I WOULD ADVISE TO STAY AWAY FROM THESE PEOPLE BASED ON MY CURRENT EXPERIENCE I am giving a 1-star for now because there are a lot of ongoing issues and I am having great trouble contacting and getting help from the service team (Name Removed). We installed in Cambrian Hill VIC in March 2026. My experience until the time of the installation was… Read more

very good. The team was easy to contact. The rate was very good and they kept their word.

The installer was not the best. He wanted to leave the place in a mess. I had to take photos and threaten with a complaint to have him remove the junk that he was planning to leave around including the boxes, nails, wire, paper and polythene. The installer also wouldn't help me with the app and I could not see if the system was working well before he turned it off.

The system was approved by powercor.

However, the system is faulty. We have a FOXESS EQ4800 system. It is AC coupled. It behaves very erratically and has tripped the mains switch on quite a number of nights. The battery charges and discharges to the grid unnecessarily. Charging at 20 cents per KWh and discharging at 1 cent to the grid. Also does not seem to sense the requirements of the house in self use mode.

They seem to think that the CT - clamp must have been installed incorrectly. They have also escalated to FOXESS who are apparently not taking service calls due to their current focus being on rebates and new connections. I have this in writing from them!

It costs more to keep the battery on than off. So I have disconnected it manually for now until they are prepared to sort it out.

The service team is awful. I was lied to. [Name Removed] mentioned that they had looked at the usage two weeks ago on one of his first calls. I had previously given them my logins. I asked him when and they said earlier in the week. However, I had manually disconnected and turned off the battery for the previous entire 7 days. There was no way that he could have looked at that data. So I did accuse him of being 'not very truthful'. It was quite disappointing to start a conversation like that.

The latest issue is that I received an email on 21st april that they had not received the inverter serial number and that they had suspended the requested changes to the connection. I forwarded it to the service team. I also called up powercor today and enquired. The installer has simply not bothered to respond.

I am very disappointed with the 1 stop solar service team. I have had a good experience until the time of installation.

I understand that there can be teething issues and I am happy to work through them. Its difficult when they are dishonest. However, if these issues are solved, I will update this review and may change to a good star rating.

I HAVE AN UPDATE - The installer has sent the serial number of the Foxess through. However, now there is no export. I spoke to Powercor and apparently, the installer has erroneously nominated the AC coupled Foxess battery inverter for the emergency backstop. Therefore, Powercor has deregistered my Sungrow inverters from the backstop. Hence, my export is limited to zero! Now, I have to ask my shifty installer to deregister the foxess and register the sungrow. Going by their previous enthusiasm, it is going to take about three more months before I have export. The battery issue is still not sorted. No communication regarding a timeframe for the installer to return to connect the CT Clamps or FOXESS company input. I will keep this update ongoing as things happen. VERY DISAPPOINTED FOR NOW

29th June - I have another update. I had an email from 1Stop solar that they have corrected their error with the nomination of the inverter for the emergency backstop. I received an email from Powercor too. However, I still don't have export. There is no word from them about the installer or when he would return to fix the clamps. In the meantime, the battery is off. It has been 4 months since installation - still no usable battery. I WOULD ADVISE TO STAY AWAY FROM THESE PEOPLE BASED ON MY CURRENT EXPERIENCE

The installation was OK, but I'm concerned about the wires hanging down from the panels. I first alerted them to the problem on 1 Oct 2025 and received a couple of phone calls saying it would be fixed, but I'm still waiting.

I engaged One Stop Solar following what initially appeared to be a straightforward sign-up process. Throughout the early stages, there were numerous assurances made; however, some of the communication was vague, and I was even advised to disregard certain parts of the contract. Despite these concerns, I proceeded due to the approaching STC cut-off… Read more

date.

Prior to installation, communication was inconsistent and conducted via various unverified WhatsApp numbers rather than formal company channels. The evening before installation, I received a call requesting full upfront payment—this was not in line with the agreed contract terms. I chose not to escalate at that stage, intending to address it on the day of installation if necessary.

On installation day, subcontractors arrived in unmarked vehicles. While they were generally polite, communication was challenging at times due to language barriers. After confirming the installation location, work commenced; however, damage was caused to my external brickwork due to poor drilling practices.

