holiday, don't book one. You can't rely on this company to do the right thing. After what I saw and experienced through AIG, I understand now, this company cannot be trusted, depended or relied on to act in the consumers' favour. Even in the most extreme cases where consumers have been victims of crimes. Shame on you!

I will never use AIG or Jetstar again – Utterly useless insurance. Jetstar cancelled a whole flight due to "operational issues". Could not rebook with Jetstar for nearly a whole week. Had to rebook with another airline at huge additional cost. Insurance claim rejected as I did not get preapproval and was not covered in the fine print. Scammers! Don’t waste your money!!! – Terrible company, they are liars, they never return calls or emails- they essentially try and get out of any obligation to pay out any insurance for any cancellation of flights and are not worth getting insurance with. Show details

Useless Travel Insurance – Our flight got cancelled due to engineering requirements. Airline offered free rebooking but no other flights available ok the same day. Phoned AIG to ask help if we can book a flight with a different airline. Apparently, this type of cancellation is not covered (carrier cancellation). Very useless travel insurance. Show details

extra insurance given what was happening with flights in Australia at the time and being school holidays

Our return flight was cancelled while we were checking our bags in. Our family of 6 had to split up to return home and on different days, and via other states.

In the end we were out of pocket $5000. I lodged a claim they took over 2 months with emails about wanting more information which all was sent with the original claim and when I finally complained stating it’s taking way too long I finally get an email saying they rejected the claim as they would not pay due to the flight being cancelled due to engineering fault.

I would not have purchased this insurance had the lady on the phone said no your not covered by this if engineering issues I would have gone to another provider and now I have to put in a formal complaint and will take even longer

DO NOT PURCHASE it’s a scam and how they are able to do so is disgusting both Jetstar and aig offering false insurance and their staff offering false information.

there no below on star as customer service, otherwise I would have given 0 stars, as I have called them but no answer and asked them to call me back writing an email, all went on deaf ear worst service provider ever
