Polaris ATV

Expensive, works only intermittently, complicated and costly to repair – Installed cost $850; broke down several times while under warranty and had rebuild; temperamental, works only at intervals, easily clogged, very complex set of gears which wear out and cost a lot to replace. Recently spent $69 for 3 new tyres, $51 for new drive belts; still refuses to move. I don't want to throw good money after bad so will try to find a cheap, simple product that will clean the pool without having a nervous breakdown.

Doesn't last, and ridiculously expensive – Rarely seen, for a reason. The list price is $1200, enough for nearly 3 far longer lived Aquasphere cleaners, that cost simply cannot be justified when most of these cleaners need repairs after less than 2 years. Good cleaner, but doesn't last long – Very quiet, very efficient cleaner, however the gears inside don't last. In 4 years we have had it repaired 3 times, first time under warranty, after than $200+ a time & customer service is poor - Zodiac just tell you to contact a local dealer to arrange repair!! Very poorly made pool cleaner – I have a pool that had a Polaris Zodiac ATV installed. Just after the warraty ran out ( 1 year)it decided to stop working. The cost to fix was more than a new one so I bought a new one. I do not have any leaves so it was not working hard. Guess what, the new one stopped working after just a year also. I have now had to buy a different make.

Never again Mr. Zodiac. It did not make the suction noise that other make do. Poorly made with parts that have no longevity and Zodiac do not have any customer service.

Good – Excellent coverage and reasonable ability to pick up problem gum leaves, occasionally needs clearing by hand. My pool water is balanced properly by my pool shop so the cleaner doesn't deteriorate excessively. Excellent even coverage, fast moving and silent Initial issue with reverse gear mechanism repaired under warranty a few times until a the factory redesigned this mechanism, been great ever since.
