I am extremely disappointed with the way I was treated by World 4 Pets at Vineyard. My mini poodle has suffered a serious back injury and may sadly have to be euthanised, so this has already been an incredibly emotional and stressful time for my family. Last Sunday I purchased a belly band from the store and specifically asked before paying whether I could return it if it stayed unopened. I believed I was told yes, which is why I later went back and purchased two more.
Today, after my dog’s condition became worse, I decided to return one unopened belly band. My husband was only offered a store credit, which is no use to us given we may never need these products again.
What upset me the most was the way the situation was handled. When I called the store to explain our circumstances and speak with the manager, I felt completely dismissed and the call ended abruptly while I was still trying to explain the situation.
I later checked the receipt and saw the policy states “exchange or store credit only with receipt within 14 days” and “no refund if you change your mind or for incorrect choice.” I understand businesses have policies, but considering the item was unopened and the heartbreaking circumstances involving our dog, I expected a lot more compassion and professionalism.
Very upsetting experience and very disappointing customer service.
