Good one – Because of small time of charge I have bought two of them. They both work well and I use them for the quick job in the middle of the day. However… Read more
would be nice if customers have access to spare parts, like the cloth wipe to buy, because they get dirty quickly and I bet I will need a replacement soon. May be I should sew it. :)

I purchased the MyGenie two years ago from Harris Scarfe. While it was still under warranty, they redirected me to the manufacturer when, after… Read more
roughly eight months, the vacuum started running in circles. After a lot of emails and fault-finding efforts, I eventually received a replacement unit at no cost, which I appreciated.
Unfortunately, about six months later, the same issue occurred. This time, I couldn't get a replacement since the warranty had expired. Additionally, the battery runtime is quite short, and it often gets stuck in areas where my other robot vacuum doesn't (yes, I have two—clean freak here!).

249$ Harris Scarfe. My only real complaint is with Harris Scarfe trying to tell me it was $990 off due to their grand opening. Trust me I knew the… Read more
deal wasn’t that good and I googled prices, but it’s a dodgy sales tactic none the less!! Ok back to the Bot!!! Most people are paying around $250 for it, so I don’t quite get the complainers who are going on about a lack of mapping functions. Well sorry robo vacs are routinely $1500-2500, so what do you want for your $250? The suction is brilliant at 1800Pa. Nice long brushes for skirting boards. Battery life is plenty long enough, and when it senses it’s going flat it will self dock which is funny to watch. It also slows down near furniture and people and speeds back up again when it’s no longer an obstacle. For something that is navigating by sheer guess work, I think it’s reasonably intuitive. It makes some odd decisions sometimes, like does half an area and then buggers off elsewhere, but it comes back and finishes the job! I’m not sure what programming that is but hey…again we are talking $249 on something that otherwise performs very well. I can see why mapping is important, I probably won’t let it run when im not home…mainly because if it gets into an area of the house I’m not prepared for, it might get some cables and the like…if it were mapped I could trust it to one area but this one really is a bit of a bump and go situation. But like I said it gets everything eventually and battery life is long enough for my medium sized house. Also does a good job on carpet. Now I hear they can glitch after a few months, I can’t speak to that but Harris Scarfe staff prewarned me and said a swap over with receipt is no issue. And apparently MyGenie customer care is good as long as you are contacting the correct country team. The mop wasn’t bad either! I mean it can only use the pressure it has in terms of the machine weight, but it’s great for an everyday clean. Long of the short, I work rotating shift, my husband also works dodgy hours, the vacuuming is the kids job and I can tell you that’s a term I use loosely, so the floors always looks rubbish till I get around to it. I now have floors that are always in a satisfactory condition for those surprise guests and for my own sanity. Moral of the story, expect a $250 product and you will NOT be disappointed. If you are paying $250 and expecting a Roomba….well sorry guys…that’s not how life is. If it does glitch in an unacceptable timeframe I will post. And yes I do plan to buy a mapping one in future but I think I’m happy enough now, so I’ll let this one live out its life expectancy and make sure I like robovac life without breaking the bank! As I said he doesn’t always make sense but let it go and it will do it all eventually, don’t expect to understand him on his first round or two lol! And if he gets flat as I said he will self dock…Suction very good though regardless. Although misses 90degree corners, but let’s face it, we are trying to fit a round peg in a square hole. The connectivity to phone was annoying but just follow the instructions and you’ll work it out. Personally I won’t be using that function anyway. All in all good purchase. Happy enough for the money, and thanks for making it this far if you did!

Initially loved this vacuum - the convenience, suction and the fact that most hair and animal fur didn't get caught around the roller. … Read more
Unfortunately, a year later it has a major problem. Hair and debris has become tightly wound around the part that allows the head to oscillate, and now the roller has completely stopped turning. When this happens, the vacuum shuts off and becomes unusable as a floor vacuum. It only works with the long nozzle attachment, which defeats the purpose. Unlike my previous Dyson, there’s no screw to open this section to remove debris and MyGenie doesn't sell replacement heads. I’ve even bought specialised tweezers to try and remove the trapped hair, but it’s inaccessible and impossible to properly clean. Overall it's become effectively useless for its main purpose.

Very handy little unit – This is a good little vacuum for a nice basic clean, it picks up cat hair and good on carpet or floor. I love it because my Shark upright doesn't get under furniture and cupboards where this does so for me it is very useful.

It cannot suck lighter ones including lints or small size dirt. Unsure if it's due to the power or design issue. Worst, the dirt can drop back during the process!
The litter holder lock one time was opened by itself which almost caused a mishap of rubbish falling out. However, it's inconvenient to empty it all.
