This afternoon i took a CF Moto 675SR for a test ride. this bike is Amazing i thought i would never say this but for the price of the bike it shocked me on power and handling plus breaking power. i would like to thank the saleman SAM for his outstanding professionalism for get me to put a leg over the bike and take it for a run. thank you A1 and Sam
Purchase of a motorcycle – I can't speak too highly of the experience I had with A1 motorcycles. Dealing with John was a pleasure and the guys in spare parts were so helpful. I haven't ridden a bike in a lot of years, so was nervous about it. Bought a 2nd hand Royal enfield interceptor 650 and it's fabulous. Bought all mew gear - helmet, gloves. jacket and boots from A1. Got a great deal. I would gladly recommend anyone to go to A1. The whole process was so easy.

The worst experience ever buying a bike – a1 motorcycles have to be the doggiest in the business. I saw a Honda CBF 1000 on bike sales and went to a1 Ringwood to look at it. Only 18,000 k's on the clock, and looked pristine. I asked the sales guys questions, and discovered the previous owner stopped riding it and let it sit in the shed for a few years. I asked what they had done to it,… Read more
they told me the tank had been cleaned and a new pump and filter fitted. They said the bike had only done 1000 k's sine its last service, so they didn't change the oil or filters. I am a mechanic, so decided I can do all it needs service wise. I took the bike home, rode ok, then on the weekend, went for a long day ride with a mate. When I stopped to fill the tank I noticed rust inside. Shortly after that the bike started to have starting problems. I removed the tank, emptied the fuel that was left inside, and found it to be orange. I got a torch and had a look inside and it was totally rusted out. I tried to disconnect the fuel hose by loosening the banjo bolt, but it was just seized tight. I removed the pump and filter still attached to the hose and it was all gummed up with rust. See attached photos. I contacted the shop owner, [Name Removed] via Facebook messenger and he contacted the shop manager to get in touch with me, and he did via e-mail, and I sent him the photo's. He acknowledged the tank cleaning job was not done properly and said but the pump was new, I am very skeptical. I mentioned that the coolant had been also leaking at the thermostat and he said that the mechanic tightened the bolts when he saw it. The coolant is still all over the area and not cleaned. He told me he sacked the mechanic. He gave me their head mechanics number to make an appointment to bring the bike in. I rang the mechanic and he said to bring it in a week from that day. I told him the tank is off the bike and the bike has starting issues, so I would have to put it on a trailer. I decided to clean the tank myself, that way I would know it was done properly. I asked the shop owner if he would pay for the Evapo rust and injector cleaner, a total of $139.90 as I saved them time and money doing it myself. He said yes, and agreed to pay me and asked me to send my bank details. As yet I have received no payment. I e-mailed him again to be sure he got my bank details, but have had no answer. Like all other bad reviews, the sales people were very nice til after they got the money, then no response or offers to assist. Absolute shonk's, never do business with them again and I hope this review warns many people to stay away. Had to give a star rating to post my review, I would have preferred no star.

Finally a decent vehicle dealer – I have dealt with A1 motorcycle dealership buying a new Royal Enfield Classic 350 after being let down or looked down on by other brands big dealerships and found it fantastic. No frills, no nonsense, did what they said they will when they said they will. Price given was great and they actually found the time and interest to talk to a customer… Read more
whilst they were having lunch. Not once been disappointed or lied to, and their after sale care is still going strong. Will definitely be a repeat customer. Thank you Les and John.
