Avoid purchasing Mercedes Benz vehicles built outside Europe and purchasing from Mercedes Benz Brisbane – I purchased my third Mercedes Benz from Mercedes Benz Brisbane in August 2016 - a GLE250d. There have always been problems with it from delivery. I have spent an extraordinary amount of time returning the vehicle to the dealership for them to investigate the issues. Since the first issues were reported, only days after delivery, they have implemented a systematic strategy of dragging issues out and in turn establishing me as a difficult customer. There is no doubt that the process at Mercedes Benz Brisbane is to wear you down with protracted debate over problems with the objective you will eventually give up. The Dealer Principal also appears to hide behind this strategy or isn't made aware of the issues. I have had to resort to recording issues with the vehicle while driving, and even with that concrete evidence, nothing. I have been told on more than one occasion they can't detect a problem, even when they have engaged their national representative, who again reported no faults. Not one to give up, I rejected the findings and test drove the vehicle with a senior mechanic from the dealership the same day. The fault was detected by him before we left the street within which the dealer is located. There was no acknowledgement or sorry for wasting your time, just keep the loan car and we will let you know when it is fixed. I have been contacted by the follow up 'Customer Service' team every time I have been into the service department. After explaining the process I have been through they are empathetic and I am always told that someone will contact me and that my feedback is important. I have never heard back from anyone over that time. I have even been offered the opportunity to replace the vehicle, as I was so unhappy about it, but nothing comes of any of these offers. I advise anyone considering the purchase of these non-European built SUV's to avoid doing so - they appear inferior compared to their European counterparts. You might love your new car now but i suggest you won't soon. When you drive a certain brand of car for over decade you know the differences. I wouldn't buy these SUV's again. I also have several colleagues with them who have had the same experience. I am more than happy to hear from the Dealer Principal if he / she wants to honour the commitment their Customer Service staff have made over time. I do not expect miracles just a response representative of the brand and values Mercedes Benz stand behind.
