Kreepy Krauly VTX-7

I have owned a Kreepy Krauly for over 30 years. In September 2023 my old Kreepy Krauly had reached the end of its life. After looking at what was available, I chose to replace my existing Kreepy Krauly with a new Kreepy Krauly VTX-7. Simplicity of design, high quality Australian manufactured components, minimal moving parts and the availability of those parts adds up to why I purchased another Kreepy Krauly, and I installed it myself. I have a number of trees around the pool and leaves large and small as well as dust and dirt are constantly dropping into the pool, but my new Kreepy Krauly VTX-7 picks them up and has performed up to the standard I expected.

Where to start with this product. We have a rectangular pool about 8m in length which this cleaner only achieved about 5m nearest to the skimmer box being cleaned. Frequently clogged on gum leaves. It would constantly hang up in rounded corners. Tried countless iterations of weight balancing, hose length, pump RPM, hose straightening, hose twisting to no avail. Pool Shop refused replacement because it was used and Kreepy Krauly (Autopools) offer no support either, all responsibility for refunds and warranty is passed onto the poor old pool shop

Hands down the worst we’ve ever had. Would have been better sticking with the Bunnings special for less than half the price.

don’t buy this junk. After going back and forth with the pool shop for a month we’ve told them enough take it back. It doesn’t work at all as advertised. It’s super expensive and for the price it should handle moving around a pool ok including when the cover is on like the super cheap Bunnings ones. So underwhelmed. I’d never buy this brand again and I certainly don’t recommend to anyone.

This is the worst pool cleaner imaginable. I've had 3 other pool cleaners ( 2 crawlers and a robot), all had some small faults, but generally worked their way around my pool and cleaned up everything (have a fair bit of leaf litter). I have a rectangular concrete pool that is only 9 meters long - pretty standard shape and depth.
This cleaner gets stuck in odd places, jams up with and without leaves in the throat and does not get around the whole pool.
I've left the hoses in the sun to loosen up the kinks, changed the weights around, put more hose, then less, then more again. All to no avail.
I don't usually like to bag products, but this is just so poor its unbelievable.
Don't waste your time or money.
$800 bucks down the drain.

Our old Kreepy was 13 years old and finally retired itself. After some adjusting our new Kreepy is just as thorough as our old. I cant imagine having a pool without a Kreepy Krauly in it.

Got the VTX7 a couple of years ago for our pebblecrete pool. Contacted KK out of warranty with a concern. There was no fault with the product, but with our installation, which was quickly and happily rectified. The pool has never looked better. It deals with the many leaves etc. from surrounding gum trees very easily. The after sales service (even out of warranty in our case) is brilliant. Look no further if you want a high standard Australian made pool cleaner, with incredible after sales service.

I have only owned for a few weeks but this pool cleaner is fantastic. We just bought a house with a pool and wanted a great automatic cleaner to keep the pool always looking good that we could just set and forget. Having to take a robot in and out all the time didn't appeal to us and we wanted the pool looking spotless all the time which would have meant we would have been putting a robot in and out all the time. Originally we wanted the RX Tank but as our pool has curved bottoms and corners and is fully tiled, while it was great on the floors

Excellent product! Its simply the classic ol reliable pool cleaner! Its a solid performer and would highly recommend!
We've had it for over 12 months now and its still running as strong as day one. It's been able to pick up all types of debris and its easy to remove from the pool when friends come over.

We use a Kreepy Krauly. It does a great job cleaning out the pine needles, lili pilli berries and gum leaves from our neighbour's trees. This is our second Kreepy Krauly (after 30 years) and the new VTX7 seems to pick up larger leaves than our original.
It works well, saves a lot of time and was a good buy.

Leaves, dirt, tree seeds and anything else that blows in when it is windy. When swimming the Kreepy is happy to share the pool and continues to clean around you.

Having a Pool for over 30 years and tried many pool cleaners, the Kreepy Krauly VTX-7 has surpassed all others with its suction an balance ... clean pool!!..Happy family!! . 12 months now and would not change a thing.

We've had a Kreepy Krauly cleaning our pool since 1984, they just get better and better over the years and the VTX-7 is amazing as the leaves fall, Kreepy picks them up, our pool is always spotless... Love it, more time for Family...
