Purchase from hell – I’ve had this product for nearly a year now and half of the time it sat broken and I’m going to Fairtrading to get my money back!. Background- got this supply & instal via my pool builder. The unit snapped off the wall shortly after install. For months both supplier and Installer blamed each other until I threatened legal action. I’ve tried… Read more

everything under the sun, this unit has never done a full cycle without human intervention to untangle the cord etc! Yes I’ve read and done everything under the sun. Not forgetting the replacement parts for broken nets on the bag etc. Please do not buy!

The best pool cleaner there is – We bought our house 10 years ago and it came with the Polaris 360 pool cleaner. The Polaris does a great job and is superior to many other cleaners because it does not impact operation of the pool skimmer box. The Polaris is engineered really well with an ingenious design although it does require minor upkeep. It only uses one type of screw, and… Read more

all parts are replaceable. Parts are expensive in Australia but much cheaper from USA. The 360 lasts about 7 years before I had to replace the whole unit for about $650 from USA. I kept the old one for parts and I expect to get 7 years out of the 2nd one too. It cleans up leaves from the bottom of the pool really well with good coverage once it is "tuned" to work properly. As a bonus the white hose floating across the top of the pool deters ducks completely so zero duck mess. It also makes no audible noise unlike some other pool cleaners. Highly recommend.

Best cleaner for collecting large leaves but ridiculously expensive parts – I have had 2 Polaris 360's in seven years as I found them to be the best cleaner by a long shot for collecting large leaves. I agree wholeheartedly with other reviews. Ongoing frustrations with set up to get working properly despite trying everything in the manual. Parts regularly need replacing - hose sections split after less than one year… Read more

($30.00 for a 2m piece of thin rubbish), bags last 1-1.5 years at $70.00 each. After 3 years the PVC section where the hose connects to the body completely snapped rendering the whole unit useless. After paying over $1,000.00 I expected more. Great cleaner but Polaris have to improve the quality of materials used.

Once you buy they rip you off regularly – This gets one star because its stupidly expensive to run. It does and OK job, fiddley & annoying to setup but once it is it works OK. However things that live in pools require parts, water cracks plastic, belts break, nets break so your going to have a long term relationship with the company that supplies you. This is where Polaris take full… Read more

advantage, my local pool shop described them today as "relentless" around the pricing of parts. Today cost me $60 for a belt (general consumable to make the wheels turn) for $60. In the past 3 months I've spent around $150 on parts (just three of them) for this Polaris.

I will NEVER buy another one again & I would also suggest you do the same.

Fiddly – Does clean quite well, but fiddly to get working properly. I spent quite a few days adjusting to get it going round the pool properly and I still don't think its right. This cleaner is in my parents pool however I think they should've gone with robotic. Those things you just chuck in the pool and switch on. Picks up big leaves and debris Not easy to set up

Works well but won't last – Picks up all debris, but after 18 months the hoses started to split. Not just one but all of them, Obviously it's only meant to last just to the warranty expires. It is expensive and expensive to replace the parts. I don't know why i have to add more i have said it all. Picks up everything. Pool looked great when working Expensive and dosn't last

Reliable but expensive and complicated – Works extremely well and lasts well but a very complicated design. Has a total of SIX gearboxes, all of which are subject to wear and will require replacing, usually after about 3 years. Cleans well and covers pools much better than most diaphragm type cleaners but replacing worn gears and tires is expensive. Filter bags require replacing about… Read more

every year to year and a half at $70ish each.

As with all turbine type cleaners, it works better than diaphragm types but at a price. reliable, very effective extremely expensive, complicated
