to hold the plastic blades with pliers to get a grip to attach a new one but that is a minor inconvenience.

breaking and freying. On the 3rd use I changed the cord to a thicker one and it worked great. The handle is a bit short for me as I am 180cm tall but I only use as an edger so no lifting or bending. For the price I think it is easy to use and works well and is quite light . It beats using our petrol one as I find it hard to use. I recommend this product for small jobs.

even replace them at all, because there are no replacement blades available in any Bunnings store, and apparently the manufacturer has ‘suspended’ them.

trouble getting a replacement. I purchased the Ozito PXC 36V 2 x 18V Brushless Line Trimmer and Brush Cutter after seeing feedback from others. After reading the user manual I came across the area where it informs you to change self lock nut every time you swap over to the brush cutter blade. I did a enquiry at Bunnings special orders and was told each replacement nut would cost $18 each. Because the box had not been opened yet and after hearing this running cost of $18 ever 2-3 times I use the brush cutter, this extra cost was too much and was about to return the item for a refund. I have since used the trimmer briefly with the line trimmer attachment and seems to work quite well, but have not used the brush cutter blade attachment as yet. One thing to keep in mind is the weight of the trimmer, and depending on what size of the 2 batteries you use, you could easily be carrying around 7-8kgs. This doesn't seem much but carrying a 8lt bucket of water around or having 8 1lt bottles of soft drink hanging around your neck for a while, and believe me you will feel it later. The weight does make it feel strong and well made to handle some punishment but compared with my older Ryobi the weight difference is very noticeable, so maybe go in store and hold up a few different brands on display first and see which feels best for you.
