been cleaned, the main curtains had some sort of treatment but were so crinkled that they look hideous, not to mention that the lounge curtains had blood stains, hooked and would you believe it even bird sh*t on them. I urge anyone and everyone "AVOID THIS COMPANY"

called to say she had arrived (3 hours early) and I need to let her in as she was told the appointment was at that time. She got in, realised we were doing up the place for sale, and made up an unconvincing story about how it would actually be $500, knowing we needed it done. I said no thanks we’ll get another quote then, but she aggressively said there would be a cancellation fee. Had a 4 month old baby with me so did not want to argue with her in my apartment. It was distressing and I just wanted her out. When I called my husband for his thoughts she suddenly dropped the price to $440.
She tried to leave without issuing the invoice but I followed her to her van and made sure to get one. The workmanship was poor, (20mins max of work, she left a mess from ripping up carpet in the wardrobe to replace the small damaged strip, didn’t clean up after herself at all, leaving me to do it) and the invoice was from “Shieldmate Cleaning and Pest”.
Looked up the ABN on the invoice afterwards and it’s full of complaints of them being dodgy and opportunistic.
Please please beware everyone.
Follow-up · - they said the price change was due to the carpet repair being at a doorway rather than in the middle of room. This was ridiculous as the photo sent for the initial quote showed this location already. - repair was for frayed carpet at doorway - they ghosted me after I tried to let them know via the original email and phone number, a clear sign of dodginess.

was incredibly pushy, insisting that I already knew, so my partner didn't have to call me, but thankfully she did anyway. I called the office lady to find out what was going on, and she was also really pushy and tried to claim it was a miscommunication and I had to pay more for the flea treatment, but I had received the quote in writing and stuck to only paying the $390, however the promised receipt was never sent, and when my partner returned to the house, the technician was gone, carpets were soaking wet and there was a green goo on the kitchen bench. I'm looking at potentially having to get it recleaned and treated now to be able to show the landlord the proper receipt.
Save yourself the time, money and stress by walking away. Do not use this company.

were double folded, the total was 90m2 (or $1260), rather than the 65m2 (or $846) they originally quoted. In email communications prior I hadn't been advised or instructed in how the curtains should have been measured - I simply took the length and width of the curtains across the windows - as most people unfamiliar with the process would. In the emails and calls I had with the company, the type or style of the curtains was not raised as a factor that might affect pricing.
Once the issue with the quote was brought to my attention on site, the contractor on site applied pressure to proceed with the service, despite it being $400+ more than I had been expecting. I advised him that as I had not budgeted the additional money he was asking that I would prefer to suspend the service as it was not as had been quoted. At this point he told me that he had a call-out fee that he required to be paid by me before he left. After some back and forth, where I expressed my dissatisfaction at being the one requiring to pay a fee, I relented and paid the $120. This payment had a real 'shakedown' feel to it as I certainly wasn't advised at any time, in writing or verbally, that if the service did not proceed that I would be required to pay this amount to the contractor. I would also note that I have not yet been provided a receipt for the call-out fee, which was payable to another company (Shieldmate?).
At the end of all this I am $120 down and still have curtains that require cleaning. Lesson learned - be warned!
Total waste of money rip of company We had treatments by them for bed bugs and the bed bugs got back within a week, we did a second treatment with them and it was unsuccessful. Further more useless customer service bad phone line and they totally avoided me when I tried to call them back to sort the situation out. stating to the technician that the job is not completed properly. Do not use this business, they also go under the name of Shieldmate, Majhail Truckers, 1st choice movemate, Safe Cleaning Services. When I called and asked to speak with a manager the person put me on hold and said they would get a manager and then the same person answered the phone pretending to be the manager. I said that they were the same person and they advised that the manager is not contactable. Sent emails, made further phone calls and they pretend to not be able to hear you and hung up and also do not respond to the emails. When I contacted the company, they argued and told me to clean it myself or get my husband to. They eventually agreed to return to fix their mess and finish the job—but they never showed up to finish the job and have ignored all further attempts to contact them. I was even left on hold indefinitely when I finally got through by phone.
I would not recommend this company to anyone. Unprofessional, unsafe, and completely unresponsive.
These guys are scammers, did a really bad job on my carpets and they were left soaking, left puddles of water on the lino, accidently smashed a vase but failed to mention it to me. Please steer clear, they go by various names and phone numbers. Shieldmate cleaning and pest control is another name they use.
Trades under many names including shieldmate . Absolutely horrendous service! Did not come at the right day or time, had the worst body odour we have ever smelt in our lives and then proceeded to charge my husband an extra $400.

