boiling water for pasta etc.
Ours is the previous model and it has broken down four times in the past 5 years. Once during the two-year warranty period, and the repairs were fully covered by Bosch. Two of the other three times, Bosch agreed to pay for the replacements parts out of goodwill. The last time, Bosch refused to pay for parts or labour for the repairs. There's a photo of the broken heating element that we had to replace below - this was just regular oven use.
The first two repairs were related to the fan, the third was the control board and the fourth repair was one of the heating elements.

This Bosch appliance is rubbish and bad quality – The steels is of poor quality, easily marks and they are hard to remove. You will spend half your life cleaning the hobs. I have owned ILVE Smeg Miele and these are amazing. Run as fast as you can from this cooker.

BOSCH products and cleaned as per manual.
My previous stove which was 40+ years old was in better condition and I’ve had this one for just over a year but been frustrated with it since almost day one.

are no clear instructions as how to do it. I have to hire two gas plumbers and the third one was sent by bosch who charged me $169 and did not even fix the problem. After 2months of emails and correspondence i got the above mentioned money back with no results from gas stove. I had to put this task in airtasker to get it sorted out even that guy had hard time looking into youtube/call the technician from bosch and had to finally figure it out by himself needed different types of unscrewing tools and had to flip open the entire cook top to find the screw to lower the flame. As i mentioned before, now the cook top works fine, but all the high flame in the burner has caused tar build up, and no one believes it to be a new cooktop from this look.

service. The Bosch stove with a pyrolytic oven and 4 induction hotplates was made in Turkey which I wasn't entirely happy with; and eventually, I managed to operate the functions. The User Manual was hopeless and of little use. However my main reason for writing this review is to warn potential buyers from buying this product as the function buttons on the stove top are not illuminated. Gray on black has very little visual contrast and in order to see what I am doing i.e., increasing or decreasing the temperature, setting the timer and/or using the boost function, I have to get a torch to read the panel. I have under cabinet lighting but even these LEDs don't help me read the operators. As an ergonomist and familiar with product evaluations, I have to say this product in ergonomics terms is a great disappointment. Having to keep a torch near the hotplates is ridiculous.

Do not buy. Devastated at the quality. Horrified by their customer service – I bought this item last year. Yesterday I left a plastic spatula on the hot plate (has already been turned off but still hot). A few hours later I… Read more
found the melted spatula handle and was like… ah well. When I pick up the spatula I noticed the glass on the stove top has came off with it. I was pretty horrified and rang Bosch and said how come it’s so shockingly poor- have only used the stove top for 7 months?? So far they are claiming it’s purely a mis use on my part and not covered under warranty or any consumer law. I am contesting it, saying that when you pay 2-3 times above the cost of an average stove top you expect it to endure small mishaps. I told them I have used a cheap glass electric stove top and had all kinds of stuff melted on it but never has a piece of glass come off with it. Still the customer service rep and their managers don’t agree. I am waiting for their official written rejection before taking it up to consumer affairs.
