Never use this company. Problems with battery and system being non-complaint. Customer service is extremely poor, unprofessional and rude. After install, the company promises support (part of the contract), but this does not occur. Our compliant has been managed poorly by management. We went through the entire process in good faith, only to be strung along for months with repeated promises of installation dates that never eventuated. Every enquiry turned into another excuse, another transfer to a different department, or another staff member who was supposedly “unavailable.” Nobody ever took responsibility, and despite countless assurances that someone would call us back, nobody ever did.

The level of communication and customer service has been absolutely appalling. We wasted hours chasing answers, repeating ourselves to different people, and getting nowhere. It felt like once the money was paid, we no longer mattered.

We eventually cancelled our contract out of sheer frustration and repeatedly requested the return of our deposit. Even that has turned into another drawn-out battle, with ignored emails, no follow-up, and no refund received.

This has been one of the most frustrating and unprofessional experiences we’ve dealt with. Plenty of polished sales talk upfront, but once you’re signed up, the service completely falls apart. We absolutely would not recommend dealing with this company.

understand all the tech language! The coordination between different departments was also great - I got emails back promptly from the tech department at 1Komma 5 and they dealt with my concerns transparently and I felt like I was being heard.

The install guys were absolutely brilliant, they get 5 stars. 1komma5 gets 3 stars, I feel as though I may have made a huge error in engaging 1KOMMA5 for our solar upgrade. been sent a bill for $2500 over and above our original accepted quote. It's been an interesting ride to say the least.

I was offered a FREE upgrade after the first debacle (10th March, wheel fell off the installers trailer whilst travelling on the highway). After an initial call to try and have our install done on a Saturday, nobody bothered to contact me to let me know that you couldn't find anyone to do an install on a Saturday. Fast forward approx. 30 days, I sat on the phone ON HOLD for over 1 hour to the customer service number, in the end I hung up and called your bookings team, only waited 5-10 minutes on hold there, only to be told that we had to wait until late April for our install. That is when the 1komma5 representative said that they were approved to offer a panel upgrade for free. The representative was under the impression that the panels were damage when the wheel fell off the trailer. I informed her that the installer had said to me that nothing was damaged.

21st April install was cancelled because somebody on the install team had to fly back to NZ for a family issue. Then finally after another reschedule 28th April, panels are installed after a scanning issue. So, either they put the larger panels on or we had no solar system and our older system was already removed by this stage. The installer said that usually when the panels won't scan, they have been discontinued/superseded. 1komma5 would have known prior to the install that the panels would be an issue or are the people in their warehouse incompetent.

For each install date, that was missed by them, I had rearranged my working schedule to be at home on those dates. I don't appreciate losing my annual leave days like this.

Yes I have emailed them in regard to the bill that has been sent to us.

I have not setup their Heartbeat Ai, it has some really mixed reviews on it's functionality and actual battery/system management capabilities. It allegedly also does not reflect the system status accurately. I also prefer to be in control of our solar.

UPDATE: I have been contacted multiple times from 1KOMMA5 to pay a bill that doesn't exist. I have sent the proof of payment 3 times now to 2 different people. They even sent it to a debt collection agency, despite being sent proof of payment.

The system is working perfectly (so far) their app works seamlessly and monitors the system nicely.

encountered issues, which despite numerous & repeated contact they fail to remedy. The independent assessor identified the damage & alerted both myself & 1 Komma5. (Still waiting for a fix) (mid Jan install) Our handover was rushed, late on a Friday evening on a hot day, the installer wanted to leave and assured me that once the independent assessor gave his ok & the batteries were switched on, then a full handover would occur. Naturally, disappointingly, it still has not. We are also still not re-connected for excess supply to go the grid, and our power supply company have emailed, asking our contractor, (1Komma5) to contact them to sort out the issue. (Waiting) 1Komma5 are great at getting you a quote. Their installation staff, (sub contractors), were polite, friendly & punctual. The afterservice care is non existent, because the money has been banked & they're onto their next project. Whilst we were assured that our customer service, back up, review, ongoing relationship would be fantastic, I'd describe it a terrible. We'll keep waiting. Sending in emails to a central server who log our issue, but never action it. If you're looking for a battery company or a renewable energy service / installer company, my advice, is don't waste your time, effort or money with 1Komma5. This foreign owned company with their local staff certainly don't care for us, why would they care for you!

They taught me some stuff about it, the power board breakers which were rearranged, reset my hot water service timer to a more suitable time and got me started with the apps. I suppose I'll know more about product reliability and longevity in time and though the guarantees are in place for what I think is a good amount of time I won't know until I get there. Signed on to Amber for power supply and the app gives me pretty easy to understand info. There is a second app that also tells me things like battery temperature, how full it is and power consumption. About 4 days in now and the app is telling me I'm about 98% self-sufficient. Weather has been patchy. Some people seem confused about the app but it seems pretty straightforward. I can't see myself looking to sell from my battery according to price spikes but I'll see when the app alerts me that it's a good time to sell. I'll know more when the billing cycle kicks in and I'm not expecting it to do miracles but it does reassure me that what I'm using from the grid is pennies and if the grid blacks out I'll keep going for at least a while.

Their advice was absolutely useless. They prioritised saving their own costs over my needs. For instance, they told me to keep my old system to "produce more electricity", but THEY JUST WANTED TO SAVE THEMSELVES THE COST OF REMOVAL & DISPOSAL. The old system was obviously too old and was not even compatible with the new one. This is only one of many pieces of useless advice they gave me, be very careful people, don't spend your hard earning money and get headaches. My project COST OVER $30000 and I’ve had nothing but trouble since the installation. I hope nobody else has to go through the nightmare I experienced. I sent them an official complain and never get a reply. Stay away if you want peace of mind.
