Ready for happy hour – Purchased in April 2020. It gets to temp quickly and holds temp at 3 degrees well. The Bluetooth works every time and is effortless. I changed the plug to a meritt plug and haven’t had any disconnects since. We had a battery power loss issue once and I turned it to eco and the fridge handled it. I have it fixed with tie downs in our off-road camper and it gets bounced around with 4 wheel driving and never misses a kick. We use it all the time. Show details

Temperature setting failed – the temperature keeps going down to -10’C regardless of what I set it to. Has anyone else had this issue? If so would love to know if there’s a way to fix this. Cheers

Trouble from the beginning – Right from the start, we had trouble with the fridge not getting cold enough to be able to use it as a freezer on a trip through the Flinders Ranges. We had it looked at under warranty but the agent, who did not even have the proper test facilities, claimed it was working correctly and declined the warranty claim. I've just put it out for the hard… Read more

rubbing collection because now it won't even reach zero degrees overnight. The cost for repair is more than the fridge cost.

Excellent quality and generous size – Perfect for camping or anywhere you need a fridge/ freezer. Very well insulated and has a great cover. Love the Bluetooth app. Works perfectly and you can choose the desired temperature on your smartphone. I would definitely recommend this product. Show details

Simple and it works!!! – While camping, we purchased the fridge/freezer and connected it to our Jeep via the cigarette lighter connection. I liked the fact it was an easy setup. I was worried about draining my car battery and I like the battery checker setting. The only time I got an Err1 code was when the fridge was plugged in, and then I started the car. I suspect there… Read more

must have been some sort of change in voltage. After a few minutes it reset itself and was happy again. Next purchase will be an extra battery, solar panels and inverter. Really recommend

Bought for $399 after big discount – I have owned a number of fridges. The fridge that I have now is an Evakool RF60 - their top end model. I have had nothing but trouble with it for 4 years. I always have my fridges on at home running 24/7 and use them as extra storage. The Evakool cycles literally 5 times as much as the ALDI one. I have had the ALDI fridge for 9 months now, and it… Read more

has never missed a beat. I also attached a separate digital thermometer to it, and it will display a temperature within 1.5 degrees. I love the LED lighting, and the heavy duty latches. So far it has only been running at home 24/7, and is full to the brim, as we use it as an extra fridge. I have it set at -0c and can keep everything in fridge without freezing. I also notice it does not cycle anywhere near as much as the Evakool - and it is 1/4 the price. Still have to test it out in back of 4WD and on a camping trip, but so far - for a $400 buck fridge if it works for 5 years, then money well spent.

Error 6 straight out of the box – After reading these reviews I made the decision to purchase one of these but straight out of the box it showed error 6. It makes you wonder what sort of quality checks are done on these before they leave the factory. I will be asking for my money back & spend a little extra on a decent one that actually works from the start. Show details

Great fridge, very happy so far – Purchased three weeks ago (March 20), along with the portable folding solar panel and battery box (already had a deep cycle battery). Fridge works very well and does everything as advertised. Great on 240v as well as on 12v. My battery lasted FOUR days set at 2deg C. Show details

AWSOME unit – What an awesome fridge wish I'd bought 2 now, temp stayed steady and didn't drain the car battery when accidentally left on over night. Heaps of room for everything we needed plus some. So quite even when brought into the motel room, slept right next to it all night (did have to cover the very bright led though). Can't wait for ALDI to get more so I can get another to use as a dedicated freezer Show details

Excellent fridge freezer for the price – Bought this unit from Aldi and ran it as a freezer inside my camper trailer for 2 weeks nonstop . Maintained -18 to -15 even during mid 30 degree daytime temperatures. Unit operated on batteries and a 160 watt solar panel without any issue.. The supplied cover offers no additional insulation capacity , but can’t complain for the price. Show details

Great fridge, excellent price – At $549, it is no wonder that Aldi sold out of these units in less than a minute. This is an excellent fridge with plenty of storage and low power consumption. I have used this on two camping trips now, the first running on 240V and the second on 12V. On the second trip, a 105ah battery powered the fridge non-stop for 23+ hours and only dropped… Read more

to 12.4V. This was in 30° ambient daytime temperature and 11° night temperature, with frequent opening. Add a solar panel to the combo and I can see this fridge working without issue for 5+ days.

As with any fridge. it works best when filled to the brim as it is easier to keep cool contents rather than air.

The internal storage space works well but it does occupy 50% of the storage space in the rear of our 4x4. This is something to consider if you don't have roof racks or a trailer. However, once packed in the car, the Adventuridge app is a great way of checking the fridge's performance and current temperature (or just checking that the power plug hasn't been bumped out of place).

My advice, next time these come up for sale, line up early and buy one.
