Absolutely fantastic – After having a bowed pelmet installed before Xmas. A1 blind’s contacted me to let me know they would replace it after Xmas holidays. True to their word, they sent Brad the installer around to replace the pelmet and straighten the blind. It now looks fantastic and we couldn’t be happier with the job they have achieved. Didn’t clean the mess – Outdoor blinds installed yesterday however the men didn’t clean up after themselves. Dust and residue left all over the window sills, portico tiles, pavement and garden. Fingerprints also left over the pelmets. The bars the blinds slide up and down on were also scratched. Not sure if this is as a result of the operation of the blinds or they arrived this way. Show details

No equipment to install blinds in living room (no joke) – Yesterday an A1 Blinds agent phoned me to tell me that he doesn’t have equipment to install blinds in my living room. He went on to explain the nature and function of windows and said that it’s ok to ignore VCAT orders to the landlord to bring the house up to minimum standards by providing window coverings to all living room windows. there’s no point in arguing with VCAT when VCAT is not in the room (and, by implication, offered to argue with him AT VCAT) he took offence and hung up. Apparently he then concocted some story about “not enjoying the phone call” or something.

Today A1 Blinds said in email that the type of blind the property manager requested wasn’t fit for purpose. That doesn’t explain the gaslighting though.

In my experience, people who seek to subvert the law in one area will do so in others; people who treat one person badly without provocation will treat others badly. I do not recommend A1 Blinds.

Marketing hype doesn't match the the reality – I called to get a quote to replace a number of blinds, having heard their ad's and reviewed their website here is a company that talks and would seem to get the customer service ethos. Sadly the reality is far from it, a call was met with a we don't service that area, I mean 3km from the CBD!! No mention on their website of restricted area's of service. A1 products and service – Have bought external canvas blinds for our house from this company for over 20 years. Most recent work completed by A1 Blinds was to convert some existing blinds to electric control. Work always completed to a high standard. Reasonable prices and good service. Would continue to use this company in the future and recommend to others.
