Grand turbo Grand steaks – Purchase the grand turbo back in 2016 and at the time a big spend but was over having to replace a BBQ every three to four years. So here we are 9 years later and have to replace two burner holders. Everything else is as good as it was back in 2016. This BBQ has cooked hundreds of steaks and turned ordinary supermarket steaks into tender and tasty… Read more
dinners. As with flare ups never an issue unless I go the cheap supermarket sausages. I also went with the side burner and use it as a wok cooker due to the high heat. Looking forward to the new model so I can hand this one down
Significant Design Flaw at Owner's Expense – The look is great, the stainless steel strong, the gas jets work, the only problem is the glass or crystal domes that fit over the burners fail over time. By fail, I meant they literally heat and reheat so often that they eventually fracture and become useless. Bad enough that you have to replace them or render the burner worthless, but how… Read more
about all 4 failing within weeks of each other. And bad enough that you have to replace 4 but the price to do so is equal to the cost of replacing the grill. Warranty is a joke. And this is clearly a manufacturer's design flaw. I will never buy a Ziegler and Brown product again.
Hard to cook on and very hard to clean – I bought the Ziegler & Brown Grand Turbo bbq after seeing it in store, many discussions in store but most importantly watching the online video's of to use and how easy it was to keep clean. Very dissapointed, near constant flare ups when cooking almost anything, always have to drop the temp to low or there is flames everywhere! The quartz domes… Read more
hold onto the juices dropping on to them, then catch oil and then comes the flames.
As for cleaning, it's a nightmare, nothing like the video's, I burn them on high after cooking, scrape down and then it all falls onto the domes, of course. So I burn them on high for longer and then let cool. The stuff is stuck on hard, forget the "wipe with a microfibre cloth", you will need steel wool. And that only gets off the stuff on the top of the domes, at the bottom where they rest on the holders it's thick and permanently black. The grills and hotplates are easy to clean, the inside of the cook box is not, was once stainless steel now is mostly brown cooked on splatter.
What a mistake buying this BBQ, should have forgot about the new tech and stuck with Weber.
Defected burner - low quality stainless steel - 8 months waiting for a solution and meanwhile I can’t use it at all – Came Defected burner make sit unsafe to use - low quality stainless steel - over 6 months to have solution which might be available for me in another 2 months . Terrible terrible product - almost $6k wasted and really not sure what to do from here Show details
Faulty and BBQ Galore support non existant – Bought two (4 burner and 6 burner) from the Richmond BBQs Galore store in Victoria for new house. BBQ works but the back plate burner does not since first time I used it. Spoke to lady at the store, got a terrible response from have you got wasps nest?, try blowing through the pipe to try a feather duster. Are they for real? After we've had our… Read more
plumber at our expense try everything. The spark is sparking beautifully, but the gas just wont light the thing is faulty and the consolation they offered a number of a man to come and look at it, at our expense after I have already paid for a plumber to go over it.
The BBQ cooks well, but the plate is iron cast and rusts easily so be careful. Pretty disappointing for a $4000 and $5500 purchase.

Don’t buy one – Burners rusted out even with bbq undercover. Bbq galour said design fault but still have to pay 200 each burner. Bbq is just in 3 years. Light cover lasted 1 month Product / customer service - back up is woeful Show details
Glass dome explodes – After a thorough clean of the inside of the grand turbo BBQ I started to replace the glass domes over the burners. Unfortunately one of the domes fell off the top of the fridge and dropped between the fridge and blind. When it hit the ground there was an all mighty explosive like a bomb had gone off shattering the dome to splinters. If this had… Read more
dropped in front of me I would be wearing some serious injuries. There is no warning that this could happen. Not sure if I want to keep this now has the Domes cost $189 ea.
Great BBQ – We reluctantly replaced our old BBQ to make way for the Ziggy Grand Turbo built-in, we were hesitant at first after reading some average reviews on some of the other models however ultimately getting the new BBQ turned out the be a great decision! We bought the Grand Turbo (built-in) and converted to natural gas. One of the big selling points of… Read more
this bbq is the radiant quartz and burners which are essentially quartz domes covering a gas heating element aimed at more even heat dispersion. The setup was different to what we were used to with our old BBQ but ultimately hard to tell the difference (in my opinion). The BBQ gets super hot in no time, rarely get flare-ups and is very easy to clean, and most importantly the food tastes great.
To be honest It's hard to flaw this BBQ. Overall a great purchase.
Great bbq but lacks some basic rigidity to support its own weight – BBQ generally cooks very nice. Only downside is the the base rigidity and quality of the welds. Seem if the floor is not perfectly flat the whole setup lid and doors become missaligned. The welds are at a quality where they seem to be done by an apprentice but charged at a premium. Welds have some small holes which I would suspect to leak grease… Read more
at some point and make it hard to clean. Additional note after using the side burner, the gas control for turn down to simmer is non existant so fine controlled cooking is essentially not possible. Considering the price paid we should be getting all the bells and whistles which we didn’t get. Dropping down to 2 stars for that.
Awesome BBQ – Very easy to operate BBQ. Easy to clean as well. Takes very little time to keep it clean. The shelves are easy to remove and wash up . The outside is easy to clean. It is an attractive looking BBQ. The size is good doesn't take up too much space . Easy to maneuver around the back yard Put this BBQ together after buying it from BBQ Galore. Very… Read more
easy to assemble. Love how it cooks fish, veggies, corn on the cob . Cooks meat evenly, love cooking roasts in this BBQ.
We love our BBQ – After having the salesman at Barbeques Galore talk us through the different options of 4 burner BBQ's and tasting some meat which had been cooked earlier - we were sold. We checked out so many other options trying to find something as perfect but at a lower price and nothing came close. We decided that given the amount of time we would use it… Read more
(and our guests staying at our holiday house) that it was wroth investing in the best quality. We have it connected to town gas and it works well. The meat cooks perfectly and the heat is even and remains hot. It is easy to clean and feels really sturdy. If you are going to use it a lot - would recommend spending the money.
