Joy made it very easy to compare healthcare options and to understand the additional benefits available when joining AIA. AIA's Vitality Program, promoting health and wellness is an added incentive. Well done AIA!! – We were with Medibank Private for 40 years so moving across to AIA was a bit daunting but all I can say is I’m sooo glad we did! We’re saving money on the premium plus are receiving weeks of cash back as a joining promotion. We also LOVE their Vitality program! If you’re someone that exercises regularly the weekly rewards are fantastic and very motivational. Anytime I’ve needed to talk to someone, the communication has been great! Show details

Customer service exceeded expectations!!! – Just moved over to AIA, Amith’s genuine attention to providing information and comparing the cover I was on was not only easy to understand it was tailored to what I need. Just joined up and problems from the start. Can't login as there's a problem on there end also can't contact them as nobody there to answer phones. Guess I have no choice but to go too another company. Less than an hour being with them. Must be a new record Another. Day another problem. dismissive. Thankfully I did call as I was paired up with [Name Removed] who was super helpful, broke down each step and offered genuine advice which I was happy to take on. placed on hold for a ridiculous amount of time while they “review the situation” which is very straightforward. We are always promised that it has been “processed and will take 3-5 business days” and yet no money is refunded. It’s so unethical and disappointing. We are thinking quite seriously of switching to a better provider.

 Follow-up  · After weeks of getting no where with AIA and having to continually call back, I officially put in a complaint and threatened to contact the AFCA. It was sorted out the next day. I’m still considering mentioning it to the AFCA because I think what they have done is unethical.

AIA Health sales team convinced us into switching to from another private health insurance fund claiming great AIA Vitality benefits such as, that we will be eligible for $750 cashback for certain health related activities such as exercise, vaccinations etc. and multiple rewards such as cheap Hoyts tickets, 50% off Virgin Flights etc. Half year… Read more

into our membership they notified members that they are cancelling all rewards from 1/April 2026. This means that the promised $750 cashback is no longer achievable and all rewards from 1/4/2026 will be no longer available. Normally in Australia it is illegal, however apparently they have a small print that they can change the rules whenever they want as long as they give you 60 days notice. On top of that they will be increasing premiums. The reason we switched from another health provider were those very benefits that they are cancelling in the middle of our yearly contract/membership. Arrogant support person did not handle my enquiry about this issue in a professional manner. Rude and condescending. Very dodgy business. Avoid this company!

10 years as a customer means nothing. The value has worsened every year. I had recommended this health insurance to many friends and family as it used to be excellent with customer service and value with the AIA vitality program. However the recent changes mean it's no longer worth staying with AIA health. They used to stand apart, but now are just another corporate profit machine. Show details

Once again attempted to use my health insurance as I have a joint infection once again extremely difficult to do a claim as operator more interested in talking you out of raising a claim. When I told the operator that I wouldn’t bother with using AIA you could hear the smile in his voice.

It is a Chinese owned company where clearly not paying out any claims is a priority.

So I will battle through the public health system again at a large overworked public hospital.

I have had health insurance for past 9 years and AIA is the only company that does this. There sales team is fantastic however if you need them they will fall short if you are sick. A planned operation might be beneficial. Shop around I do like the app but that’s about it.

I can only comment on the sign up and transfer process which has been quick and seamless so far. Sam was very helpful and is obviously passionate about the product he is promoting. The policy and benefits are good value for money as far as health insurance goes and the Vitality program is definately a great sales pitch.
