Worst decision I made buying this coffee machine. While the machine itself is good, it is noisy and takes a while for the coffee to brew. What is… Read more

extremely inconvenient & annoying is you can only buy their coffee pods. Also the milk frother isn’t as good as my old one even though it looks better. My other coffee machine was compatible with many coffee pod brands. I’m seriously considering getting rid of it because it’s also more expensive when I was wanting to cut down costs.

didn’t require Lavazza coffee pods. While there’s nothing inherently wrong with Lavazza’s blend, it simply doesn’t deliver that "great" taste. I bought the Desea after my old Caffitaly S23 sprung a leak, and while the Lavazza far outshines it in build quality, the coffee output is another story. Using Grinders Crema pods with the Caffitaly, I consistently enjoyed a café-quality flavour. In my opinion, Grinders pods are about as close as you can get to coffee shop standards in a capsule. Sadly, Grinders doesn’t produce compatible pods for the Lavazza system—and likely never will. Now I’m left with an excellent machine that may end up collecting dust… or worse, heading to the council tip.
