Steak knives only - Brilliant – This review is for the steak knives only. A fork is a fork is a fork, they make no difference to a meal. However, a knife can either make a meal… Read more

easy and pleasurable or difficult and cumbersome. I was given a set of these knives in 2001. Recently I purchased some more. I can barely tell the difference between the old and new. That is how good the quality is. I use these every single day and the 17 year old ones are still as sharp as they were all those years ago. I have had other steak knives, but gave them to the op shop. These are the only ones you need to own. Tomatoes are very easy to cut with these too. They are a potentially tricky fruit to cut. A straight knife never does the job as well as a serrated one. These knives cut through anything. Steak is a breeze. I have always chucked them in the dishwasher and have had zero handle problems. I also bought the potato peeler. It is great quality and still as sharp as day one. Highly recommend!

Buy with care – When I moved out of home I had to buy a lot of stuff. One of the things I gave a lot of thought to was kitchen knives. Those Wiltshire StaySharp… Read more

knives were rubbish. Then I discovered Victorinox, Mundial and Wustoff. After nearly fifty years I still use them. I use a steel to hone them and rarely need to use a stone to sharpen them. Long after you pay the price you will just smile as you slice though vegetables or meat. NEVER put in a dish washer!

Excellent – I have had 2 sets of these knives for over 20 years and they are still my favourite. I have been looking to buy more & will after COVID. Still sharp and amazing. Show details

Very, very good but not the best – This Swiss made all metal peeler with a carbon steel blade is a very, very good peeler. However it is not the best. The best peeler I have ever had… Read more

is my recently deceased all metal Japanese made peeler. The two look almost exactly alike, except that my Japanese peeler was stainless steel with a serrated stainless steel blade that could peel soft vegetables like tomatoes!

Thank you to my daughter who researched online and bought this for me from Sydney's Peters of Kensington online store - a fantastic store that we miss dreadfully.

Short lived & expensive – Straight out of packet feels and looks the part. It got a good edge on my two filleting knife's that get used for an hour, two times a week. Quickly… Read more

short lived tho with the diamond coating over base rod wearing away within a month of use to the point it's just a smooth rod without the diamond. Definitely not worth the Victorinox name or the price, as I've had much lesser quality steels last ALOT longer.

Disappointing - blunt after only a few knives – Before, we had a small diamond sharpener. As this steel rod was described as very efficient and it cost much less we ordered. Do not trust Swiss… Read more

quality! Most likely their expensive diamond sharpener is very good but this (not cheap) is almost useless.
