Great sound – I love these earbuds as they have a great sound and fit well in your ear canal, most others always fall out for me. I prefer these as they are not really noise cancelling which suits me when I am out riding my bike. As usual great sound quality from Sennheiser and excellent quality.  Show details

Very disappointing offering from a great company – I work in pro lighting and audio. I bought these buds to use when working at music festivals, to answer calls ... listening to music with them was to be a bonus. Turns out, they are not great for either. Average sound quality, certainly not what I expected of Sennheiser. Battery life is excellent. No visible indication of whether the device… Read more

is turned on or off. No way to see remaining battery life. Useless App you can download that doesnt actually do anything. They obviously decided to extend battery life by removing the load of even a flashing a power indicator. Most annoying are the buttons. Oddly placed tiny buttons on the inside of the neck piece, making them difficult to access and impossible to determine which button you are pushing. I found answering calls near impossible, By the time I slid my finger around and figured out which was the middle of the 3 buttons (not taking into account the slightly removed 4th power button), I missed several calls.

I also purchased the heat reactive memory foam style buds which are incredibly comfortable and offer excellent noise reduction. These are the only positive point I can find.

Overall, I would say they are overpriced for resulting sound quality, not very loud, have stupidly hard to use and poorly located tiny buttons and the buds are not magnetic so they are easy to snag on things and damage.

I will be selling mine and looking for something better.

Wow! Any musician needs these! – I love Sennheiser. Their all around quality is second to none and the value of this product is exceptional. I use these headphones when playing live music that requires backing tracks, metronomes and general feedback with the audio technician. Using these headphones, everything is crystal clear when performing and practicing in the studio. The… Read more

thick cable also gives me a peace of mind as I have had many non-Sennheiser headphones that have broken at the cable wires, meaning I have had to throw them out and buy new ones.

These headphone are still going and are showing no signs of wear and tear which is amazing. Recommend these to any musician or athlete or anyone looking to treat themselves to some great quality headphones.

Great quality earbuds – After putting up with cheap and nasty earbuds for many years I decided to treat myself. I read many product reviews before I purchased the Sennheiser Momentum in-Ear and am delighted by the great quality sound and durability. My 13 year old audiophile son is also very impressed. Highly recommended.  Show details

Great listening – ce thick cable makes for a premium feel. Nice responsive in-line remote and the angles earbuds are super comfortable. The ear canal is made from stainless steel and helps the premium feel also. Sound quality is quite punchy - crisp highs and enjoyable bass but the mids could do with a bit more clarity.  Show details

Fabulous Earphone Love Them – I bought these for my wife as she is very sensitive to surrounding sounds and needs top quality earphone. She is delighted with them and thats after trying so many headphones. The audio quality is superb and you can tell the construction is excellent too from feeling them. The best bit - they do a stellar job of blocking ambient sound and she is happy with them  Show details

Amazing! – This product is great for those who don't want to hear any surrounding sound. I use these everyday. I haven't found a product with the same price range and such great quality. I'd highly recommend this brand. When going for runs or training in the gym, the sound around you is blocked out and the headphones don't fall out. Love them!!  Show details

Great sound but build could be better – Great sound but build could be better. The sound is crisp and clear. The only downside to these headphones is the fitting into the ears. However they do come with a range of sizes so that helps. The angle of the earphones is also slightly different to other earphones .  Show details

Great sound but not so great fit – I am a fan of Sennheiser headphones so I thought I'd give their earphones a try. I have small ears so the fit isn't great but I am impressed with the 5 sizes of earbuds. The sound quality is very good when I am just sitting still so the earphones stay in place. Unfortunately I cannot walk or run with them.  Show details

Good sound, but only ok build – The sound produced from these are quite good and you get some decent noise cancellation. The build actually looks stylish but has some flaws in that some of the key parts seem flimsy. Also, the ear padding part will often drop off the earphone so I always have to be careful (lost two of them at the start).  Show details

Fine sound earphones – Sennheiser never let me disappointed. Sennheiser Momentum In-Ear is a stylish and high sound quality earphones, it also has really tangle-free cables, those cables are highly resistant to tangling, I can easily undo and start to enjoy music. The sound derlivered from iphone is quite well and it gives you more when you plug them into a player or computer with lossless music.  Show details

