Recommend without hesitation. Zlights we’re great to deal with – I ordered a lovely set of pendants plus some other items. The delivery was prompt, the product was sturdy and beautifully designed. I’m very satisfied with the company and will continue to order from them.
Absolutely UNRELIABLE company – I regret one couldn’t give 0 star. Or -5 stars. Because this is how I rate my shopping experience with Zlights. being deceived in terms of the production and shipment status, - you’re ready to pay 2,5x more at the customs because Zlights issued a wrong invoice. - Oh, I forgot: and unless you are OK with shipping the order to the wrong address.

Order placed on Jun 14th, today is Nov 14th. 5 months passed, and I still don’t have my lamps. This is the short story of my order. Jun 14th Invoice paid Aug 9th My email inquiring about the order status. Response from Zlights: “we're currently still on track for the lead time of 10-14 weeks. The delivery is estimated to arrive late September, if not earlier.” This was the last time I got a message from a person signed with the name; this girl doesn’t work there anymore. Oct 1st My email inquiring about the order status; Sep had passed, after all. Oct 4th My another email with the same inquiry Oct 4th Finally the response from an anonymous Zlights’ employee : “we are expecting stock to be ready to ship on the 3rd week of this month as production has finally finished.” Oct 5th My email expressing my total disbelief: but the products were supposed to SHIPPED in Sep?! Oct 5th Response from an anonymous Zlights’ employee. “Production was finished quite some time ago, custom made products have to go through testing and compliance, which is standard here. I can understand that updates over the last 15 weeks have not been up to standard, as we are a small family run business”. They also claimed that processing my order takes so long because I’m from Europe, and they’re located in Australia. Really? But the shipment is by plane. I could add an extra week for that. In the end they inform me: “I can expect your order to be delivered by the end of this month, the latest would be the first week of the following month”. Oct 5th My response, in which I inform them that in the meantime I’ve moved to the new house, and they need to update the shipment address. I wrote “IMPORTANT” to make it more noticeable. Nov 1st Products still not shipped, another message from an anonymous person: “Just wanted to let you know that your order will be due to ship out in the net week to 10 days, our sales team is waiting for production to confirm”. WHAT?! So is it produced or not? It was supposed to be delivered by Nov! Nov 2nd My email expressing my anger and disappointment. Nov 2nd Response from an anonymous person “When it comes to manufacturing, there are multiple processes that are involved, fabrication of the metal, powder coating, electrical fitout, testing and packaging. This being the case for long lead-times on made to order items, our focus is to provide high quality items, it's fair to say that you wouldn't want this rushed? Our production and office are in separate locations, so we rely on the team to update us, so my apologies for any confusion on your end. Some of the required finishing components (LED's) are imported to us internationally, so delays can happen at customs, while we need to wait for clearance.” Nov 2nd I wrote: “If I don’t get a confirmation of shipment till the 15th Nov, I’ll cancel the order.” Nov 7th Order SHIPPED. But… First I discovered it was shipped to the old address. The wrong one. I’ve corrected it on the DHL site. Today I received the inquiry from the customs to pay the VAT based on the order invoice. And guess what? The invoice IS WRONG! My total order was 1884,80 AUD. And Zlights made it 4142,38 AUD!!! TWO lamps after the discount cost 1694,80 AUD. Someone DOUBLED it again in the commercial invoice. Ant the shipping cost. I paid 190 AUD. While they put 752,78 AUD. As a result, I’m expected to pay 2,5x higher VAT than I should. Of course, I’ve got no intention to do that. I’m waiting for the response from another anonymous client service employee. And the correct invoice. Regretting in the meantime every minute of my life wasted on this purchase. I wonder what would be the quality of the products. I’ll share my opinion provided I get them…
Surprised how easy the design process was and how well the design came together – It was fantastic to talk through lighting ideas with zlights, they provided an immense wealth of knowledge with so many on point ideas and suggestions, we now have design concept that will take our project to the next level.
Shipped to NZ – I ordered a pendant light from Jason, great communication, the light arrived undamaged and it was exactly as it was in the photos. The light arrived within a week. I can recommend Zlights without hesistation.
