Bought this oven four weeks ago from The Good Guys to replace an old oven under a cook top. It has a steam and air fry functions which are useful.… Read more

The front operating panel is limited and does not allow the oven lights to be switched on anytime although the phone app has the function (sometimes refuses to connect to app and needs a wifi reset which is frustrating). In my opinion its very painful to use, with so many ways and settings to configure, basic oven functions need to be readily available and easily configurable instead of the convoluted settings being used. The steam function builds a lot of steam pressure and when you open the oven door it literally subjects the face with hot pressurised steam with no warning. The construction appears flimsy for $3000+ oven with three separate relatively thin glass panels making up the door held by little pieces of plastic and rubber in between. The door panel does close straight seems like one section sticks out possibly because it’s tricky to align three separate glass panels. Big difference in construction quality from my old oven. The air fry tray warped out of shape with the oven heat (possibly too flimsy), doesn’t seem adequate for an oven of this price. On the positive side it does look good although improvements required to align this oven with the price in my humble opinion.

I bought two Bosch Series 8 Built in ovens when doing a house renovation in 2021. About 6 weeks ago, I woke up to a burning electric smell. I noticed… Read more

one of the ovens not working. Considering the strong smell of burning electricity, I thought it urgent and contacted Bosch. I explained the situation and asked for an urgent repair. The customer service arranged a call in over a week later - which firstly considered to not be an urgent response. Regardless, the technician came onsite and sure enough diagnosed the problem as a catastrophic failure. Said it was a 'near miss' and that he had never seen such an extreme failure before (photos provided). He put forward his report with the recommendation the the oven be replaced. That was a month ago. In that time, I've called Bosch several times to follow up. Was told on both occasions that I have a a case manager and the case manager will contact me within 24 hours. I'm still waiting. I have found the customer service of Bosch lacking and it's made me question Bosch products in the future, particularly as this product failure could have ha catastrophic outcomes for my family and I.

We acquired five esteemed Bosch kitchen appliances for my newly established kitchen, including a Steam Combi Oven, a Pyrolytic Oven, a Built-In… Read more

Coffee Machine, and two Warming Drawers. Of these items, the only one that functions correctly is the warming drawers; though we seldom use one, we hold it in high regard. The oven, mainly its steam function, has seen minimal usage. The coffee machine we utilise daily was the first to exhibit a touchscreen malfunction and was subsequently replaced under warranty. I was dissatisfied with paying an additional $800 to account for the price difference, as the original unit was no longer available, resulting in a disjointed colour scheme. Nevertheless, I am grateful to have my cherished coffee machine operational again. The second item that experienced a failure was the touchscreen of the Combi Oven. It was repaired under warranty just before the expiration of that warranty; despite my questions about what seemed to be a common issue with the touchscreens, I was assured it would work perfectly. Regrettably, shortly thereafter, it malfunctioned again, restricting our usage to only a few options as one side of the touchscreen became unresponsive. The Concierge Gold Service denied my claim, stating that the warranty had lapsed. Furthermore, our pyrolytic oven's touchscreen has failed, making it inoperable and now out of warranty. All five items were purchased on November 6, 2018, and I find it profoundly disappointing and distressing that they have not operated correctly for a minimum of ten years. The reason we chose Bosch was for the said quality and engineering. It is alarming that three of the highly rated, German-engineered Bosch units we acquired have all malfunctioned similarly; why has a known product recall not been initiated? Would someone be able to help us?
