the time I'm in the office. Pretty disappointing that I
I'm actively looking for a different brand
Solid and wide – I bought these boots at the end of November 23. Had them 9 months now, worn every work day in a warehouse. At first I had my doubts because there was discomfort with the inner sock at the front and some peeling on the leather, but it seems those were just new wear issues. They have held up solidly. There is a little bit of surface cracking on… Read more
the front tips of the soles, but pallets get kicked a lot. The soles and upper have both held up extremely well since.
I would say that like any pair of leather boots that they will initially walk in well with regular application of dubbin and benefit from regular care from then on.
Their width and height are true to description. I never realised just how wide my feet are until I wore these but these fit like a glove from first on and leave plenty of room for the toes.
Just purchased 1st pair – Going on these reviews this boot has a problem with the longevity of its sole. I am a business owner and have been in the construction industry for many years spending thousands on boots for myself and employee's. I am looking foward to receiving my boots and will give an honest review on them and previous boots I have owned, I will also upload… Read more · 1
video's of what I do in my day to day work life so consumers have a better understanding into what they can expect from this boot. Cheers
A wide boot that's actually wide – Having tried every other pair of "wide" boots that I could find online, I returned all of them for the same reason - they just weren't wide enough, some of them were the same width as the standard boots my employer supplies. The one exception are the boots from Wide Load, they're genuinely wide and comfortable, and they've been my go-to ever… Read more
since.
The build quality is alright, about what I'd expect from a good pair of work boots. My current pair has lasted me over a year, the part that's breaking first is the sole where it attaches to the upper. That's pretty good given they're in use at least 40 hours a week, the bulk of which is on construction sites where they get abused quite heavily.
I'm just about to buy another pair, and will likely buy many more after that. If you need a wide boot or just want more room around your toes, here you go.
Wide Load. Best boots but – On my 4th pair. Most comfortable boots I have ever had for my wide feet. Toes are free and do not touch the sides. However the bottom of the sole starts to wear prematurely at pressure points and exposes the foam underneath which soaks up water and leads to smelly boots. Also no matter how well you wipe them you end up with wet spots when walking… Read more
indoors. To be fair I do get 8 months out of them before this occurs, given that they are worn 8 hours + five days a week. The rest of the boot is very well made and would last for over 2 years if only the bottom of the sole didn't wear out so quickly. Olivers used to make a wide toe version which would last me about 14 months before similar problems occured. Then they decided to make a " new " improved version which had my big toe pushing on the steel cap without even getting up and walking. Returned those promptly ! Gadeon Footware has had the Wide Loads on special for $195 once. Wish I had of bought a few pairs then. Will stay faithful to this brand and check periodically on line and hope to find them on special.
Great for anyone that needs width – For years I wore Oliver boots but I could not find a booth that has a wide enough steel cap until I found wide load at my foot doctor. I am just about to order my second pair Show details · 1
Excellent comfort – Have had these boots for years and found them excellent for comfort and durability. Easy to order online. I would recommend them to those needing a wider boot. Show details · 1
Great boots! Love the Wide Fitting – These boots have been a life saver for my husband. He has wider feet and has always struggled with comfortable boots. His Wide Load boots are fantastic, enough space for his foot and toes inside the steel cap. great quality and super comfortable. Show details · 1
Fit well but be aware – My husband bought a pair of these boots in January 2021 from The Boot Warehouse. They are perfect for his feet and were the most comfortable boot he had ever worn. Advance 3 months and the soul is disintegrating and falling apart on both boots. I contacted Wide Load and spoke to [Name Removed], asking what the longevity of the boots are and sent… Read more
my invoice and pictures of the souls for them to see the problem.
Basically, I was called a liar. I was told that the photo of the souls I provided where of wheat coloured boots and not black boots as the invoice said, because the souls where not black, but a concrete grey colour tinged with red from working on the mines. So I sent [Name Removed] a photo of him wearing his black boots, and still I was told that the photo of the soul was of a wheat coloured boot, and that my invoice did not match the wear that could be seen on the souls of the boots. [Name Removed] kept insisting that I was not showing him what was on the invoice when in fact I was.
I gave up trying to communicate with [Name Removed], what can you do when you have provided all the evidence, and your still called a liar. So if you buy the boots, you will find they are comfortable, but, your boots might wear out earlier then the 6 to 12 months I was told was normal wear and tear and be prepared to be called a liar, even though you have put all the evidence under there noses.
Terrible quality boot – Only boot that was comfortable for my wide feet. However. I hope the previous review is correct, and they have improved. Never received any replies back from the manufacturer re. issues I spent a fortune on these boots over the past 7 years- Same issue. The sole and the padded lining on the sole falls off. I never managed 6 months with any pair?… Read more

Extra Wide Fitting Boots that are AWESOME – If you have trouble with narrow work boots try these. As well as being very wide they are high as well. They will accomodate orthodics and come with various inners as well if you need to fill some of the height. The old model used to fall apart in 6 months but I didn't care as the comfort was great. The new model is far superior in construction… Read more
and lasts well , and still retains the comfort. If you need wide fitting boots , get into a pair of these and free your feet.