THEY TREATED ME LIKE A VIP CUSTOMER, NOT A NUMBER! – In November 2018 I start to shop for a new bike, I start by calling many companies and when I got to speak to John from A1 motorcycle I felt that he was very accommodating and treated me with utmost respect making me feel very comfortable and also like a VIP customer. Not like the other big companies like Peter Stevens that I had a bad situation… Read more
where I went there to test ride a motorcycle and was pretty much treated with total disregard, I felt like I was treated like a thief and no someone with the money to buy a new bike; I’ve also noticed that people at Peter Stevens are very snobbish, it looks like they don’t really care until you pull the credit card or cheque to pay for their products, from this point on wards they change dramatically! When was taking the bike another guy come to tag along and I could only do a small trip around the block, something I didn’t like and felt again like I had someone over my shoulder to check me out, so I ended up giving up the test ride and leaving the premises in Dandenong. The other problem with that company is the price, they do really pump their price very high, I’ve noticed that their bikes were something between 1k to 3ks more than you get in the market, but because I got one bike from them in the past, and the service at the time was good, I thought I try again, but this time I was very disappointed and left the premise feeling like it was a total waist of my time. I got in touch with John and from the word go, we connected, he was as I’ve said, very accommodating and the conversation was very friendly; I actually felt like it was a chat I was having with a very nice friend, and not a stranger! John invited me to go there and test ride the bike, this was a Thursday, so I rocked up there at the A1 motorcycles for a test ride. The meeting was very nice and easy, we talked about my beloved CBR1000rr, how it looks and so on, he noticed also that my forks were leaking so he offered me to get it fixed as I wasn’t ready to get the bike right away and having to use my bike for a month, he thought it was dangerous for me to ride my bike, again he showed concern for my wellbeing and that was very nice! I decided to get my bike fixed there as the price he quoted me was impossible to miss on, so I did what have to be done! We then went inside the A1 Shop to see his stock, I was after a CRF1000 Africa Twin, yes I know the bike is amazing, and yes, I am now a proud owner of this gorgeous sexy looking beat! John come o me and handed me the motorbike keys and told me I could take it, I didn’t understand first because I had such a bad experience with many of the calls I’ve made and also the Peter Stevens issue, so I wasn’t expecting this kind of treatment; John got my license o do the normal paper work, explain it to me how the beast work and told me that I could go! How come I could go? He didn’t ask me when I had to bring the bike back so I’ve asked him when I should return the bike? John said to me to keep it for the weekend and enjoy it; I couldn’t believe I was actually hearing these words, so I asked him if I could really have the bike for a weekend? John again just told me: Yeah Edson, just keep it and enjoy it, I trust you and I know you’ll look after! At that moment I knew I was going to get the bike from him, here am I getting out of the shop with a gorgeous 21k bike without no hang-ups, no concerns, it was like a normal thing for John, like something he have done before. So I used the bike overnight and when I return next day I want to try a manual gear box, not the DCT system, again John said: Yeah Edson, take this other one and enjoy it, no problems! I took another ATA and left and spent about 3 hours riding and love it, that was the bike for me. I left the A1 motorcycle with this amazing feeling of being well looked after, John was straight forward with me and very helpful in my decisions. I left Australia to Mexico returning to Australia in December, John told me that I shouldn’t be worried because he was looking after me when I was ready to get the bike. In December I returned there and we set to discuss the price of my old CBR1000rr, I got the price that I want, not like the other’s who kept drawing the blood of me downing the price of my bike to make me feel my beloved bike was worthless, something I knew it wasn’t as I always looked after my baby. I gave John a figure and he said ok, no stress, just like that! Now we have to get the ATA, again john reduced the price by almost 2k for me and that was priceless, I also got a new helmet to go with the new sexy lady, and again he gave me a cost price on the helmet which was fantastic. I got out of there very happy and with this nice special feeling that he really showed that he cares and that taking care of a customer is the best business policy. Today I feel this deep feeling of gratitude for the guys from A1 motorcycling, they are all very nice, very friendly who take their time to make you happy, people who have that business concept of the past that, where you were treated in a very special manner. Did I tell you that I also got a nice Africa Twin T-shirt as a freebie? Thanking all the crew of A1 motorcycles and specially John for being such nice guy. Cheers to all of you, and don’t change your way of doing business

Negative reviews
Be careful – Fiona replied to my ad selling a secondhand bike and inferred at least to me anyway that we agreed on a price. After I shuffle my day around he fronts up with $500 less. Maybe it was a misunderstanding? If it was it would be the first time I’ve ever had one like this selling anything in my 40 years on earth
Psychopathic Behaviour – In my 58 years on earth I have never been told to f&$k off out of my shop by any business owner. I purchased a bike a few months old, purchased at A1 Motorcycles. The original owner and I went to get the warranty transferred and I would continue getting the servicing there. It became apparent that the owner either didn’t know the process or wanted… Read more
to help. He offered to write my details in my owners manual. I said I was capable of doing that but asked why his Manager, (who was away) said it was an easy process and has done it before, could do it and he wouldn’t even try. He then exploded into a rage and started pushing and shoving me and said “F$&k off, out of my shop”. The guy I purchased the bike off was apologising and was embarrassed by this behaviour because he suggested to do this process. I was relieved to see what the culture of this business was run like. How could I trust this business owner to service my bike when he cares nothing about customer service. He was all smiles and charm until he realised there was no immediate financial benefit. If his attitude represents what Honda Australia thinks represents them, it’s time to seek out a brand that has customer service.
