Shady methods used in pricing for quotes – I have today requested that Oneflare removes my business details from their directory, along with closing my account with them. I urge all other contractors to consider whether the Oneflare service is actually working for connecting you to customers or connecting your money to their bank account. I tend to believe it is the latter.

The cost for per lead in my case has gone from 17 credits to 27.4 credits - yes, they are now charging in decimal places of credits. This is a 60% price increase, and nowhere along the line was I (apparently a valued customer of Oneflare) told that this price increase was coming.

To put this into perspective, Oneflare are now making $82.20 per enquiry made to the website, and $54.80 of that is coming from "customers" that are getting $0 value from the lead.

Let's assume that Oneflare are being honest on their website so we can put this into perspective. When I register today for a Web Design job, the system tells me that there have been 7966 others like me that have posted a job this week.

This means, if my Web Design quote rate is close to an average price, then on average Oneflare are making $654,805.20 each week and $436,536.80 of this money is coming from businesses like mine that are getting no value at all from the service.

This is POOR form by Oneflare - in fact, I wonder if it could be considered a scam under ACCC's ScamWatch.

If you run a business and have a listing with Oneflare, then I suggest you also contact them and have your details removed from their directory - they are competing with your own organic search engine rankings (and in generic search cases, they are often winning).

I will be sending a query to the ACCC in relation to this business structure given that 66% of their business revenue is generated by customers that get ZERO value from the service.

This is appalling - and in my opinion, they should not be supported by our business.

Hi Davemack, Thankyou for taking the time to write some detailed feedback for us!

In some service categories on Oneflare there has been a price increase. This is due to the fact that we realised we had been grossly undercharging the leads on our platform. In some cases we were even losing up to 40% per lead and this simply wasn't sustainable. However, prices will remain dynamic and be specified on each lead before you quote so that you can pick and choose what to spend your money on.

The figures you have stated above are very broad generalizations that do not take into account the costs of running a business such as Oneflare and consequently are not accurate representations.

Regarding receiving no value from the service, quoting with Oneflare is akin to posting your business on any other lead generating or business marketing site. However, with Oneflare you're able to be selective and quote on qualified, legitimate customers who are wanting to get real jobs done. Oneflare will refund your quote if the job is no longer going ahead or if the quote hasn't been seen over 48 hours and you haven't revealed the customer's phone number.

If you'd like to give our Oneflare Support team a call on 13 18 18 we'd be more than happy to continue this conversation in depth.

OMG - You have made me laugh... Are you living in a fantasy land, or are you THAT ignorant that you believe your own bullsh*t? Losing 40% per lead??? On a service where you are prepaid? How the hell do you figure that?

Hi Davemack, As any business does, Oneflare has overheads. In order to keep generating quality leads and improve our platform, we need to spend money on marketing and general business costs.

We're sorry that Oneflare does not suit your business model at this time, however we are constantly improving so hopefully you will try us again in the future!
