Parts breaking – We Got some Roman Blinds done. The locks lasted only a few months. They broke. Called their store in Melbourne. Did not want to know about it. Mind you they had a 5 year warranty. I believe that the Melbourne store is closed now. Not surprised. Poor after sale service.

outlined as was the process. I found it particularly helpful to know what and when to expect things to happen- and Accent Blinds were on the ball. My quote for the work was emailed to me promptly.

The next stage in the process is where - after accepting the quote- Accent blinds send out the person who is going to install the shutters to see the job and check measure the window.

I was contacted just after Christmas 2020 to be offered an installation in the first week of January 2021 but I have a pretty busy life and had to ask that they defer installation for a week - preferably on a Thursday morning. I received confirmation of my requested time slot from Accent Blinds via text and telephone.

Day of installation- the installer arrived on time, worked quickly and neatly- taking great care with the fitting of the frame that would house the shutters. My house is old and nothing is square so seeing the installer put so much care into getting it right was refreshing.

Accent Blinds have installed a perfect product, on schedule and at a reasonable price.

Would have to say that the finished shutters look and function even better than I had hoped- very happy indeed. See ‘before and after’ photos.

Worst Customer service – we had our blinds installed yesterday one was wrong size then the Living room blind would not go up contacted Accent spoke to installation manager who was aggressive and unhelpful they go back to work on the 7th January but refused to send someone until the 12th January leaving us to spend 3 weeks in the dark when it was their second mistake… Read more

Poorly made and terribly installed..How is the company still in business. Save the headaches buy from another supplier – Seriously if you could go lower then 1 I would not hesitate...Bought vertical blinds installed at 45 degrees, came with a lifetime warranty and we'll what a surprise..The blind tracks could never handle the weight of the blinds and began to break..At the break point it meant that the vertical blinds would slide down the track.... Are you kidding...it's obvious that the materials on construction were poor and that combined with the installation was so bad that the blinds were never going to last more then a year or 2...We have resorted to using plastic ties to hold up most of the individual vertical blinds..

Poorly made and terribly installed..How is the company still in business. Pay extra if you have to but Don't rely upon anything this company supplies and installs to last...I can't tell you have bad this company is........

choice/design etc and it took forever to receive the quote. While I was waiting for their quote, I contacted Julie at Accent Blinds. Appointment was made efficiently, and in a timeframe that I required. Steve the Salesperson popped out while our house painters were on site with no issue. Measured up very quickly and even knew we were previous customers. Steve wrote up the quote on the spot and the price was brilliant for what were requiring so we paid the deposit. Simple, stylish and updated venetians for the whole house. Steve advised that the office would contact us in approx 3/4 weeks with installation date. True to his word, we received an sms with an install date which we then confirmed with the office, once again speaking to a real person - Julie. Frank the installer arrived within the noted timeframe and within 2.5 hours with no fuss, had all our blinds installed. Frank was clean, courteous and took away all the boxes and mess. Would be very happy to use Accent again and will call them in the first instance next time. Note: I had left a message to chase the quote from the previous company, which finally came in after Steve our Accent rep had attended. So a win for Accent!

Terrible customer service and after-sale support – Very poor customer service. My remote fails to work and I asked for replacement from the supplier which I am happy to pay for it. Great experience – Had Accent quote for updated blinds on 2 windows and more modern sliding screen doors (3). The communication from quotation to installation was excellent. The installer turned up on time and efficiently completed the installation. He cleaned up afterwards and also fully tested and explained operation. Poor Customer Care – I waited 6 weeks for someone to quote and 2 days before on a weekend was given a non-negotiable time via txt. Not the same customer care as when they originally installed throughout my house 30 years ago. Great service from start to finish – Doug came to measure for my blinds. He was involved and interested and made suggestions. The blinds were as ordered and were well installed. However, both of us missed that the end of one blind prevented a cupboard door from opening fully. days. He did, made new measurements and took the blind to be altered at Accent's workshop. The altered blind was installed again within a fortnight from when I first advised Accent of the error. Just as much my fault for not noticing the cupboard door. Perfect, friendly and efficient service from start to finish. The blinds look great. If I need more blinds in the future, Accent is where I would go.

Exploitative with call-out fees – My mother-in-law purchased an awning and three months after it was installed, the mechanism was damaged in the wind. She was ordered to pay a $110 call-out fee before anyone would even come to have a look at it (very much still under warranty), AND even though she was told that the serviceman was already in the area too. They claimed it was an act… Read more

Very disappointed at this exploitative nature especially considering she was even told on the phone after (and by the serviceman too) that had she not have mentioned the wind, it would have been repaired for free. So it's nice to know that this company punishes people for their honesty.
