sound. But TV had no audio (RCA) output. We had before SONY GREAT TV and we used for audio HDMI output and HDMI adapter to RCA. works great. Unfortunately this option does not work with SAMSUNG. So I contacted support. Over 40 minutes talking to Samsung "Expert". I asked for help haw can I connect Samsung TV to my stereo. I was getting so many not helping advice, some even with my little knowledge was just bad. I was repeatedly asking to talk with someone who would be more experienced. After 40 minutes I gave up. We are so sorry we purchased this TV with our experience SONY was much better.

Samsung 65” QD Oled S90D 4k smart TV Have owned this TV for a year now, it is a December 2024 model, but it is still available and if you can buy… Read more

this for a reduced price or clearance price you would not be disappointed by its quality and performance. The direct new replacement for this TV is model S90F (QA65S95FAWXXY)

Model numbers and Oled types from Samsung can be confusing and their new QD Oled tv’s are amongst the best out there. I learned that the model numbers contain codes that indicate if this is a QD (Quantum dot) or W-Oled (White Oled). WOLED uses white subpixels with colour filters, which offers better bright room performance and deeper blacks due to polarizers, whilst QD Oled uses blue Oled with Quantum dots for purer, more vibrant, and efficient colour, excelling in darker rooms but can struggle with reflections and washed-out colours in brighter light.

I do not pretend to be the technical expert, a lot comes down to personal preference, but in trying to understand the differences I have a friend with a Sony Bravia 8 equivalent TV, which uses Woled panel and after viewing various types of programmes and general TV programmes, decided that the QD Oled gave better results overall. In the Samsung model numbers, the DAWXXY means that it is a QD Oled panel, and the DAEXXY numbers mean it is a Woled panel.

After much debate over buying Oled TV or new mini led tv which have come a long way, decided that the Oled is still the superior TV, mainly for the deeper blacks and contrast which this TV excels at, with Samsung making the QD Oled, which was my preferred option. Price is a consideration for a lot of viewers and Oled tv’s are not the cheapest on the market.

There is also still some fear of Image retention and burn in with Oled, but the modern version Samsung (and LG etc.) has protection methods and pixel shifting etc. built in and unless you are running very static images for very long periods of time, burn or image retention is much less of an issue in general everyday use and not likely to be a problem. But I am still cautious and do not leave the TV with paused screen for long periods of time – having said that if you do leave a still image for more than a couple of minutes, the screen saver function cuts in and turns the screen black with a rotating pattern until such time as you fire it up again.

This TV has an excellent picture and whilst SDR brightness is very good, it excels in HDR10+ broadcasts and its brightness is very good overall to the level where it will give good results even in a room with the lights on because of its great overall handling of reflections, though it is going to struggle a little bit in extremely brightly lit rooms.

The Samsung S90D is great for a variety of usages. If you need a TV for your home theatre, it is an excellent choice due to its perfect black levels, brilliant colours (over 8 million self-illuminating pixels), impressive HDR brightness, and very solid image processing full of detail. Its nearly instantaneous pixel transitions, low input lag, and modern gaming features through HDMI 2.1 with 144HZ VRR with motion rate 200, also make it a great choice for console and PC gamers. The TV has 4 HDMI inputs, 2 of which are HDMI 2.1 and will run 120FPS depending on the source input. The TV also has a very wide viewing angle. The native panel refresh rate is 100HZ.

TV sound can vary a lot, but this model has a rich sound with reasonable bass levels and runs Dolby Atmos cinematic sound with Object tracking sound across the screen to the point where I have not felt the need to add a sound bar.

The TV has a very slim profile; the glass panel itself is approx. 4mm thick which was a bit disconcerting for me as it does flex a little if touched but it seems strong enough. The TV can be wall mounted and I would recommend you follow the manufacturers instruction about the type of wall bracket you use, but I opted to put it on a cabinet on the stand provided. The stand offers good stability but with grandkids running around, I also strapped the TV to the cabinet using straps bolted into the Vesa mount holes just for added security.

The TV runs with Samsung Tizen Operating system couple to Tizen Smart hub, which we are used to and works well for us. It has no problem downloading and adding all the streaming apps we use onto the hub front screen and the functionality for all of this is very responsive and works well.

The remote control supplied is the slim line Samsung version with solar cell on the rear to keep the battery charged in the remote. You can also plug it into a charger via Usb C connection on the bottom. The remote is very small and slim, which is ok, but my only gripe is that it does not have a numeric pad and you must scroll up and down the channels or put your commonly used channels into the favourites list, but it is not a deal breaker.

Once I set the TV up, I followed a review by a TV technical reviewer and re-tuned the TV for better results – there are plenty of sources of information to do this but I turned off all the Eco settings, auto contrast and brightness management systems along with a few other settings that all affect the picture outputs, most designed to save power and put the TV into eco and auto brightness adjustment modes and I found turning them off improves the picture quality and viewing experience to a noticeable degree. Most experts recommend setting the TV into Film maker mode but it does this automatically when watching HDR content – it gives very good results. I do not use film maker mode for non HDR viewing and it is still brilliant.