Good sound weak build quality – I've bought about 4 of these throughout the year and keep on coming back to them due to the sound they produce at this price point for IEM the only downfall for this is the cables are really flimsy and weak and aren't reinforced by anything else like it's other competitors are at this price point. Besides the build quality you cannot go wrong with these as a daily driver if your prepared to carry around a carry pouch.  Show details

Expensive but worth it – The ear buds are expensive but worth it. I initially bought them as my old Sony, and Samsung buds would only last 4-6 months (I use them for hours every day) and these came with a replacement warranty. I have not needed the warranty in the 7 months I've had them. I find the sound great, but they are not as comfortable as the Samsung in my ear but that is such a personal thing I'm sure others may prefer them.  Show details

Good balanced sound, debatable value – I bought these from JB during a christmas sale to replace my apple earpods, and definitely noticed a dramatic improvement in listening experience! The different sized buds were a nice inclusion, although the stock ones fitted my ears perfectly. I can wear these for 3 hours and not feel any discomfort! As more of a 'basshead' however, I recognise… Read more

these earphones produce a good, balanced sound, but if you're an EDM lover like me, you might be a little underwhelmed for the price you paid for them. Also, the buttons on the in line controls feel very cheap, would've liked better quality for the pricey purchase!

Exceptional sound quality – Very good pair of earphones that have a great range. Bass was also excellent. Only issue that i did have is that the earphone plastic bud inserts easily fell out and i would lose them. It is pretty much impossible to replace these buds without buying an entirely new set  Show details

2+2=4 -1=3 quick maths – Sennheiser always delivers good sound quality, so there's no problem with that. The case/packaging is very well-designed and I like the colors a lot. Bought these from JB hifi when my last pair of sennheisers broke. For some reason, the wiring always dies on mine well before they've lived their life.  Show details

Good design & sound quality – Sennheiser always deliver good sound quality, so there's no problem with that. The case/packaging is very well-designed and I like the colors a lot (I got the black&red). However after 2.5 years, the left earbud stops working. The durability of the wire is not as good as I thought, or maybe its just past its period after heavy use.  Show details

Terrible fit and impossible to sleep or work out with – I bought these from JB hifi when my last pair of sennheisers broke. For some reason, the wiring always dies on mine well before they've lived their life. (i typically only get 12 months out of any pair as i sleep in them and wear them to the gym or under ear muffs while mowing etc) This one came with extended 4 yr warranty through jb hifi and they… Read more

price matched an online store which was great.

The pros:

*- Great sound, great bass, no tinnyness or echoing or distortion of any kind. Its just good, clear rich sound. As always with this brand.

* the little clickery bit on the right wire is helpful to change the songs without having to unlock your phone/tablet/ipod. Saves a lot of fussing around and battery life on the device its attached to.

CONS:

1) They don't fit into your ears! I tried all the attachments for the pluggy bits and none of them allow a good snug fit in my ear without either creating a vacuum and acting as a soundproof ear plug in which no sound comes through OR just falling out and leaking sounds around the edges.

2) The "knob" on the end of the ear piece is MASSIVE! its far farrrr too big to ever be comfortable sleeping with and its sharp too, it can and does if your're not careful- CUT your ear!.

3)The pluggy/knobby bit is bent and twisted at some stupid angle that means they don't just sit straight out of your ear hole. They want to sit down and bent which means the sheer weight of the steel is too heavy and pulls it out of your ear.

4) the wires are coming out at the bottom of the plug so if you turn your head or move in any way, they fall out of your ears. Even when wearing big earmuffs over the top.

5) the cords are rubber and are very rough/sticky so they kink and stick to each other instead of just gliding over each other while you're moving.

Overall i'm really thoroughly disappointed in these ear buds. For the price they are i'd expect better. What's the point in buying something that you can't use because it won't stay on/in or cuts you?! I wish i could take them back and swap back for the older smaller $80 pairs. The sounds is exactly the same in these as those and they never ever fall out of your ears and are very comfortable even for sleeping.

terribly made in ear phones – sound quality is good as always but whats the point when they are the most uncomfortable pair or headphones I have ever worn! instead of contouring to the ears design they stick out badly often falling out when lying down or walking and definitely cant sleep with them in. Seriously who makes an ear bud jut out further on the ear?  Show details

Extremely good sound and durability – Despite being somewhat expensive, these earphones have been amazingly good. They sound amazing for earphones, with extremely clear sounds and bass and comfortable in-ear. It rivals even the ath-m50s. Its durability is also something to commended. Having been in the washer countless times, crushed in pockets and left outside for a day or so, it… Read more

still works as well as it did since purchase. Its high price is a concern but is a worthwhile investment, as it is a companion in daily life. Earbud replacements are expensive though, so be extremely careful in handling the buds.

