to iinstall and use. I brought the first after my son locked me out of the house for the second time. Since then I have been able to get back in without a mechanical key (twice).

After a year I decided to get a lock with some additional features but after trying 3 non-Schlage locks, I decided to buy the same unit that I currently have.

I haven’t looked back since.

had never heard of this lock, despite it being one of their own products, and had no useful advice to offer. There are a lot of alternatives so I think this is my last time buying Schlage.

An update. I changed to a more expensive battery and the lock now works find. Doesn't excuse the poor customer service though.

Support confirmed the Ease S2 only has a 2-year warranty for finish. Really disappointed with durability and the warranty coverage. Wouldn’t buy again.