Wrost customer service – Bought a new bike from A1, my first time buying a Brand new bike as i always brought 2nd hand because I can't afford it. From the start nothing has gone right, got the worst service from the fiancé guy than the guys got my mobile number wrong and the list goes on from there …. A1 has left a negative experience purchasing new bike. As a goodwill… Read more
gesture, I was a given a free first service after the owner admitted the wrong doing from his staff.
First service was completed and I was picking my bike, First they lost my service booklet and looking around to find it than I found to overspray lubrication all over the fuel tank. Nobody in the service department bothered to come out and see what has happen after complaining.
Took the bike around to the owner to show him in what state, I have received my new bike after being there for its free service.....
The owner thinks FREE service means we can spray crap all over fuel tank on a Brand new bike....and demanded that I pay for the service plus he overcharged me for the service as well which I later found out so I paid for a crappy service and walked out !
THE WROST CUSTOMER SERVICE I HAVE EVER RECEIVED.
I recommend don't bother spending your money with this Dealership. I used to recommend this dealership to everyone as my pervious experience has been fantastic. NEVER AGAIN !!
They have lost me as a customer.....

A1 Motorcycles - 2007 Honda CBR1000RR *Failed Service* – I recently went to A1 Motorcycles after seeing some good reviews. After a few phone calls they got my favourite machine in the door for what I thought was a simple service. On the phone and again when I dropped the bike off I asked for an oil change, coolant flush and chain and sprocket change. 2wks before I turned up i supplied what type of bike… Read more
it was and the VIN incase they needed parts (I even said if they want the part numbers for the exact parts I wanted I could also supply them). Anyway, they had it for 5days. When I returned to pick it up the first thing i notice is its filthy. Covered in oil spatter, fingerprints and sticker glue. When asked what was done as I noticed the chain and sprockets hadn't been done they said some crap on OEM measurements and an oil change and that the coolant is 50%. I am not a professional bike mechanic but when you do an annual service you would expect especially when you are directly asked that your bike comes back 100%. $320 for an oil change which I am confident I have to do again anyway as there isn't enough oil in it when bike is upright on level ground looking through the sight glass on the case. I didn't get anything that I asked for and was charged a stupid amount of money. My advice, go somewhere else. My bike 2007 CBR1000RR, it's very common and this should have been an easy job... thanks A1 Motorcycles you've lost me forever, pathetic so called Moto mechanics.
Impressed – I visited A1 Motorcycles on the 25th of Jan, despite being under staffed because of the public holiday next day, l was greeted by the owner of the company. Nothing was too much trouble , his knowledge of the stock is outstanding. Anyone looking to purchase a motorcycle needs to at least give A1 a look. Show details
Look elsewhere for mechanical services – Had my bike in there for a clutch repair and was called and told that it was fixed. Turned up to collect the bike and received two separate explanations regarding the problem and the fix - neither of which sounded convincing. Got on the bike and the clutch immediately failed again which brought on another round of bogus excuses. They had they bike… Read more
for a total of 3 weeks with the only communication coming from my end - each time the response was " I thought <insert name here> had rung you". Finally got the bike back to find that clutch fluid has been sprayed on plastic parts which has left them marked and stained. Communication is poor, explanations are dubious and customer service is average at best. I won't be back.
Purchased a bike – Absolute legends at A1 motorcycles in Ringwood. Les from sales was straight to the point and organized purchase and delivery for the bike I wanted, within 2 days the bike was at my door step, quick, easy and reliable people at A1. Disappointed with Accidental repair. Look elsewhere for Repairs & Service – Hi all, The sales team is great and easy to work with. Very friendly team and the purchase was super easy. On May 2020 I had an accident and took my Kymco like scooter to A1Mototcycles thinking they would be the best to repair it. Boy was I wrong. from overseas due to COVID; which I understand. A lot has changed. Then they kept giving me a fortnight wait time and then monthly. Its gonna be October now and no signs of any progress.
They can’t give me any eta and I can’t take the scooter else were because they have ordered the parts. Registration and Insurance payments are due in a few weeks and I haven’t even used it for half a year.
Never been in a similar situation before.
Unfortunately, scooter is the only transport I have; this has made life really difficult. Especially carrying grocery home :( (staying away from public transport during covid. So have to walk everywhere)
From my experience Service is something to be desired. I highly recommend all to look else where for ACCIDENT REPAIRS or SERVICE.