Great Mid Range Earphones – The design of these earphones looks great with the red/black colour scheme (5/5). The button controls are also very useful for listening on the run (4/5). The passive noise cancellation is quite good on these earphones (4.5/5). The sound quality of these earphones are superb and have great bass as well as reactive highs (4.5/5)  Show details

Decent for the price – I got these headphones for free as a promotion and have no complaints, the sound far better than all of my other in ear headphones including my Shure in ear monitors, they are a little bit scooped in the midst but it's great for the style of music I listen to which is heavier or punk stuff. They feel well built but are plastic so I'm not sure how they'll go after heavy use.  Show details

Great sound, fit can be difficult – One of the best sounding in-ear headphones I have heard for the price. Solid low end from a small size. They are also a great looking headphone, with microphone and phone control buttons. They can be difficult to fit properly in your ear sometimes and do fall out pretty easily.  Show details

Breaks too easily – Bought a pair if these one year ago and they broke for no reason. Exactly same thing happened with the previous pair which admittedly they replaced and then they also broke good sound tho. For the price this should not happen especially considering how carefully they have been looked after  Show details

I LOVE these headphones – I'm a bit of a purist when it comes to sound, and these IEM's impressed me from the beginning. They look and feel very good, and come in a case with a moulded insert shaped to hold the 'phones and controller. The only (minor) drawback to this is getting them wrapped up around the insert for storage can take a few goes to get right so if you use… Read more

the headphones often you'll probably not use the insert. They're very comfortable to wear and at this stage of the review I'd call them very good...

But the sound experience is where they go to "Absolutely Outstanding". as soon as you press play, the world disappears and you're placed in an immersive, detailed soundscape. Everything feels well placed. The bass in Massive Attack's "Teardrop" has a tendency in single-driver monitors, to become muddy and overpowering, but the Momentums reproduced the bass deeply yet cleanly, and kept the acoustic guitars and that beautiful voice balanced. The snare rim-shot was snappy and hard and I could easily picture the drummer hitting the edge. Dire Straits' "Private investigations" was a delight to listen to and the sound of the footsteps created an image of a guy in a trenchcoat waking down a rainy alleyway. Again, everything was beautifully balanced and had a wonderful sense of placement. Next I decided to try a not particularly well produced recording and Megadeth's "Trust" was the perfect choice. The reason for this is that headphones that are "too accurate" bring all of the faults in the recording to the forefront. I'm pleased to say that the Sennheisers did a great job and made the song more listenable, giving the most headroom I've ever heard to this pretty compressed production. I've thrown everything from bass heavy electronica to metal to classical and everything in between at these IEM's and they've shone every step of the way. I whole heartedly recommend them to anyone who loves to really listen to their music.

Effective and eye catching, if slightly flimsy – Sennheiser's Momentum In-Ear headphones signify a new look for the often matte-plastic brand, and follow up the release of the Momentum on-ear headphones a few years prior. Out of the box, the earphones come in a stitched case, colour coded based on whether the IOS or android version was purchased. Inside the case, the earphones are wrapped… Read more

around a plastic frame, used for safe storage.

I found this frame to be ill-fitted to the length of the chord, making it difficult to store the earphones the way in which they were delivered.

The Momentum's do look great, which is unusual for the brand, and hopefully a sign of things to come. The design of the earpieces make for easy insertion, however the rubber ends can on occasion slip off and remain in your ear canals.

Sound quality is better than expected for the price range, with balanced high end and low end frequencies, and a wide soundscape.

The bass is solid yet not overpowering, and the drivers deliver strong mid's and treble, with a similar feel to similar to studio headphones.

Build quality is better than normal for Sennheiser, but still not perfect; as previously noted, the rubber tips can detach and catch in your ears, and the chord feels soft and far from durable, more suited to products half it's price.

Overall, despite a few flaws, the Momentum in-ear's are well worth the price. They look the part, sit well in the ears showing no sign of falling out during exercise, and sound great. I would recommend them to anyone looking for a mid range, versatile and stylish pair of earphones.

Excellent Headphones – You get what you pay for! Great bass and all around sound, crystal clear sound for phone calls. Accidentally left them in pocket through the washing machine, still work like brand new!
