Defects in the vehicle from day 1. Multiple defects some were in the sensors, electronics, the autonomous emergency front brake. Dealer and head office refused to fix any defects. They ignored me, stopped me from raising those defects. The vehicle was brand new. Would not purchase from Mercedes-Benz.

Don’t buy GLB 200 – I bought brand new GLB 200 on 6th of Sep 2022 and the problem happened on 7th of December, 14th of March and 19th of April. The dashboard which has the speed meter, indicators and fuel! Became blank while driving! Went to the Mercedes Benz South Melbourne 3 time! They said they can’t guarantee this won’t happen again! They refused to give me guarantees or exchange the car! Next step I will go to consumer affairs! Show details

Mercedes is nothing but a scam factory. They train their sales people to make big promises but when it comes to delievery they just ignore their commitments. On an average they change their sales person every 8-10 months so by the time your time comes to get the commitments fulfilled what they said at the time of sales, you dont have that person. … Read more

If you report that to dealership head, you see a new manager who was also replaced redcently. Then you report to Mercedes Australia, they just say they dont take any responsibility of dealship commitments. BEWARE! dont pay them $100,000 for a car that you can get at $35000-40000 from a decent brands...Their spare parts are also low quality.

Purchased a GLC 300 from Rukie Wickramasinghe at Mercedes Benz Waverley. Found Rukie to be very pleasant, polite and helpful. He listened and spent time to explain all features. There was no heavy sales pitch. On picking up the vehicle Rukie again was very helpful, answered all questions and again went through all features before allowing me to drive away. Would definitely recommend Rukie. Show details

Don’t buy any cars from Merceds Benz Hornsby you will regret. They sell faulty car to customers and claimed it’s not their problem point the finger to Mercedes Benz Headquarter Melbourne. Bought a brand New GLE 300D 2024 model in July 2024 for almost $170 thousand. For me It’s a lot of money which I expected an extraordinary and good quality of… Read more

its brand and reputation.

Also the quality, the material, car interior and parts of the GLE 300d it’s very cheap and unsustainable compare with other car brands. The steel wheel leather quality was the worst.

Unfortunately I received a faulty car - which oil leaking 4 times in 4 months. ( photo attached )

1st - 9 August 2024 - Engine oil level low, engine don’t stop after parked and off start engine.

2nd - 18 Sep 2024 - Engine oil level low

3rd - 29 Nov 2024 - Engine oil level low and leaking oil.

4rd - 20 Jan 1025 - Engine oil level low and crazy oil dripping.

I really don’t want to leave a negative comments here but it’s ENOUGH. Even Fair trading was involved the outcome was disappointing.

Every time when issues are arise they will ask you to go back to service for 2-3 weeks and they will return and guarantee it won’t happen again.

My car still in service today as of 28/2 2025 and received a called from Mercedes Benz headquarters Melbourne, they reject to refund or do a replacement. Also they guarantee it won’t happen again after inspected and reported from their head inspector.

Me : When I asked what happened if 5th time happen ?

Benz Melbourne : Go back to service they will check and inspect .

Is it a Joke ?

As show of respect I don’t want to mentioned anyone’s name of agent, manager or sales person here. But please put into the consideration and sympathy if this happens to your car what will you expect.

Beware - Don’t buy any car from Mercedes Benz Hornsby!!!

Very disappointing experience with 3 Point Motors Epping. I purchased a Certified Pre-Owned Mercedes-AMG GLC 63 S expecting quality and peace of mind. Instead, I’ve dealt with ongoing faults, multiple failed repair attempts, and a complete lack of… Read more

The vehicle has had recurring oil and coolant issues, and despite repeated visits to Mercedes service, the problems persist. This problems been happening at 60,000kms

Rather than resolving the situation fairly, I was offered a trade-in that would result in a substantial financial loss.

This is not what you expect when dealing with a premium brand.

I would not recommend purchasing from this dealership based on my experience I wasted over $107,000 + onroad and transport cost

I am currently exploring my options under Australian Consumer Law in relation to this matter.

Misleading, unprofessional, and completely unworthy of the trust customers place in the Mercedes-Benz brand. I purchased a vehicle from the pre-owned department at Mercedes-Benz Ringwood ( Victoria )and quickly discovered that key features used to promote the vehicle during the sales process were not actually fitted to the car. The sales staff… Read more

were happy to verbally highlight these premium features when selling the vehicle, but none of these representations were documented, making them easy to deny once the sale was complete.

What is particularly concerning is that customers should not need specialist knowledge or independent inspections to verify whether features discussed by a Mercedes-Benz salesperson are genuinely present on the vehicle. When purchasing from an authorised dealership, there should be an expectation that information provided by staff is accurate and reliable.

