Revo
Looks great, sounds terrible – I purchased a recently released Revo Supersystem available online only in Australia. With the promise of a beautiful exterior, excellent technology… Read more
and room filling acoustic performance.
I eagerly awaited my purchase, anticipating a premium product worthy of the $1,000 price tag.
Upon receipt of the stereo I set it up and was pleased by the aesthetics and ease of use, unfortunately however the sound quality is unacceptably poor. Despite 80 watt speakers and a built in subwoofer the sound that comes out is flat, muddy and unrefined. Music played through the system is so poorly reproduced it just ruins whatever you are listening too. My small portable speaker and radio from the 80's produce much better audio quality.
After 5 days and playing around with the EQ settings I requested that I may return the unit for a refund. After a lengthy delay I was advised to send the product back to check for faults. The distributor tested the product, advised that it was working well and posted it back, denying a refund.
I would strongly advise anyone considering purchasing this stereo not to do so without listening to one in person beforehand. Otherwise you will be sorely disappointed. You could spend half as much and get something of much better sound quality. I will not be using by Supersystem any longer and will just purchase some small studio monitors to plug my phone or tablet into so I can enjoy listening to my music again.
