depends on the audiologist. Jody Africa at Bairnsdale is an exceptionally helpful guy, very good manner and explained everything to an id*ot like me in a way I could understand. The aids are tuned precisely to where my hearing loss occurs. After only a couple of weeks i still can hardly credit the improvement. If you get Jody, you will be happy. If your Specsavers aren't doing the right thing - try elsewhere.

renewed my membership to access the warranty for a faulty aid that wasn't charging. I waited at the store while they claim to repair the device. I travelled home to find them exactly the same. When I contacted them again they said they would need to be sent away for repair. They refused to accept them via post offered no assistance for the extended travel. Also suggested I should buy hearing aids closer to home. Maybe good advise don't purchase Costco products unless you live next door.

well intentioned government subsidies for hearing aids , those days are over for that business model if the word gets out about these. Now to state clearly, this hearing aid cost about $30. Next let me be clear, this hearing aid has 1 type of sound that does distort, that sound being in the range of jingling coins or keys and the like. And very occasionally a very low electro interference from unidentified source, almost inaudible, though i have noticed it, however it's nothing really and very occasionally depending on location. That's it for the down sides. Been wearing for 1 month, get 5 days+ per size 10 battery. Nothing hanging over my ear, nothing to worry about getting wet in rain or sweat, nothing getting caught up in my glasses. No more problems with using phones or headphones. No more getting new tubes or ear domes that you need to store. Everyday sounds come through just as good sometimes better than my expensive thousands of dollars one. No more fronting up for a review from the audiologist no more co-payments for batteries. I just simply buy my own batteries from chemist warehouse or any number of places or even online. These hearing aids are so cheap I bought a few so have spares, at these prices why not? No more waiting days or weeks for repairs, just pop in a new one. If one only last a year, which is the warranty, it's only $30 a year even if that is the case. Can adjust the volume yourself easily without hassle, no one even notices my hearing aid anymore. Wear a motorcycle helmet without feedback or worry of it falling off everytime you remove your helmet. Will never be going back to those bricks you hang over your ear that get tangled with everything, not to mention cost thousands, If your not worried about the cons I mentioned, then do yourself a favour, buy them. Or at the least try them, at that cost what have you got to lose really. As a final note, these do come in a rechargeable model, however having tried them the battery life is up to 1 day at best. quality (especially speech) is very poor. I have had them adjusted by my audiologist but still frustrating that I can hear people talking 1-2 metres away but can't hear what they are actually saying! Edited to say mine are not rechargeable but that was my choice.

There is absolutely no way to contact them, no email address, Contact Us link gets you nowhere , they just refuse to provide any warranty for a new item that was dead on arrival, no refund and no replacement . Be very careful if the price tempts you to purchase from them , from my experience it is a complete scam .

I was a bit worried about getting a cheap pair of off the shelf hearing aids. My last pair cost $6,000 in 2019 and these cost $189 in January 2025. I needn’t have worried as far as I can tell up to now. I bought them from a very helpful ebay seller called cherryout069.
I really like that I am now responsible for my own hearing aids and that I can carry out hearing tests at home and then let the app adjust the hearing aids. My ears need to be tested fairly often these days because my hearing is deteriorating quite quickly.
The app is free, or included in the price, and I installed it before I ordered these hearing aids so I could check it out first. It looked professional and comprehensive.
The hearing aids are comfortable after trying a couple of pairs of domes. Even before I did a hearing test and adjusted them they were very good. After connecting them to bluetooth, I tried the app. It was pretty easy to connect and use. When I had done the hearing tests and ‘used’ (applied) the results, things were even better.
Noise cancelling/reduction is better than any other in-ear device I have tried, including my latest earbuds.
They are still new so I can’t report on how well they will last. They claim to have a life of three years, which seems a bit short, but my expensive ones are considered worn out after five years.
Any bad things? Well, the charging case doesn’t show how much charge is left in either the charger/case or the hearing aids. The app refuses to show the charge in the hearing aids, but my phone shows that in the bluetooth notification, if I have them connected. Like any in-ear devices, I find them a bit fiddly to handle.
I just need to add that the seller and manufacturer were not at all helpful after I'd bought them.