Have absolutely no regrets in buying this TV, its outstanding!

PROS: Perfect blacks in a dark room with no blooming around bright highlights; Very wide viewing angle for a consistent image from the sides; Good reflection handling means it handles glare in a well-lit room; HDR 10+ for life like colours and very high levels of detail and contrast; Very good cinematic sound and overall sound experience for a TV, with Dolby Atmos; 4 x HDMI inputs, 2 of which are HDMI 2.1 for 144hz gaming input with 120FPS; Screen colours are “life like” and not overblown, no “blooming” or “halo effect” at all; 4K upscaling of SD sources works well; Picture quality in a word is "Brilliant" CONS: Have not found any real cons with this TV, it is near perfect in most respects, but I would prefer the remote to have numeric buttons for selecting channels. I do have voice activated commands on the remote to call up the channel you want which does work reasonably well most of the time.

I have agonized for nearly 12 months in trying to find a replacement for the beautiful 15 “digital screen that I bought at Big-W years ago. … Read more

Eventually I settled on a Samsung 32” F6000FHD TV from the Good Guys.

I was so impressed with the quality and the colors that I went out and bought a 2nd one.

Like many people, we have travelled extensively and shot a lot of pictures for over 60 years.

We digitized most of our slides and print photos over a long period of time so that now everything can run through the tv screens via a USB stick.

But like so many slides and print photos plus our digital photos, some of these needed some touching up and to do this we downloaded a magic program for about $100 called Photomatix Pro 6.3 (64 bit).

We have now fixed up about 20,000 photos so far and are delighted with the end results.

I can’t speak too highly of the quality of this wonderful television that cost me approximately $500.

Our experience with Samsung support has been frustrating and unnecessarily drawn out. Our 55" Frame TV stopped working after 3 years. We followed… Read more

all troubleshooting steps on Samsung’s website and then booked a service through their recommended provider. A technician attended on 27 February, over time they identified faulty components, and repaired the TV at no cost. The TV is now working.

However, we paid a $193.40 service fee upfront and are still waiting to be reimbursed.

Since late February, we have contacted Samsung Customer Care multiple times. The process has been slow and inefficient — we’ve had to repeat information to different representatives, details have not been consistently retained, and promised follow-ups have not occurred.

I last spoke with Customer Care a week ago who were going to get back to me again, they haven't, last convesation I was told I shouldn't have to pay the service fee but, that the service provider should refund us, not Samsung. From a customer perspective, we followed Samsung’s process and used their authorised provider, so resolving payment between parties should not fall to us. We have had this issue for months and want you to respond and resolve it.

Under Australian Consumer Law, where a product fault is accepted and remedied at no cost to the consumer, any reasonable costs incurred in diagnosing that fault — including an initial service fee — should also be reimbursed.

We are simply requesting repayment of the $193.40. We would prefer to resolve this directly, but if this continues to drag on, we are prepared to escalate the matter further.

Samsung has missed the mark here on communication, accountability, and timeliness. We hope this can now be resolved promptly.

after a few years we said fk it. Along came Samsung and offered us a $300 trade in and $100 black Friday discount. We paid NZ$545 all up delivered. The Samsung is so easy to set up and pretty much does all that is needed itself. Picture and sound are great right from the start. Had to search a bit for the switch to have Bluetooth headphones and tv sound at the same time. For more detail just google the tv and read the AI review.

Really its just great, like our old one without a big green spot.

course I only bought this for my Kayo sport as I was watching Kayo on my laptop, as my son and mrs have taken over the main Samsung 65 inch LED TV in the lounge room that is a 10 years old TV, which is still going strong and I haven’t had any problems with that TV since new, that is why I always buy Samsung TVs, Smartphones SSD drives and ram as they make great quality products.. Hope I didn't jinx myself but so far all is good with this 43" Crystal UHD DU8000 4K TV and I'm very happy with it. I will as usual review this TV in about 6-12 months’ time and let everyone know how it pans out. But for $650 including delivery and for a 2024 smart tv this is great value.

forwarding or reversing a video, sometimes it can be 1-2 seconds to start playing again, but usually 5-10 seconds. it's really bad and annoying My last TV was a Samsung 50" UA50BU8000W and that responded in 0-1 seconds it's not internet speed, its the TV's responce time, Crunchyroll, Netflix, Amazon, all work perfectly and respond and play instantly when fast forwarding or reversing. Just on Youtube.

I am writing this bad review, because Samsung do not have any option to contact support and send them a message. So hopefully someone will see this.

chatGPT said this "You’re not imagining it — what you’re seeing can happen on newer Samsung TVs, and it doesn’t necessarily mean your new set is faulty. You’ve got the Samsung UA50M70HAWXXY, and the behavior you’re describing is usually tied to how the TV + YouTube app buffer and resume video, not just raw “speed”

Is this a known issue? Yes — variations of this have been reported across: Samsung Tizen TVs

I am a heavy Youtube watcher, more than all other apps combined by a mile, so this really annoys me.

You need to do better Samsung.
