Briggs & Stratton Power Tools
Good solid generator – Our power went off for 4 days during a cyclone, I raced out and bought the last generator available which happened to be the Briggs&Stratton P3000 so… Read more
that was my only choice. This was in March 2017. We have at least 2-4 blackouts a year due to storms, floods and people hitting power poles. Anywhere from 12 hours to 4 days. This generator lives on the back porch at the ready. 270 hours on the meter and still going strong. Has run up to a large fridge, large freezer, two bar fridges, fans, tv, computer and the water pump. I’m using it right now as I type this review. It’s been a trooper of a generator. I’m sure it will die one day, nothing lasts forever. I work it pretty hard as I run it in economy mode, and she groans when the water pump turns on. I’ve used it to run a 15amp mig welder out in the paddock and it handled it great. It’s almost 7 years old as of writing and has paid for itself, I wouldn’t hesitate at this point to buy another one if this one wears out, providing it doesn’t fail due to poor design/parts quality. I see someone wrote that he couldn’t get a new inverter for his, I haven’t needed any parts but that could be an issue. Although the design hasn’t changed and they sell these world wide so eBay does have a source for new and used parts. You would just have to be prepared to source from the U.S. I can still get parts for a 25 year old MAKITA leaf blower.
Happy with washer but… – Purchased the Sprint 3200 pressure washer and for the most part am happy with it. One thing that is an annoyance is that it moves about if it’s on a… Read more
flat hard surface. Means you have to have one eye on where it is moving while using it. Might have to jerry rig a brake. The hose feels a bit chincey but I guess time will tell. Engine is good and the reason I purchased it but could do with a tune straight out the box. Overall happy but not totally.
Good value for money pressure washer – I've been using the sprint 2800psi Briggs and Stratton pressure washer for over a month now and can't fault it. There are four changeable nozzles… Read more
that come with the machine for various types of work. I purchased a clip on turbo head for $23 dollars which also works a treat. The pressure is constant and this machine by far out performs any electric model I've ever had. The delivery hose is made of a proper heavy duty high pressure material which can be difficult to roll up but you'll work out how to handle it after awhile. Follow the instructions on how to start and keep your fuel fresh and drain the bowl if not using constantly and or the machine is to be stored for any period of time. It's easy to relocate as its mounted on a never go flat tyre system and the trolley doesn't bump your heels when relocating. I paid $500 for mine so do a deal with your local agent as the likes of Bunnings will touch your bottom for over $600 dollars. You can get parts for these machines but be sure to get it serviced and watch the run times on these units as they are prone to over heating the pump, as are all of these types with continual, none stop use.

appliances to keep my family comfortable. It does it well, easily running a 8kW split system inverter A/C, lighting, small appliances, rainwater pump, etc. With the essentials running like A/C, TV and a few lights loading was about 45%, so plenty left if you want to boil the kettle.
The panel on the front was easy to adapt so I could change 1 outlet to 32A outlet for safe supply to my house switchboard changeover switch. (note: I am an electrician).
Large 28L fuel tank is great. Electric and recoil start. It is a bit heavy but being on wheels even the wife is able to move it around easily. It is a loud generator so not ideal for small enclosed yards, but it is tolerable.
Picked it up at a great price of just under $2k (group buy of 4 generators with 4 friends, all of which are also happy with it).
