I have had it for 6 + years. I own lots of different BBQs, kettle Webber's and a pellet smoker. I use this for general bbqs and bacon and eggs. You… Read more
can put a 40cm Bessemer fry pan straight on it for scrambled eggs. Ive Cooked loads of bbqs on it. The best way to clean it is remove the fat tray. Place a $2 bucket underneath it. Spray oven cleaner and let it sit for 25min, then pour 2 boiling hot kettles around the burners, and push the fat into the bucket. Then wipe it over.
Kept under cover it's held up well.

The good and the bad review – The burners are ceramic with a glass dome which makes a great oven . I've cooked chicken and pork on the rotisserie and came out perfect. I also… Read more
cooked a cheese cake and puddings also great. But when cooking a steak, no good on the aluminium grill ( doesn't hold the heat to give the steaks that score makes ) the burners don't let out enough heat like the old one's. l cook my steaks and sausages in a skillet on the side burner. Also on the side burner the rack where the pot sits is too low on the flame, hard to regulate heat ( I raised the rack about 15mm perfect) The fire box is black enamel easy to clean, love it. The out side is stainless steel and also easy to clean ( I use a anti corrosion lubricant called Inox that you can buy from any boat shop ) The glass domes you must clean them after every cook otherwise the will stain and very hard to get off. I love my Ziegler and brown it looks great as a outdoor kitchen and cooks the the way I like it.

adequately informed and educated enough after using this to leave a review.
First problem - the slightest breeze it won’t get to temperature. If you open the lid the flame will go out. Makes it impossible to grill on in the wind.
Second Problem - un even cooking, centre back over cooked, left and right edges still raw.
Third Problem - if you are travelling you cannot get parts for this BBQ. Webber is sold everywhere including Bunnings.
Fourth Problem - cleaning, it has this unscrew drip tray with rubber seal. It’s nearly impossible to get off, then if the seal comes off when cleaning it’s take a forever to get back on.
Things I like… we’re nearly at the end of the trip and I won’t have to use it anymore.
It does light well, and has a lid locking feature.

Should have kept my Rusty 10 year old Gasmate 4 Burner BBQ – Very disappointed. Not really a BBQ, but it looks like one! Used it 4 times so far. Heat retention is terrible. As soon as the lid opens, and you… Read more
put food on, most of the heat has dissipated. Would not recommend, not worth the money, if I'd have tested it first, would not have taken it home for free
The quartz burners are lame. No real BBQ taste on food, just sort of gets half grilled half stewed. BBQ only just manages to put char marks on food from the bars and hard to get any decent colour on food when using the solid plate. Have cooked Corn, Zucchini, Eggplant,Capsicum, Asparagus, Onion, and other veg, would have been better off using a pan. Steaks, burgers, bacon, sausages, Salmon, Lamb Cutlets also cooked on it, with disappointing results.
It fried an egg okay, but hey, I have a pan for that!
Food doesn't stay warm long, due to lack of heat during cooking.
A shame that I have used it, as would have asked for a refund if I had known. Should have read reviews first.
I'm yet to have to cook in a bit of wind or rain, but imagine that it will be hopeless in those conditions too.
To early to mention build quality after two weeks.

not, except that the temperature remained so low that nothing would cook. Eventually we moved the bbq indoors where we could connect it directly to a 15amp power outlet. From then it worked reasonably OK, nothing like as hot as a gas BBQ mind you, while it smoked up the room. This thing looks the part, but fails to live up to expectations. The heating element is a simple old fashioned winding element that looks no different to a cheap unit, and is not effective for the size of the BBQ. We had a simple little electric one, that worked very well, that eventually failed, so we bought the Ziggy. In my opinion, you're far better off buying a cheaper smaller unit that draws fewer amps, and functions as expected. I am disappointed.
