Stopped working after hardly being used – Purchased 2 soundbars, a Yamaha and a Phillips. Phillips used every day still going strong. Yamaha in the "good room" stopped working after very little use. When I say stopped working, I mean completely. Won't turn on. Both sounded good. Difference being Phillips still going. If we had been flogging it would be still be disappointed, but as I said after only a few hours of operation. Very disappointed.

Discountinued Product but if you can find one AMAZING Value – I purchased this to replace TV sound and for bluetooth use for quick daily listens. It has provided greatly satisfying sound for such a small unit. When I compare to floor standing speakers it's bottom compares favourably, top end not as clear but the floor speakers are 3 way and cost 3 times as much. Stereo imaging is also great. One of the greatest features is the capability of switching the unit on via bluetooth and off when disconnecting from bluetooth. I use this daily in the morning for quick listens and i don't have to find the big stereo remote, all done from the phone that I stream from. AWESOME!!!

spot on to complete the 'tele' of TV now a days! – TVs now a days focus a lot on the visual part of a 'tele-vision', and they all did very good job in that, and let the user go and figure out the 'tele' part of the equation. This model, from Yamaha, completes the equation, integrated very well into my LCD TV, be it feature, sound quality, control, or even price. If I want to spend 500 bucks boosting audio quality, that will be a stereo, or a home theater system, and that is clumsy.

Therefore, at around $270, yamaha 103 fits in well.

Yes, there is no tweeter built-in. But, I do not think I need a lot of high pitch at 12kHz and above like what Samsung or LG is offering on their silver-clad tinny slender sound bar with thin sound (yes, they do offer a separate subW).

There were time that I worry about its height would block the TV screen, but I was wrong, it fits my 42" screen well in terms of height and length (if your TV is longer than that, I would recommend another model, not sure which one, but it is longer to match).

Yes, it is blocking my TV IR receiver, but this is not a problem at all, its well taken care off.

Sitting on my sofa facing the tv-soundbar combination, it is also pleasant to the eyes, clean, simple, elegant, classic, low profile, subtle, as it knows its physics should not be the point of attraction too much.

Delighted! Should have bought one sooner! – Our flat screen TV, like most, has pretty average sound. Yes, I can run my full amplifier sound system for better sound, but for daily television watching, that is messy and really chews power. I'd been thinking of a sound bar for some time, and was narrowing the choice to either the Yamaha YAS-93 or Yamaha YAS-103 (exactly the same, but adds Bluetooth functionality to stream music from your iPhone or iPad etc.)

I finally decided on the YAS 103 Model for Bluetooth functionality, and ordered it on line from oo.com.au. Great service, it was delivered in three days.

Setting it up was a breeze- only downside being that my five year old TV had only "RCA" analog sound output, not coax digital or optical (all of which the Yamaha has).

No problem, the analog output is fine, and both Bluetooth sound from my iPhone or iPad and sound from the TV sound is great. The TV sound is very dramatically better, absolutely delighted with the results.

Setup is easy, you can pair up to eight Bluetooth devices! There is also a free app to allow full control of the sound bar from phone or iPad, though no real need to be quite honest. (However it works just fine.)

There is a very handy "learning function", so the sound bar will learn your TV remote codes, and even a repeater built in if it blocks the IR signal to your TV.

I will still run my full surround Amp when watching a Blueray movie, but for everything else, the sound bar is brilliant. Five out of Five stars, no hesitation.
