realise how useful this item would be for my health at this age, being in my 60's, keeping track of how much water i drink and keeping an eye on my food intake was all new to me really. There are many more fearures to this watch. Highly recommend this product. What a fantastic easy way to get back into some great routines while keeping track of my existing condition.

Good watch for linking to phone but expect short lifespan. The watch is a great addition to a phone with decent sports and health features. … Read more

Features are good for the price. What is unacceptable is the lifespan of the product and the after sales service which didn't last the warranty period. Samsung acknowledged it was a faulty watch but refused to replace the product because there was no official replacement stock - even though there were watches available in the actual store. They then used pressuring language for me to take a refund quickly or they would not honour the warranty at all (it was really quite rude). I took the refund and bought a Garmin - they last forever and are much better sport watches.

malfuinction. the GPS was show me the wrong distances.

when I went to service/repair chats, they asked me number of questions and asked me to reset the watch. asked me to update the apps of the wach, and asked me that whether I have evidence to show that it malfunctions. none of them resoved my issue.

finally when I walked to a service center after booking a service They wanted a payment to check the watch saying it too long after purchase.

NEVER BUY SAMSUNG WATCHES as they can malfuntion after about two years.(specially if you need to track you runs)

This happened to me with my Samsung Galaxy watch as well. the Heart rate sensor was malfuntioning after about two years.

See the below 10km run shows the wrong distance. :|

I used to buy lots of Samsung products for the last 12 years. I will not buy any Samsung devices as their after sales service is very poor now.(it used to be very good)

I love this Samsung Galaxy Watch I did get a little help setting it up but once I was shown what to do, I have managed to keep it running and use it… Read more

as often as I can. I must admit this was my first smart watch as I wanted something I could read easily which I can and the battery life is brilliant. I don't use all the functions that you can with it, but it is good enough for me the way I have it set up. You do need a Samsung device to use it and the apps that you need to use to keep everything working properly.

Love the bigger screen and new faces. Bixby is difficult to use, she keep on cutting messages short- speech to text- for text messages. Navigation and other apps are the same. ** then there is the usb port for the charger. Why would you change this????? Every man and his dog has to use an adapter to make it fit into the pc or charger.

Falsely advertised, badly designed, fails at basic reading. The website advertising said it could monitor sleep apnia. I spent quite some time… Read more

reading a range of incomplete documentation to get this working. The function simply does NOT exist on the watch. I eventually discovered some small print on the website which says. "Not all features available in all regions". This function seemed simply falsely advertised in Australia.

I assumed the same applied to it's "VO2Max" measuring, which also did not exist on my watch. But after months I discovered that when I configured the watch for the best available GPS positioning, the menu option magically appeared. After a few days it started producing numbers.

Even though the above options do not exist initially on the watch, many options do exist but cannot be used. When you click on them it says these features only work on the Watch 8. Why add them to the menu at all?!??! Options that can never work are always in the menu system, and options that should work are not in the system at all. Silly design.

But worse, virtually every night when the watch measures my sleep, there are periods in which it measures nothing. These last from between 30 minutes to 4 hours. At first I assumed that the watch was saying that I was awake in the period, but later realised that it was simply not measuring at all - according the the watch - I had no heartbeat or breathing at all then (there are separate periods when it does measure me as awake). The results then are significantly influenced by this failure. I am wearing the watch exactly as per recommendations.

The algorithm also values the proportion of time in good sleep over the absolute time in good sleep. This means that I have slept for an hour total and gotten a sleep score of 47, and yet have slept for 6 hours and have gotten a sleep score of 32 - even though my total of deep/REM sleep was much larger in the 6 hour sleep night. This is a patently simplistic algorithm which delivers little value.

The watch's configuration and options are split between the watch and the TWO apps you need to manage the watch. Much time is wasted finding options. The documentation is poor - including that it actually mislabels the names of the required App Store apps.

This watch is badly designed, badly documented, has simplistic and poor algorithms and fails to deliver most nights that I use it.

It is astonishing that a company the size of Samsung could deliver something so poor.

Battery life was excellent for around the first year, then dropped dramatically. It went from charging every few days to daily, and more recently it… Read more

can drop from ~15% to 0% in around 10 minutes, including dying overnight.

The support process has been frustrating and circular. I sent the ring to Samsung Chermside for assessment and it was returned as “no fault found”, despite the battery behaviour. I was then advised to use the Samsung Members app if the problem continued. Members support took a long time to respond, and after further log analysis they advised it was suspected to be a hardware defect, but then directed me back to another service assessment again.

There also doesn’t appear to be a simple online booking pathway for Galaxy Ring service in Australia, which adds to the difficulty.

Overall: great when it worked, but the battery degradation and warranty/support experience has been very disappointing.

received invoice for $150 before watch would be repaired!! This is not the advice provided by samsung reps. You might want to think twice before buying a Samsung watch as the bezel is an integral part of the watch.
