Having recently decided to replace old style combined light/fan fittings with a combination of LED downlights and fan only units, I had two 2 54" Mercator smart Grange fans installed. doing, I immediately looked to see what plastic units Mercator offered and came across the Mercator Ikuu 52" Smart WiFi Anova unit.

Lighting Illusions was the only place that had a qty of 7 available at the time I was looking to purchase and had the best pricing on offer across all retailers at the time so I went ahead with the purchase with them.

There was an initial small delay hiccup being that, when my order arrived, 3 units were damaged and so I had to wait a week or so for new units to arrive in but I dont expect that would usually apply as my order was placed during the 2025 black friday sale period and the store was overwhelmed with demand which affected typical stock availability to be able to cover this kind of event.

Also, it is when things go wrong that you get to find out just how customer service orientated a shop actually is by their response and I was impressed with the response from Lighting Illusions being an immediate offer to credit me in full if I wished to cancel the order as I had scheduled an install date.

Given the price I had got the units for and the fact that the install was for 4 units (which arrived in good condition) I decided to take the 4 and wait for the balance and am extremely happy that I did as the plastic Smart WiFi Anova units are brilliant .... plastic blades mean a lighter unit which puts less weight on the motor making it more energy efficient and these units are also very quite which makes them fine for bedrooms.

They are also units which work via remote control and / wi-fi, meaning that you should be able to operate them by voice, if connected to amazon Alexa devices like the echo show, which I already now use to control most of the new (wifi) downlights in the house, meaning, once set up, I will not need to use wall switches to operate lights or fans.

Lastly, 5 stars for the customer service attitude of the ladies that work at reception. When I went to collect the 3 replacement units I was asked to take a seat by the staff member who assisted me and took it upon herself to go out to the warehouse and find the units herself so that when I took my car to the whse I did not have to wait for the stock to be brought out to me.

I would happily look to this store for any future needs

Unpleasant experience and out of pocket electrical costs – We had bought a Wave light and during installation the light was found to be faulty. We contacted Lighting Illusion and got their sales rep to contact our electrician. Our electrician spoke to the sales rep and still couldn't get the light going. We went into the store and asked if the sales rep could visit and rectify the situation but as usual… Read more

no response from the sales rep. We finally had to uninstall the light and take it back Lighting Illusions for a refund. We got a refund on the light but in the process were out of pocket around $600. I did explain to the branch about this and they asked me to forward the invoice to them to see if they can reimburse the charges incurred due to faulty light. I have now received an email 2 weeks later advising that they have now sub sequentially tested the light and found out that there is no problem with it. I have disputed this claim as it shouldn't take 2 weeks to test a light in store and testing was not done in my presence hence the test holds no credibility. Also I mentioned that while doing subsequent tests, parameters could have been changed or altered to achieve the conclusion. I sent emails letting them know of my disappointment in the process and and unpleasant experience. I also advised that I would be taking this matter further.

Enters, Branch Manager [Name Removed] in the picture at the last process now and at no point in time tried to resolve an issue but instead just shifted blame. Also wrote he will be happy to provide information to ACCC. Just by judging the comments of the Branch Manager speaks volumes about the arrogance and after sales service by Lighting Illusions. We had spent close to $2000 at their store but will not be going anywhere near their store anymore. The matter is with ACCC now. It s really sad that this avenue had to be explored.

Customer service and products are excellent – We are first time home buyer, everything was new and excited on our part, building a new house is really stressful like selecting the best thing to put in your house. Illusions McGregor.... We are really surprised and amazed of the customer service that we received the first time we walked in ILLUSION LIGHTNING McGregor . We are welcomed by LEANNE HAWKINS who is very knowledge , supportive, very professional in dealing our queries, very helpful in all ways . After the first meeting, we decided to buy all our stuff in Lightning Illusion McGregor . From pendant lights, wall lights, chandelier , ceiling fans and everything we need, we bought in Lightning illusions McGregor . We are really happy the products, the have a good quality and of course the good team of the store Friends who visited our new place, they liked our stuffs from Lightning Illusion. We gain a good product and also gain a GOOD FRIENDSHIP with the team.

I had purchased a few products, which I am extremely happy with, but had ordered one item incorrectly. I ordered two of the same items and only one item arrived initially with no note or anything saying the other item was coming or delayed. So after a phone call I confirmed yes the other item was delayed due to stock levels but is definitely coming. So instead of me having to make a phone call why not just let me know that either via email or note. Show details ·  1

Ordered 4 Martec Hampton 52 inch smart fans and although we knew they were out of stock, they in fact arrived far earlier than expected. We had them installed today and they are awesome. They give excellent airflow and they were simple to connect to Smart Life app and then Alexa. We can operate them with either remote or verbally thru Alexa. I researched online and purchased 2 Hunter Pacific DC ceiling fans from Lighting Illusions because they are a local company and were the best price at the time.The fans were well packaged for protection so they arrived in perfect condition.I ordered on a Saturday and delivery was Tuesday.Overall good experience dealing with Lighting Illusions. Show details ·  1
