included price. After installation and first blackout I realise backup protection was not installed. Contacted ADS solar and they claimed it was not included in my contract. Lucky I had it in writing. Forced me to contact fair trading which is still ongoing and after several months now it seems I have to take them to NCAT to get things sorted correctly. Its a shame becuase they did my solar previous and that is fine.

assured me that installation would definitely happen this time. Based on those assurances, I signed another contract.

During the quotation process, the company provided clear roof drawings and photos showing the split sections of the roof and prepared the quote accordingly. At that stage before signing the contract they did not mention that the split roof design would require additional charges.

Closer to the installation date, they informed me that the originally quoted Jinko panels and GoodWe inverter were unavailable and proposed replacing them with JA Solar panels and an SAJ inverter at the same price. I accepted the change in good faith.

However, at approximately 7:00 pm the night before installation, I received a call advising that because of the split/steep roof, I would need to pay extra costs, with the company covering only 40% and me paying the remaining 60%. I refused because the roof design was already clearly visible in the drawings and photos they used to prepare the quotation. The agreed contract price was $5,800 for a 10kW system.

The following day, another manager contacted me and gave conflicting explanations. Initially they claimed the issue was the split roof, and later stated the roof was too steep and therefore required additional charges. These concerns should have been identified and disclosed before signing the contract, not the night before installation.

Due to the repeated delays, poor communication, changes to agreed products, and last-minute additional charges, I decided to cancel the installation entirely. This has been a very disappointing experience on two separate occasions. I have now lodged a formal complaint against ADS Solar.

One of the most trustworthy companies I've dealt with I've used them twice for panels and once for a battery could not fault them. They were always prompt and on time their installers were very conscience and the prices were very competitive. Would definitely recommend them. Show details

2. I was promised a portable Anker battery post installation, this was supposed to be a promotion around Dec 25. Have not received this despite several followups, they keep pointing accountability to another dept.

3. The paper work required to be sent to United Energy has still not been completed and sent. I have not been able to export from my large battery even through summer when my panels would fill the battery to 100%.

4. Over the last 2 months, I have had no responses to to any of my emails or phone calls to this company. During sales, they were on the phone with me multiple times a day, and responded to my emails promptly, and followed up with a phone call.

all be turned off as the meter is running backwards. ADS have also been informed numerous times by phone and in writing of this yet done nothing. My daughters have been charged an estimated amount again which was the same as their winter bill of $1,470. Being the summer quater my daughters bill would be far less than that. Now, the problem I am seeing is because ADS switched everything on BEFORE the meter was upgraded and knowing the meter needed upgrading, then ADS should fairly cover all additional electricity bills until you complete the job. I also will note that there was a long delay in ADS providing paperwork to the energy provider which in turn didn't get to the job until March 2026 to upgrade the metre. It was then that they saw it needed some switch be installed by a 2nd level electrician and that everything was turned on causing the metre to run backwards. After numerous emails and phonecalls to ADS for help they simply said it wasn't in their scope and they just installers. Well if they have electricians then it would I would have thought but no one offered any kind of assistance. My daughters are ALSO still waiting for bird mesh to be installed, which was fully paid for up-front and not delivered. I woul appreciate someone at ASD please take some responsibility and help these young women sort out their solar and finish the job you started. This has gone on far too long. The Energy Ombudsman will be notified if something isn't done ASAP.

no clear answer. I emailed their management directly and got a response from Ryan Culin, who casually stated that there’s no timeline for the installation. Completely unacceptable. Priyanka from sales was made fully aware from the start that our Occupancy Certificate (OC) depended on the solar being installed. Yet here we are — still waiting — after raising this with them multiple times. They claim the approval from Essential Energy takes 65 days, which is a flat-out lie. The process only takes about 10 days. Clearly just a delay tactic on their part. Do not go with this company for solar. Unreliable, dishonest, and completely disorganized. Worst experience ever.
