process felt rigid, dismissive, and designed to avoid paying legitimate claims. I would not buy this coverage again.
Took out Travel Insurance on basis that Zurich Insurance advertised itself as being for a traveller, I took out policy paid premium. and this was accepted by Zurich, when they found out the cost they then said it was not covered, this was complete nonsense. Zurich have a policy of not paying out on Travel Insurance but rather waiting for people to go through the complaints process, knowing they won’t do so.
I took out a travel insurance policy in good faith, I was forced to cancel my holiday due to serious illness, I made a claim on my policy and Zurich Insurance refused to pay. I was definitely covered I understand Zurich do this on a regular basis, do not take out insurance with them. Show details

damaged to the point of needing to buy a new luggage.
2. New iphone was stolen and she had to buy a new one
3. I fell in italy and fractured left shoulder. We had to cancel our cruise & return flight, purchase new flight to return to ca for urgent medical care.
I contacted them as soon as I was physically able to (my shoulder was in excruciating pain, extremely difficult to type email using 1 finger of 1 hand and provide summary of events that occurred).
Communication timeline w zurich: June 26,2024- I received 5 claims to complete and submit with documents. The email stated "Once submitted, please allow 7 to 10 business days for the processing of your claim."
July 2- I submitted all claims with 25+ different documents/medical reports/eob/receipts/expense sheets//itineraries for flights and cruise .
July 17 (I waited past 10 business days)- I called and was told to wait until july 23 for the claims to be finalized.
July 23- I called again and was told all claims will be finalized by end of the month- july 31. I was specifically told that claims dept wants to finalized all claims by the end of the month (july).
August 2- I called & again, new date to finalize august 14.
August 2 in the evening- I received an email requesting docs that they already had. I resubmitted what they wanted again.
All I've received from them past 2 months is delay tactics,lies, lies, lies and more lies!!!! They owe us over $20,000, how can they still be in business??
Really Bad!! – Never ever go with them. My luggage has been lost since 6th of October. I Could not claim for Travel Insurance after providing lost report form and Bank statement as dont have RECEIPTS. The agreement does not says anything about receipts but only DOCUMENTS.. Way too quick to claim pre-existing condition. Coprorate Travel Policy. Are any employees travellng – We have a Zurich Corporate Travel Policy - supposedly one of the better travel insurances for companies. hours the claim was rejected because Zurich say that the condition was pre-existing because our MD mentioned that some time in the past she had had back pain before. The policty does not exclude pre-existing conditions. How can any employer rely on a Corporate Travel Policy that will exclude an employees pre-existing conditions anyway? Does this mean that no employee is really covered properly by ZURICH Travel Insurance? Does this mean you have to vet every employee for every condition before you let them travel - otherwise they aren't covered?
Thankfully quick treatment and pain medication got the problem under control so that she was able to fly home

A bunch of Rip Offs ! No wonder Commonwealth Bank got rid of them !!! – It has been almost a year, since my claim and still nothing. given my documentation and proof to Zurich Insurance now already 3 times but still they just keep going around in circles and avoiding payout no wonder Commonwealth Bank got rid of them!!!
They a bunch of rip offs and should not be allowed to operate in Australia!
The worst ever- Please Beware – It has been almost 2 years now, since my claim and still nothing. Nobody will talk to me, FOS is having difficulty communicating with them. They are just a scam and use blatant bullying and illegal methods to deny any form of payout. When that doesn't work they just stop returning emails and phone calls, disgusting. Did OK by us – We had to cancel a cruise last year due to an impending operation for my wife. It took Flight center 4 weeks to sort out refund amounts . Zurich paid us within 5 days of submmiting our claim. very happy Show details
Claim Still Not Processed! – We put in a claim around the same time and our claim has still not been processed. Every time we call it's still being processed, after the phone call an email follows requesting more details, we have dealt with six different people! Zurich incompetent. What do the staff do?
