renovation 17 years earlier, started giving just hot or cold water rather than water that varied in temperature. We replaced that faulty tap with a Base MK2 Sink Mixer Chrome Tap supplied by Reece. Last week, the Reece mixer started leaking. The plumber who came today discovered a hole in the spout of the mixer (see video), which appears to be due to corrosion of the metal from which the spout is made. Earlier reviews by Sara and Moses indicate that they had MK2 mixers fail in a similar way. Obviously, leakage in MK2 spouts due to corrosion is a recurring problem that Reece should address. The plumber telephoned Reece to determine if the mixer was still under warranty and was told that the warranty on this mixer was for only 1 year. Reece's very limited warranty strongly suggests that Reece knows that the Base MK2 Sink Mixer Chrome Tap has a significant chance of failing within a short time after installation. In my opinion, Reece should be concerned that selling inferior merchandise like the MK2 sink mixer will damage their reputation and discourage people from buying their other products.

per so many other reviews (which I read too late), to get warm & hot water you have to increase the pressure, so it just splashes all over the sink, vanity & floor - can't get hot water at a slow pace. I wish they'd make that clear on the product information. Or basically don't offer them as a product - they are highly impractical & almost useless.
