busy like all gyms for the afterwork crowd. We recommend 10-11 am as a quieter time in every zap we have been to over the years.
Very disappointing experience – not recommended. They seem great when you're signing up, Long term membership offer included So called "ANY TIME CANCEL" after 1 year BUT the day you decide to cancel the membership, very unfortunate that you still have to pay 4 more weeks before cancellation. So much Jargon use on advertisement , so be careful before joining.
Very disappointing experience with Zap Fitness. I had a 12-month membership at Rosny, Hobart but had to move to Tweed Heads NSW where there is no Zap nearby. They still charged me the full remaining amount plus extra company fees instead of helping with a genuine relocation case. Staff were rude and unhelpful during communication. No understanding or flexibility at all. I do not recommend at all.

The worst customer service – They have an exposed panel that covers the cables near the rowing machines in St Kilda Zap on Market Street. My foot got stuck and I tripped over the railing. I was with this gym for 8 years and never cancelled my membership until now!! And this is how they look after there long term members. Don't even bother with this gym.
Poor local gym management - Glenelg SA – Only 2 sanitising towel wipe bins in gym and 1 or both are generally empty consequently equipment can not be cleaned by any user . Poor equipment maintenance . Airconditioning not working correctly from last Friday to today (Monday) . See pic .
Worst Cancellation process – I've been member for long time in SA, due to Covid-19, me and my husband decided to cancel our membership. They said I have to give 14 days notice which was not possible (no way to contact them) after insisted many times, it was possible mine but my husband's membership still waiting for a refund. It's been nearly a month and keep giving me excuses and no specific time for the payment to be processed. Terrible customer service.

Great gym and I'm sorry to leave – I've had none of the problems others have had here with Zap, have been going to the Carlton and Balaclava gyms, equipment is good and the gyms are clean and well maintained. Have never been overcharged or had any issues with payments. I have just cancelled as I'm leaving Australia, got through on the phone in 2 minutes at my first attempt, talked to a pleasant and helpful man and it was all done in less than 5 minutes.
Pretty good gym – Have been member for 3 years, had my wife and son on memberships they have quit and rejoined several times. I questioned their billing a few times and they explained it and it does make sense. Staffed hours sometimes are not accurate. Web site could be a lot better. Gear and folks i attend with are fine. Great gym! – Great gym! No problems at Richmond, no monies came out during COVID-19, we trained basically for free. Friendly staff, and gym has adequate equipment. Overall we are happy with current arrangements.

Don't be fooled by the monthly membership. Random un explained charges, changing amounts and charges dates, faulty cancellation portal that doesnt log your attempts. Also dont be fooled by the pause membership option the advertise, they charge you upfront each week you pause it.
I asked to pay the full amount required to cancel , in one single payment to stop all future charges, and was unable to do so. Extremely rude staff will be little you and take zero responsibility in emails. They charge you quarterly account fees on a 4 week contract, along with $10 late fees even though their payment portal does not allow you to make any further payments. they add another late fee on and extend your cancellation date, essentially holding you and your money hostage. While they threaten to ruin your credit rating if you dont comply.
1.5 months later and I am still send screenshots and requesting breakdowns of charges, with them still attempting to charge my card random amounts I did not sign up for. I have paid well over a months worth of notice to them and still see no progress in cancellation.
Not to mention after I first joined, their system was faulty and my access wouldnt work - Despite the manager seeing i had paid the joining fee and membership rate in advance, they sent me home, making me wait 2 days before being able to access the gym simply because of their own lack of functionality.
Absolutely stay away from this gym, they take no responsibility for anything and are money hungry bullies.
My son got trapped in a contract he signed at age 17. The 18 month contract he signed as a minor had one tiny line saying that it was 'an ongoing contact' which meant that at the end of the 18 month contract they continued to debit membership without informing him. Abusive, not transparent and with no duty of care for their clients

I’m not happy with this gym and with its predatory contracts designed to trap people and rip them off. Equipment is average and I have had issues with payment and overcharging. I do not recommend.
In my opinion, this is such a scam business. I have served my contract with them for 12 months and I was paying month by month afterwards (flexible). They informed me that they would cancel my membership if I didn't re-contract a plan. This is financial harassment. I told them to cancel my account in Doreen. Please, look for business that take customers more seriously. My pain, their loss.
I had to move locations due to my rental agreement. They don’t have a location within 30 minutes of my new rental and now they’re still going to make me pay the cancellation fee even though it’s not my problem they only have a few locations around Perth. No wonder they are all closing down. Unfair, old smelly equipment. Do not recommend at all

was the same stuff repeated for six weeks straight. Was also promised marketing assistance too which I never received. Instead tried to palm me off to another company that helps with marketing stuff, simply because the management at zap cannot deliver on simple promises. Along with this carries an extremely expensive rent that is way more expensive than any other gym I have worked at. Do not recommend any trainer to work with this company. Some of the worst management you will ever encounter. They are nothing but money hungry who use up and coming trainers to their advantage to make money. The only positive management is the MSR's at each gym. The two I worked with were amazing and both thought the exact same thing I have said in this review regarding how I was treated and the lack of help and support I received from PT management.

Do not sign a contract with Zap Fitness! I transferred a 35-week membership, clearly stated in writing, but they charged me for an extra month without my consent. I was never told I needed to give notice to cancel a fixed-term contract. Their communication is poor, unprofessional and the way they trap members into extra payments is completely unfair. So many hidden things in there contract to trap you. Stay away!
This gym is an absolute scam when it comes to memberships. They make it nearly impossible to cancel, constantly charging you even after you follow their cancellation process. On top of that, they sneak in hidden fees that were never mentioned when signing up.
Awful. Dishonest amd only interested in money. Avoid at all costs. I work abroad so I wanted to join for a month. The sales girl said that was fine. They continued to hound me for money and were very difficult to contact to cancel. Surprised they are still in business to be honest. Deplorable!
Do not join! The equipment is sub standard . I joined for 1 month only, I have attempted to call, email to stop the automatic debit from my account. They do not respond and just keep taking your money months after you have left. They stone wall you and they ignore your request that you want out! Very poor behaviour, do not join!

My home gym used to be a Jetts then got taken over by Zapp. Seemed to get worse, then tried to cancel my membership - was assured it was cancelled, but the fees keep coming. Keep getting told I will get a refund within 30 business days - but more charges are added and told if i cancel the auto payment or card they will stop the cancellation and continue to charge me and raise it as a debt. It feels like a scam—taking money unfairly and refusing to acknowledge updates. The staff is unhelpful and unwilling to resolve issues. This chain of fitness centers is nothing but a money trap. Stay away and be vigilant before signing up!

Not bad value – It's the equipment,some more than others,toilets are hit and miss for cleanliness,but ya can get fit, depends which one you go to, few strange ones that stare,but just don't make eye contact,but all in all there not to bad,Peak hour is off its head,so early morning if ya can is better
Scam company. Avoid – Definite scam charges. Instantly charge an additional $10 charge if your payment bounces even just the once. Won't accept cancellation if a payment is outstanding. No staff. Runs all their accounting through a suss third party company. Keep charging after cancelling for at least a month and will refuse to stop. If you're unhappy with them they'll f*** you raw.
Direct Debit Scam – Williams Landing - Zap Fitness Worst ever gym in my 25 years using Gyms in different countries.. - Lost Credit Card just before the direct debit due date and they charged extra $10 for missing 2 days - Their direct debit company uses threating word for payment collection - Always having machines out of service - Most of users do not wipe machines after use
