booking a service technician to inspect the blind, they didn’t even show up for the appointment, and there was no communication or explanation.
When a product is still under warranty, you expect prompt service and support. Instead, I’ve experienced poor communication, broken commitments, and a complete disregard for my time. Based on my experience, I wouldn’t recommend ABC Blinds’ Outdoor Division.
If you want good blinds they're up there, well-priced, good quality. If you want good repair service they're chaotic, at least recently. It took one week to log a service call. and it seems you have to log a call online in this case, not that I can see anything distinguishing the services on their website. It was only when I visited the Cannington shop to return a colour swatch and asked about my service call that I was informed of this. So several emails and phone calls later from my first contact a chance conversation got me on the right track ( no pun intended) after no one did anything initially. So I paid the standard $270+ service fee and got given a date 2 weeks out, no problem. Day before I got a clear reminder SMS message to be at home 7am to midday. Which I was. Nobody showed by midday. Called Cannington and a very nice lady apologised, said she'd chase it and maybe he was late because he'd hurt his ankle. Mmm. A while later I got an SMS from the service tech ( without using his ankle I imagine) saying they'd be " about an hour" , which I asked meant what time? 1.15. They made that, fixed the blind in about 15 minutes. I think for a premium service fee ABC Blinds can do a lot better. Their problem is not their product, nor the niceness of their staff. They are just disorganised and poor communicators. Hoping the latest set of blinds we ordered with them get better future support.

Ralph was helpful from start to finish. The selection was hard due to the age of the house, however he helped choose a type & colour to suit. The cabinet maker stuffed up the measurements so the blinds in one section didn’t fit. Ralph & ABC worked quickly to get me new blinds made to fit even though it wasn’t their fault. Highly recommend! rectified; Clint came out to remove the track and curtain, and he was lovely to chat with and just an all-round good bloke. Once the correct track is installed and the curtain length is correct, I know they will look awesome. ***Update: Communication has been pretty average, and it's been a couple of weeks without a window dressing. The problems included: • Incorrectly measured blinds • Blinds falling out of their housing • Blinds that would not roll down properly using the chain mechanism • Replacement blinds arriving visibly crinkled/damaged • Repeated follow-up visits where issues were either not fixed or new problems were introduced What became most frustrating wasn’t even the faults themselves. Mistakes can happen in any business. It was the lack of urgency, communication, and quality control throughout the entire process. Getting updates often required chasing staff repeatedly, and there were long delays between attempts to rectify issues despite the blinds in my bedroom being unusable for extended periods. Even after the final visit, the blinds are only at a standard I’m willing to accept because I no longer wanted trades returning to my home again and again. For a over $2500 order, I expected a professional installation completed correctly within a reasonable timeframe. Instead, the process became exhausting, time-consuming, and genuinely stressful. To Rob Cunningham (service manager), the 10% refund and apology would have been acceptable, however, the time, effort, overall experience and lack of urgency fell well below what I would consider acceptable for a company in this industry. My advice to anyone considering ABC Blinds: Don’t just compare quotes on price alone. Consider the value of good workmanship, communication, and after-sales service. Because once things go wrong, you won’t enjoy the follow up from this company.

different types of shutters for different windows and doors, how each shutter would work best for each window opening or door. His attention to detail is amazing. Then, Mark the installer, he came out to do check measurements and once the plantation shutters arrived, he came back to do the installations. He is very thorough and knowledgeable, plus his attention to detail is amazing. Each shutter fits beautifully, and each shutter works or opens exactly to make each window or door operate beautifully. One reason we chose ABC is because when I started looking at plantation shutters, most companies use PVC, but ABC uses aluminum shutters, which for me was more appealing as they will last a lot longer and stay looking as good as they did on initial installation many years down the track. They won't rust, warp or need painting. They look amazing, stylish, modern. We did have vertical blinds which we had for 16 years, but decided to replace them with plantation shutters. This has brought our home into the modern era and makes our home look classy and up to date with very little effort. Thanks Ralph and Mark, you are both assets to ABC. We found ABC customer service impeccable from the staff who answer the phones, to the the staff that come out to do measurements and installation. We had no issues with booking installation dates and times, staff communicated well. We requested our bedroom to have the shutters installed on a separate date due to us getting the windows replaced, and ABC didn't hesitate to accommodate our needs. Our home was left clean, neat, tidy from Mark with all rubbish taken. Very pleased.
Follow-up · Yes, plantation shutters are child and pet safe, no chains or ropes are used, so they're safe. They're strong and sturdy. They provide good insulation and good noise and light reduction. I’m not really recommending the ABC blinds company, it was frustrating to deal with them. I wish I could cancel and get all my money back.

Four letter words. I could have asked him to leave but I felt intimidated as he was taller and stronger and do not want any violence towards myself. I can tell he is an angry person. I kept quiet and let him do the job and he left. I rang up ABC blinds in Wangara and they said they will Investigate but todate nothing has happened. No apologies. This guy is aggressive and could be violent. I will not use this company again. This happened nearly two months ago from memory. This is a genuine review of the company from a woman who could suffer violence on that day, as it is suffered abusive language.

the office and was not helpful Just rude and dismissive Not able to do installation for another week. I took time off to be available having rearranged other matters. Just poor service and I m still waiting for the manager to call me back after leaving couple of messages. They can't be trusted and I wouldn't recommend them Very Dishonest and rude people. They even got my sheer curtains wrong. Had to wait for the correct ones. How do you trust a company that disappoints all the time and can't provide decent customer service.
Follow-up · Still not happy as they do not acknowledge the fact that they failed to communicate about the installation times. Customer service was not helpful in scheduling a suitable time despite trying to do so and at no point did the company ring me to deal with the issue.
