Woodroffe Skylights

Great job on what was not so straight forward – From the quote to install the job ran very smoothly. I had two Illume Solar Skylights installed in some very dim, windowless areas of my home. One at the intersection of my hallways was straight forward and looks and performs exactly as was described to me. The other was to replace an old shaft skylight I had in my office that let in far too much heat (and the occasional bee) in the summer months. I took the opportunity to have the external part of the skylight filled when a recent roof renovation was done but this left me with a dark office and the inside part of the skylight still in my ceiling (which was rendered useless by the tiling over of the outside part).

The solution was to have the best of both worlds with the solar skylight replacing the old skylight. The old skylight was an odd size and in an awkward position next to my ceiling fan so I couldn't really go a size bigger (700mm x 700mm also would've been overkill for the size room). The guys at Woodroffe had an extra aluminium frame made up, delivered, and installed on the day with a minimum amount of fuss (about an hour) that solved the problem. While it's not quite as nice to look at as the passage one (that sits very flush), it did save me having to get a plasterer in to fill the gaps so it was very acceptable way to get around the problem. This is the one in my attached picture.

I now have a well lit hallway and office.... and now without the heat. Great Job!