Once the contract was signed and the vehicle delivered, communication became extremely difficult. Calls, emails, and messages were largely ignored, leaving me with little option but to repeatedly chase responses. When I eventually escalated the matter, management failed to demonstrate any meaningful accountability and appeared more interested in defending staff than addressing legitimate concerns or providing a fair resolution.

The dealership's handling of the issue has ultimately forced me to escalate my complaint to Consumer Affairs Victoria. What should have been a straightforward discussion and resolution has instead become a lengthy, stressful, and frustrating process requiring significant time and effort simply to have my concerns properly considered.

My advice to prospective buyers is simple: independently verify every feature that is important to your purchasing decision and obtain written confirmation wherever possible. Based on my experience, I would strongly recommend exercising extreme caution before purchasing from this dealership.

At the time of booking a service I was told (there was no point in checking). • I ordered a new key and it was mentioned that (preferably they would like payment in advance). • I was only told that the key would come (pre-cut and ready to go and nothing else). • I thought with the cost of $1071 involved further attempt to get the key working would be worth trying and after numerous tests it seems to be operative and reliable. • I therefore advised [Name Removed] but told the order was not refundable. • This I was not advised at the time of placing the order and the fact that we were still at my request of several times asking for them to check my key at the time of the service booked. • The replacement key had not yet been delivered. • I was prepared to pay $500 to resolve this unnecessary issue. • In the absence of any speedy and amicable solution I was advised by the office of Fair Trading and my bank on the course of action.

I mention simply the willingness to check the spare key as in fact suggested by their staff would have been the proper and professional way rather than barring and TELLING A CUSTOMER TO TAKE HIS CAR ELSWHERE FOR A SERVICE by [Name Removed] their parts manager as unnecessary, egoistic, unfair, unreasonable and with the monopoly of the only Mercedes Benz dealership on the Sunshine Coast.

The spare key has in fact been working and efficiently during this time for now a couple of years. I tried to explain to [Name Removed] the Service Manager normally very approachable and [Name Removed] but no reply or response which seems to be the policy. I make this belated point as I keep on hearing so many stories of this monopoly covering customer care and relations, servicing even staff.

insurance, despite being unable to use the vehicle. While the dealership was supportive and ultimately completed the repair, the overall time taken to resolve the issue was significant.

What was most disappointing was the response from Mercedes-Benz Australia/Pacific. Despite the extended downtime and the clear impact, my requests for any form of goodwill assistance or compensation were declined, and I was advised their position would not change.

I understand that delays can occur, however a loss of use of this length had a material impact. In my view, the outcome did not appropriately reflect the level of inconvenience experienced, particularly for a premium brand.

Overall, while the repair was eventually completed by the dealership under warranty, the end-to-end experience fell short in terms of timeliness, accountability and customer support.

Lack of Trust and Communication I trusted Mercedes-Benz Adelaide with my car after it stopped starting. I was told it needed a fuel pump, and because the cost was significant, I asked whether this was the only issue. I was assured — and have this in writing — that the fuel pump was the only problem, and that if anything else came up, they would… Read more

look after it. I approved the repair based on that assurance.

Over a month later, I was informed that the car was ready. However, when I arrived to collect it, the engine was shaking noticeably at idle — something that was not mentioned in the email advising me to pick up the car. I only discovered the issue in person, so I refused to take delivery. After that, I was told the injectors also needed work at an additional cost, despite earlier reassurance that the fuel pump was the only issue.

I raised this with Mercedes-Benz Adelaide and referred to the written communication I had received, but the situation did not improve. I then contacted the Mercedes-Benz Australia Escalation Team, hoping for support and a fair resolution. After nearly two weeks of following up and speaking to them many times, I was told they could not assist and that I needed to deal with the dealership directly. I was surprised, as I expected the escalation or complaints team to help resolve issues between customers and the dealership.

Eventually, with no other option, I collected the car while it was still shaking. I want to highlight two concerns clearly:

1. The shaking issue was never communicated to me in the “ready for collection” email. I only became aware of it when I arrived at the dealership, which was unexpected and concerning.

2. I had a written assurance that if anything else came up while fixing the fuel pump, Mercedes-Benz Adelaide would look after it. When the new issue appeared, this assurance was not honoured, and I was asked to pay additional costs.

These two matters — lack of communication and not honouring a written assurance — were the most disappointing aspects of my experience.

While I appreciate the staff who spoke to me politely throughout the process, the overall experience did not reflect the level of transparency and follow-through I expected from a brand like Mercedes-Benz. Sharing my experience is simply my way of helping other customers understand what happened.
