Samsung AddWash Front Loader

Superb! – This machine is perfect. Everything from work clothes to bright whites come out clean without soaking. It even handles queen blankets and doonas without a problem. I love the quick 15-minute cycle as it means I can get all the towels washed before work. I use the little door much more than I thought I would, especially when doing a load of whites, as I'm always finding extra socks under the kids' beds or under a chair AFTER I've began the load. The spin cycles are great! The full spin means my clothes and towels etc come out almost dry and only need a short time on the line, saving them from the harsh damage from the sun.

Disappointing – Broke down after 6 months. Samsung or the retailer weren't interested in resolving the issues. The machine had issues draining, stopping mid cycle and then kept displaying error messages. Had other Samsung appliances before that have been good. Unfortunately though this front loader has ruined my perception of Samsung. Will not be purchasing Samsung products again.

another drain and spin cycle to try and get the clothes to a point that they can be dried. Unfortunately sold the machine by the good guys on the gimmick of the “add wash’ door which was the only good thing that worked with this machine

reviews on various platforms it seems the spider arm breaking causing smoke and toxic fumes is very common with this machine, yet as with everyone else Samsung took no responsibility and seem to be getting away with selling such substandard products.

Samsung take no responsibility and offer me 15% discount, I own multiple Samsung products but this was the most disappointing experience with any appliance I’ve had.

Just 5 Years , family of 2, 3 loads per week, Washing machine broken. having numerous follow-up's via live chat and phone calls, sharing evidences of (photos , videoclips)broken washing machine, finally a case was raised and was allocated to a manager . Thereafter ,having a few chase up's finally received a phone call from the case manager. Initially, the case manager was reluctant to help, but after understanding my concern, he was willing to help by organizing a complementary repair from an authorized Samsung Service center. Service company phoned me to pick up the washing machine for repair and delivered it in a week post repair.

Unfortunately the repair didn't even last for a year, it's broken again. created huge noise with vibration as well, had to turn off the washing machine . Reported the issue with Samsung. Same old story, raised with customer service with relevant evidences, case created.

Received a phone call from Samsung. All this while I was thinking Samsung Customer Support is really helpful and supportive with the customers based on my prior experience, but after this phone call, my impression totally changed.

The person who spoke with me over the phone was totally impatient, so rude and not willing to listen to my concern at all. The staff had a prejudice to not let the customer talk and not to raise any further concerns. I've specially taken time from my work to attend the phone call, unfortunately the staff was neither respecting the value of my time nor my concern .

I have politely asked to talk with the staff's supervisor as the staff was totally impatient and cut me numerous times , but the staff firmly denied stating this can't escalate any further. Such a huge disappointment , I never ever expected this from Samsung . In short, no respect for Customer's concern.

The staff let my respect for Samsung's product go down totally, I will not buy any more from Samsung.

an absurd amount of water from underneath. Call it in and without anyone coming to inspect the machine, get a call from the authorised repairer stating they have the part - a seal - and I should be thankful that we aren’t being charged for it. Are you serious!!?? I should be thankful!! Your machine is faulty and I should be the one who is thankful!?! Clearly this is an issue for the machine if they can pinpoint the issue without coming out to inspect the machine first. Not to mention that it will be out of action for over 9 days by the time someone comes out to repair it. For a $3,000 washing machine I expect more than this. I am disappointed beyond belief with Samsung at the moment after spending 5k on washing machine and dryer, 4.5k on fridge and multiple call outs for repairs to faults outside our control. Get your act together Samsung.

Update post repair. There was no part required - there was something under the outer casing that hadn’t been tightened at the manufacturing stage - this has been fixed and machine back to working like a dream. Shame on the Newcastle Appliance repair receptionist - you’ve got no idea. You told me you knew what the issue was and blamed us for washing clothes with zippers etc.

Buying a Samsung Washer front loader again, does not apply to us – Bought a Samsung front loader 6 years ago. We paid $786. from I have described it is an expensive repair. Even though the warranty did expire, for such a huge mechanical fault, Samsung should have supplied free repair.

recalls said all their machines are made to fail! Seems another machine that should be recalled! Absolutely pissed off! DONT TRUST A SAMSUNG!

UPDATE: SAMSUNG ADVISED THAT THEY WONT REPLACE/COMPENSATE BECAUSE MACHINE WAS MANUFACTURED IN 2017! However the service technician who inspected the machine CONFIRMED that this fault was not because of me and is a KNOWN MAJOR FAILURE for this machine. Note: SAMSUNG GAVE ME THIS MACHINE TO REPLACE THE RECALL MODEL THAT CAUGHT FIRE BECAUSE OF A BROKEN SPIDER ARM BRACKET ON THE DRUM. NOT A COINCIDENCE - JUST ANOTHER COMPANY SELLING FAULTY PRODUCTS TO LINE THEIR POCKETS AND PUT THE LIVES OF THEIR CONSUMERS AT RISK!

Vibrates badly – When ramping up to spin & slowing down it vibrates so badly the case moves & o hear in the next room. Tech says nothing wrong! I have videos as well, samsung refusing to help & refer to tech report, don't buy from appliances online they don't have legendary service. Show details

DO NOT BUY! – In the time we have had our machine, it has broken down 3 times. The pulley for the barrel was the first to go, then the pump, and now the pulley have broken again and the whole barrel needs to be rebuilt. This is not something we should have to expect from a brand new machine. It is very frustrating to have to go without. Do not buy this machine. Go with another brand. Show details

Love the machine – I bought a front loader when we down sized. I love that the machine it is compact and makes my laundry look neat and tidy. The machine washes well and has many cycles to choose from. My clothes feel cleaner and are rinsed and spun well. The amount of time on the line is less so they don't dry out so much. 2 years on – Its been 2 years and still this washing machine doesnt dissapoint. Washes clean all the time. Give you alerts when its time for a drum clean. You can add small clothes anytime through the small door and the music it gives after the wash is a plus. Very easy to operate and easy to maintain. Excellent front loader – I originally had the top loader which was recalled and replaced with this model. This looks great in my laundry. Can do all sheets in one day saving me loads. The genius of being able to add after pressing start – The simple idea of not having to wait for a load to finish to add a forgotten sock or pair or jocks is brilliant. That simple thing got me but the other functions and the large space is also a reason for the 5 stars