to tell me there will be an additional fee because it was a double story house (nowhere was I asked this at the time of booking). This was for an end of lease carpet clean. His machine honestly looked like one from Woolies. He didn't vacuum first. He didn't make an attempt to get any of the stains out of the carpet (I was able to remove them myself with supermarket carpet cleaner after he left). The carpets looked exactly the same when he was done - there were none of those tell-tale stripes you see when you've had your carpets steamcleaned. And it didn't smell like my carpets had been cleaned - in fact it smelled bad. I don't know what he got on my carpets via his manky machine. This is a dodgy fly by night operation.
SCAM. Operates under name Humane Possum Removal. and they said we’d been provided with bait stations that were too small for rats to access and probably cost $5 from Bunnings and the Possum trap was pointless as there were zero entry points for possums to get into our roof. When I contacted the company they said “we told you it was mice” which was a total lie. AVOID AT ALL COSTS
Booked a clean of a 3seat sofa - misleading pricing “it is $20 extra and then is billed $60 - $20/seat”, only half the sofa was cleaned (only one side of cushions and missed the back, sides and front), and the parts that were cleaned still have marks.

Stay away from this company. I was totally taken for a ride. Charged an exorbitant amount to have bedroom curtains and carpets steam cleaned. It was nearly a week ago and the bedroom carpets are still wet. The woman said that she had special chemicals for the curtains to kill mould. They are worse than ever and will need to be replaced. When they finally answered, they simply said they were “on their way,” but there was no real update on when they would actually arrive.
Despite our agreement on a set time, they then claimed that the booking was within an 8 AM - 10 AM window, which was never mentioned before. At this point, there was no longer enough time to complete the job, so I had to cancel.
Terrible service, dishonest scheduling, and zero accountability. Do not trust this company!

As a young woman, I felt pressured into agreeing to the higher price and paid it, only to be completely disregarded when I questioned the work.
Do not trust this business. They also operate under various names, including First Choice Cleaning and Pest, Shieldmate Cleaning and Pest, and likely others. This is a complete scam, and I strongly urge others to stay far away.
Worst experience – My rug has been returned and it doesn't look like the rug has been cleaned at all. on site for $120 (by email) a woman from a company called Sheildmate came at the appointment time, inspected the rug and told me I needed to pay $100 via bank transfer for it to be collected and cleaned with a machine off-site. Reluctantly, I paid the fee and she gave my a number to call for collection and said it would be 1 week for cleaning.
There wasn't any initial answer from the phone number I was given and when I asked for my deposit back, as things didn't feel official, the woman quickly made arrangements for it to be picked up and a second phone number called me to set up a time for collection.
Upon pick up, the driver told me that I would need to pay $200 for the rug to be cleaned. I explained that I had already paid $100 and he said he would organise an invoice. He also said it would take 2 weeks for cleaning. I received an invoice via email. It had Sheildmate logo on it and an ABN. I had already paid $100, so I did a second payment of $100 to meet the amount on the invoice.
I was told cleaning would take 1 week, then the driver said 2 weeks and it was 3 weeks before my rug was returned only after I sent a text asking where the rug was. When the driver returned the rug, he requested a further $100 from my husband which thankfully he didn't pay,
We are now out of pocket $200 and have a rug we can't use at all because of the urine on it. It wasn't even that dirty to begin with but we were moving house and I wanted it to be fresh for the new location. Don't be pressured to pay anything up front. This company is the worst. I have followed up via email and text with no response.

outrageous price, I expected top-notch service, but instead, the rug was left soaking wet, and the cleaning job was mediocre at best. I feel completely ripped off and taken advantage of. Terrible waste of money – Way overpriced for "work" done. No stains cleaned from rug but charged $60 for 5 minute vacuum .(sprayed first). No scrubbing done on tiled area .(only mopped.).Wished I had done my research beforehand and resisted the hard sell on the phone. WASTE OF MONEY!
Ghost – I am another victim of this scam company. They underquote then say a higher cost is needed on arrival. The person conducting my clean claimed to be asking their boss for an updated price. At the end of the clean when they claimed that they needed to add gst, but then queried why it wasn't included in the initial price they decided that their boss said they didn't need to charge me gst. HORRENDOUS EXPERIENCE! – WARNING DONNOT US THIS COMPANY ITS A SCAM! HORRENDOUS! Wet everything around the room including tv and soundbar and floors drenched. Couch not even clean and wanted extra for ‘loose cushions’- the back of the couch! Only gave one star because cannot give zero.
Stay away from these scammers! – Terrible! Do not go near this company. They operate under various business names, and I actually contacted them through a website “Rejuvenate upholstery cleaning”. They under quote online and then try to charge more than double once they arrive. Aggressive Indian lady did a woeful job of our couch cleaning, didn’t vacuum properly first, left the floors wet afterwards, and was rude and abrasive. Stay away!
