William Angliss Institute

Support is non existent – I have been required to complete SIRRFSA001 Food Safety course due to recent Govt Legislation in the workplace. I am very familiar with food safety as I have worked in retail environment most my life. Due to recent family tragedy that I have experienced, (REPORTED IN MEDIA) my brain has been shocked and gone into survival mode( according to my counsellor) so for me to read and comprehend a 57 page document then answer 5 parts to the assessment- each part with 9-10 questions, I asked the trainer assigned to me to support me. She just told me it was an online course and I needed to do it myself. When I found the courage to explain to her why my head is not in the right state at the moment as Im probably suffering PTSD, SHE RANG UP MY EMPLOYER AND MADE A COMPLAINT. This says more about this Training Institute than it says about my mental state. Avoid these mob if you can. At no point has she rang and asked me if I needed any support with the training. Left to my own devices. I have just finished the online course now at 4.30am in the morning ( ooh not quite, there's another assessment I have to do with a third party) but 95% finsished. I have been working on it for a few weeks, so all up I'd say 9 hours ( in my mental state). And I start work for a 10.5 hour shift at 7am. Thanks Team.

Apply for the course – I was mature age student left school long time. I was interested one of willam angliss course. The staff at the beginning was nice. But after that totally waste my time. They hold me up more than a month but still no answer only said it still in process. Finally one of the teacher call me. Said that the course is hard she would like to give me a chance if i pass the test they provided. She wasnt very nice the way she talk to me by phone. Seem discrimination. I did said yes to her to take the test. But after the call no one contact me again . finally i found other course which is about medical with other school.

Willam angliss so disappointed me. I dont mind unsuccessful enter this course. Just not happy they waste my time. I never force any of them to let me in the course. What i did just trying n ask more information or advice.

Bit more about this bad service. They did ask me study cooking course with them. I did tell them many time i with food/ cooking industry more than 15 years. If i do cooking courses will not witn willam angliss. Seem the staff is discrimination as i wasnt have degree background n not able to go high up.

I think this school now more for rich oversea students with higher education background

Very Good – Completed the TAEASS502 and found the materials easy to read and understand. Assessor got back to me within an hour both times I contacted him. Got my result within 48 hours and certificate within a few days of finishing.

Grumpy Teacher – I have been graduated from university for like 22 years ago. And just this Monday of 7th July, 2014, I've found myself in this institution enrolled with a culinary course. Yes, all in fairness to other teachers during the interview, they were warmth and fantastic. But during the enrolment, there was this old grumpy teacher who acted like she was the one who paid for my tuition fees. Ignorant as I may be with everything that was going on around me, I felt that in whatever circumstance, since she is just an employee and I am one of the people who is paying for her salary, she should be at least shy away on her grouchy and grumpy attitude. The old lady has short hair, old enough to be in in institution. She is the culinary course wearing sunnies. This old lady made me felt stupid and senseless. So what if I asked a question that was already on the handbook. Why can't she not answer it a nicer way. And to note she was not the one I asked. I always of William Angliss as warmth ad friendly school, just what they portray in their site that's why I was encourage to enrol there. Choosing it over Kangan. Oh well, 6mos only and I will definitely not going to enroll in this grumpy and grouchy school. Uniform Bad, grouchy, and grumpy teacher