Partway through the installation, I received a call from the company stating that additional payment was required. Initially, I was advised of an approximate $700 increase, which was attributed to the installation of a sub-board. However, this work was never carried out, and despite this, the company has refused to refund the amount charged for it.

Further to this, I was told additional cabling was required. This was highly concerning, as the system was installed in close proximity to the switchboard, and the total cable run was approximately 7 metres. Despite this, I was told an additional 35 metres had been used, followed by escalating demands for further payment—first approximately $700, then an additional $500—under threat that the installers would abandon the job.

Shortly thereafter, the installers informed me they had been instructed to stop work, remove installed components, and leave the site. I attempted to resolve the situation by contacting the company, but was passed between multiple individuals using different phone numbers, with no clear accountability or consistent explanation provided. Ultimately, I felt compelled to make the additional payments under pressure while the installers remained on-site, monitoring confirmation of the transaction.

The entire experience was highly stressful and, in my view, reflective of poor communication, lack of transparency, and questionable business practices.

Following installation, the situation has continued to deteriorate. I am now receiving further unsolicited WhatsApp messages requesting photos of the installation and battery system, reportedly for STC documentation, although no clear explanation has been provided. Additionally, the company has refused to supply the Certificate of Compliance (COC) despite repeated requests.

I also have concerns regarding potential unauthorised access to the inverter, as I have experienced communication faults that appear to coincide with these requests. As a result, I have lodged a complaint with the Clean Energy Council and the inverter manufacturer, and I intend to escalate this matter further with relevant authorities.

I will also be uploading photos of the installation so others can assess the quality of work themselves

Was impressed by the sales person whom I dealt with from choosing the battery until installation. His name Fin, he walked with me, very patient and passionate about his work. If it wasn’t for him, I would not have chosen 1 stop solar. There is one gentleman whom I think needs training on handling of clients, he was just after money and his approach was terrible, just to use a better word. The installation went well. Show details

1 Stop Solar team installed FOX ESS EQ 4800 L9 battery with a 10KW FOX KH10 single-phase inverter, the system was AC coupled to my existing 5KWstring inverter Finn helped with the quotation process with full transparency and provided the most competitive pricing available. coupling of batteries, he even consulted with the installer to ensure accurate and reliable information. Both Finn and Brett also gave guidance on potential future upgrades, like upgrade and adding more solar panels with DC coupling could maximize capacity and reduce conversion losses.

During installation, the team clarified on battery locations and installation guidelines in Victoria , rewired the switchboard for blackout protection, they also fitted a bollard and smoke alarm, as the system was installed in my garage. The worksite was left spotless, reflecting a clean and highly professional installation from start to finish of the process

1Stopsolar installed a 32Kwh battery to our existing system. well. The installation team were great, worked quick and left the place tidy afterwards. The app to monitor is really easy to use and after a couple of days it’s easy to see your usage patterns and change the battery settings to meet my specific needs. I have recommended to several colleagues at work and neighbours have asked about the performance as they too have solar but no battery. I did ask for a quote on a few extra solar panels to compliment my existing panels but they weren’t interested at the time. All up a good outcome.

find amazing. I’m able now to see how much power I’m generating and how much I’m using. This is one of the best decision I’ve made, it’s always difficult to know who to go with when you’re paying out so much money but I did my homework which took quite awhile,I might add but I chose 1 Stop Solar as they stood out from the crowd really feel lucky that I’d chosen them they’ve also contacted me since I’ve had it in to see how it’s all running, I haven’t had any problems at all. And would recommend them to anybody. The other thing I liked about them is they explain everything to you I needed to know how it all worked, their expertise and their knowledge was incredible, and most of all could explain it in a way where I could understand how it all worked which was very important to me.

I cancelled the battery installation after the company demanded full payment ($6,200) prior to installation. A representative named Max had initially offered a 50/50 payment arrangement — half before and half after installation — but then threatened to forcibly enter my property and repossess the battery if I did not comply. Following this threat, I ended the call and cancelled the installation.

I accepted 1 Stop Solar’s offer in December and paid my deposit on 6 January. again, advised they couldn’t complete the installation, and then refused to reimburse any of my travel costs. To make matters worse, they also mentioned possible price increases, even though the delays were entirely on their side. This was extremely unprofessional. Repeated assurances, broken promises, poor communication, and zero accountability. I would strongly recommend avoiding this company.