Hope I get the scooter back this year :( :( :(
Advice – Rang the service department with a problem I was having with my new continental 650 gt Royal Enfield. I found the staff courteous, and genuinely interested in hearing about my difficulty. The problem was sorted out with me not feeling like an idiot. Thanks fellers, would certainly recommend you to my friends. Show details
Excellent customer service - even from a world away! – A big thank you to John and the team at A1 Motorcycles for their excellent service and responsiveness. Excellent customer service, friendly helpful sales and service team – The sales staff and management were extremely helpful and personable, they have a great range of bikes to choose from, lots of spares and accessories and no pressure was put on me to buy. A good purchasing experience – Just bought a second hand bike from A1. Overall a good purchasing experience. I test rode three bikes, two new and one used and decided to buy the used bike. A1 were approachable, knowledgeable, straightforward and helpful.
A pity they don't sell Aprilia anymore – Bought my new Aprilia from these guys 2 years ago. John and team were super friendly and patient. Their neighbours up the road, the ones that rubbished Aprilia when it was a competitor product (but now sell them), did not really put in a lot of effort. But John was enthusiastic from the get-go and let me try lots of machines on the way to my eventual purchase. A shame they don't carry Aprilia (and Moto Guzzi) anymore...
Excellent customer service – I will set the record straight, I did not buy a bike through A1 Motorcycles in Ringwood but didn't buy anywhere else either. I would just like to inform others of my extremely good experience dealing with A1 Motorcycles as a whole and the time and especially the effort that John went to, making sure I was comfortable in the showroom. about 8 or 9 years ago I dropped a bike at another bike shop and have stayed away from all showrooms and motorcycles since then, I have always been nervous to walk into motorcycle showrooms and was very nervous to throw a leg over, but John and all the others at A1 Ringwood took the time and patience and gave me all the assistance I required to get back in the saddle again. They did everything required and needed to calm my nerves down, then allowed me as much time as I needed to throw a leg over and allowed me to take my time getting comfortable on it and it honestly felt like Christmas morning as a 5 year old which was weird as I am over 40 years old (not sure if they realised the joy I was having and the phobia I had just gotten over).
I will be getting back into bikes and will be ready to buy after losing a couple of kg's and will be heading back to A1 Motorcycles in Ringwood when that time comes. Thanks John at A1 Ringwood for everything, I now have my passion back for motorcycles.
Very satisfactory experience – Initially reluctant after reading some of the reviews but what with opinions being a very subjective thing I cautiously pursued a possible used bike purchase. I found Dean, John, and Brian to be very personable and helpful at all times. I experienced no difficulties in the process, and in my experience found no cause at all for complaint. I would have no hesitation in recommending them based on my experience.
Very disappointed. As soon as staff get your money they completely ignore you – I have left feeling disappointed and blown off the service was terrible after cash was handed over. All the reviews are the same 5 stars because someone's happy they have a new bike and there excited or there had terrible service. Hopefully at least 1 person takes my advice and dodges this place.
New bike – The owner the litte jockey let me take a bike for a spin and when i didn't want it because it was not for me started to lie about why i should buy it and just wanted a sale didn't care what bike suited me.
Superb customer service – John was very friendly and supportive. Offered fantastic service from choosing the right bike to delivery. Even during holiday season, his communication was excellent
Great service. Great bike – I've recently moved to Australia and was looking to get back on a bike after nine years away. Having not ridden for so long it was a bit daunting. to go with it was faultless. There was one minor hitch when organising the insurance but it was sorted the next day.
A big shout out to Brian for all his hard work and patience with me. He even stayed after closing on the Saturday of the MotoGP weekend to got through financing with me. He's a real credit to the team and really friendly guy.
The girlfriend is now looking to get in to riding and I know exactly where to go to get her kitted out with everything next time.
New bike Ringwood store – Bought a new motorbike from A1 recently and found them very good to deal with. Customer service for both the bike and gear has been excellent.
Once they have your money they don't care!!! – Brought a motorbike from here only rode it a handful of time and it blew up! I pay good money every fortnight to have this bike and now they are trying to tell me that this isn't there problem and I now have to fix it. They have been horrible from the start had so many problems before this. Selling dodgy bikes and they don't give you the time of day!! Never again will i be dealing with these incompetent people again!!!!!
I'm back on two wheels – I'm a mature age bloke who hasn't been on a bike for approximately 14 years and decided it was about time I bit the bullet and jumped back on two wheels again. The guys at A1 made it easy and enjoyable to buy my new beast. I felt like I was a kid again. I would recommend anyone to go there for a new or used bike. They make it an extremely… Read more
