I ran the photo past Anna, our florist of fifteen-plus years (now our bookkeeper :)). She pointed to the pink lily as the bud that keeps opening over the first few days. The chrysanthemums under it are the workhorses, outlasting nearly everything else in the vase, and the hot gerbera is in for the lift. That it came back in your sister's favourite colours was its own piece of luck, and a lovely one. Quinns Rocks is a beachside pocket up the northern coastline, so an order from England, out on the day and left safe at her house, travelled a fair way to get there.
