no clear answer. I emailed their management directly and got a response from Ryan Culin, who casually stated that there’s no timeline for the installation. Completely unacceptable. Priyanka from sales was made fully aware from the start that our Occupancy Certificate (OC) depended on the solar being installed. Yet here we are — still waiting — after raising this with them multiple times. They claim the approval from Essential Energy takes 65 days, which is a flat-out lie. The process only takes about 10 days. Clearly just a delay tactic on their part. Do not go with this company for solar. Unreliable, dishonest, and completely disorganized. Worst experience ever.

I am so glad that I didn’t go ahead with this company. They are good at sweet talking and playing with your head trying to sell overpriced low to mid range system. Spoke to [Name Removed] and he offered $500 less off my lowest quote but he was more interested in comparing company vs company rather than the product. Very happy with our solar service both the panels and then separately and more recently the battery addition. No issues, they were on time and when unable to attend they communicated promptly. Were very busy and can’t always get to the phone so they utilised WhatsApp and text which suited us better.

Asked the for the following 1) That the contract is still on foot; 2) That ADS Solar to send me the document called Consumer Building Guide from NSW Fair Trading for works over $20,000 3) That ADS Solar need advise the installation date and commissioning dates of the upgrade solar system, Battery and commission of the second system to the battery. 4) ADS Solar to Supply Home Warranty Insurance for works over $20,000 5) Payment will be made as stated on the Quote/Contract (The date we deliver the system at your Premises) and not before the system is installed as stated by ADS solar.

ADS Solar Has not responded to my emails, and ADS Solar management is refusing to install the solar system and battery without payment upfront which is a breach to the contract and ACCC Laws and NSW Fair Trading Laws under the Home Building Act.

ADS Solar as stated to me the following "Please acknowledge that your remaining balance of $13,000 will be done from you when the installer will arrive at your premises along with the system. Once the payment is received they can start the job."

ADS Solar are in beach under the Home Building Act by Asking upfront payment "Please note that under section 8 of the Home Building Act 1989, the maximum amount of a deposit for residential building work is 10% of the contract price. A person must not demand or receive (or enter into a contract under which the person is entitled to demand or receive) payment of a deposit for residential building work if the amount of the payment exceeds 10% of the contract price. Should you require further assistance, please contact Building Commission NSW on 13 27 00."

ADS Solar still refusing to get the Insurance, "Home Building Compensation Scheme The State Insurance Regulatory Authority (SIRA) regulates home building compensation (HBC) cover in NSW. HBC cover is required where work is worth more than $20,000 (including labour and materials). The builder or tradesperson must give you evidence of HBC cover before they start work on your project or you pay them any money, including a deposit. For more information or to check the validity of your cover, visit sira.nsw.gov.au or call 13 10 50. Approvals To help your building project go smoothly: ● check with your local council or an accredited private certifier on approvals your building work needs ● engage a building certifier. This is your responsibility, not the builder´s. Contracts and payments."

Summary about ADS Solar.

1) ADS Solar do not follow the Laws and Acts of NSW; 2) ADS Solar still refusing to Install the System as per the Contract; 3) ADS Solar still refusing to get Home Building Insurance as per the Laws of NSW. 4) ADS Solar is in Breach of the Contract and still refusing to Install the system without payment upfront.

Extremely poor after sales service is understated. I wish I could have some negative star to this company. During sales they will give super promises and establish how great this company is compared to rest in Australia, bragging on their after sale service. Terrific example of one person not talking to another one. After phone calls, whatsapp chat and numerous emails, I could only gather that they did not even understand my issue. And after I spend all my time (which is unpaid) to explain the problem by sharing facts and data to support. NO CALL BACK or RESPONSE TO EMAILS. Plus, there is no other way of further escalation options provided...Such that leaves customer to go external or social media.

So first customer pay thousands of dollars to the company & then spend more time (which they don't get paid for) to follow up on resolution. And the employees who get paid from these sales don't even want to respond (let alone timely response) to customer & resolve their issue.
