If you travel a lot its a fantastic card to have – It's expensive but if you travel a lot you get your annual fee back and more. The best thing about it is the fantastic Chubb travel insurance which is amazing! I recently had a trip to Europe which turned out to be an insurance nightmare from lost luggage to a smashed iPhone and the multitude of issues that arose as a result of the COVID19 disaster which took place in the middle of the trip. The complimentary platinum insurance which comes with the card paid out everything, including the unexpected repatriation costs to Australia. I hear a lot of travel insurance companies aren't doing the right thing but I can't fault this one. If you know someone with a platinum card they can send you a link which will start you with 90,000 points and they get another 30,000 which is pretty good too. I've been a member for about 10 years.
